I had the opportunity to spend the weekend in a rich man’s house and it was a terrible experience for me.

I was given a small room in the boys quarters and was shocked to find out I will have to spend the night with 3 other grown men. The only bed available in the room was a student’s mattress. I had to sleep on the veranda.

The food they served me was very small. I found out they only cooked 2 times a day, breakfast and dinner.

Such is life. Try not to have many children.

Those days! I was dealing with HS and eating mashed yams and oyel trying to laugh so hard at all the going on. I lost list of all the names I used...then you can create moniker left and right and center based on moods...even when class hard, you change monicker

I don't eat/drink custard or pap. I thought it makes one piss too much.
My mom taught me to make moin moin - once in a while when I make it, I eat it with Greek yoghurt only for lunch.
Oatmeal (1/2 cup or 1/3 cup of steel cut or old fashioned) by itself fills me so much.

I have tried eating oat with added food...hard to do.

And yes, if you have soup blender, you can use that. Some blenders are made specifically for hot food. They are soup makers.

Even some stand mixer with induction can do that. Stop giving excuses.
There are industrial soup makers. Restaurants should buy and use them.
No reason whatsoever in this 21st century will make us continue to use broom to cook. Short brooms like that are used to wash big non movable woks.

Too much labor beating the poor beans into softness with broom. I see chef using the immersion. A very good gadget to have in your kitchen if you cook beans soup.

Ingredients I use

Half derica of brown Beans
Pepper
Palmoil
Salt
Seasoning cube
Onion
Meat
Cow skin

Preparation
I pick and select the beans, then I wash to remove the brown skin.
I soak the washed bean for few minutes,then I pour in a pot ,I add water and onions.
Then I set the pot on fire to cook till the beans soften.

I blend with ijabe buy mashing it in the pot.
When it is smooth I strain with a plastic filter to remove the shaft.

Next is to rinse , seasoning and cook my meat with the blended pepper.

In a pot I added my bean milk ,meat boiled with pepper, seasoning cube (I use only one piece of chicken flavour),little salt, palmoil and washed cow skin.

I leave it to cook for few minutes .

My soup is ready ,it can be taken alone with any swallow of your choice.

It can also be mix with ewedu and stew

You did good. I will like to try it with rice.

Or just cook the beans mash and eat with the eba or pounded yam. Protein and carbohydrate.

You can pour excess water to make it light and add ingredients for taste. Then drain the water to use as soup.

Even any common blender does the work. What I do is to allow the cooked de-coated beans cool for some minutes before blending it. For the ewedu, just blend it straight after picking the leaves. It doesn't need pre-cooking
