Health / Re: Dr. Umoh Michael did not work for 72 hours - LUTH by armyofone(m): 4:55pm On Oct 11, 2023
Maybe as a resident, he is working overly hard to be the best at his job and finish up. In the process he was taking keeping sleep at bay stuff and coffee to sleep less... the combination might have caused heart problems ?

We know our outside...hard to know what is going on inside. Race against our human bodies.

Maybe he has underlying health problems he wasn't aware of.

What a loss of a brilliant person!
Rest well and condolences to his parents and family cry

I think if no skills then one must have the money. It is either have the skills or have the money to take you there. Not by asking or assuming other person take the financial responsibility to help you to travel.

Maybe your friend is discouraging you because you are indirectly asking for his financial help.

I don't believe so. Have you been to your village and see how many old people are there, still doing farming? Only in the cities do people age fast.

Suffer, excess sun exposure, stress and extreme hardwork aged these people you are referring to. They could be 55years or less.

[noquote author=Teetee777 post=126226975]You can still spend #300 for food in the north and okay.
You can buy rice and beans #200, meat #50, pure water #10.

Or

Buy Kunu (Pap) #100, Akara #100

Or

Buy fried potatoes #100, fried wara #100.

Or

Buy fried potatoes #100, wanke #100

I was surprised when I traveled to Jigawa state last week, I bought rice and beans for #200, meat for #100, and you know what, the girl gave me 5 pieces of meat. It surprised me that even in Kano state, meat is #50.

Very true.

Another thing to note about the North:

Everything is much cheaper in Muslim dominated areas. You will get the same value for far less in Gayawa than in Sabon Gari. If you want to buy foodstuffs, go there and buy. Thank me later.

Why 5 meats surprised you na ? Not them dey farm kawo?
Barkka dey yama. Nama ya yuwa.
I will love to live in the north for the simplicity.

Celebrities / Re: Mohbad: Naira Marley Issues Statement by armyofone(m): 12:14am On Sep 27, 2023
N3TRAL:
Mohbad was hypertensive- a health information he never hid. There's a reason hypertension is nicknamed "the silent killer". Despite being hypertensive, he was a hard drug user, two dangerous combinations.

In his mother's recent interview, she suggested that Mohbad was scared and not breathing fine during the recent periods she spent with him.

The body regulating Nurses in Nigeria has clarified that the nurse who allegedly "treated" him was not registered. Put differently, the person on whose medical care he spent his last hours on earth was not qualified to practice as a nurse.

The hospital that certified him dead confirmed that a nurse was treating him at home and it was when his situation deteriorated that he was rushed to the hospital. He was dead on arrival (DOA).

To the social media warriors, the possible causes of his death are:

1. Naira Marley's bullying and juju 😂

2. His wife's presumed infidelity with a certain Sam.

3. His beloved father who hated him.

From the very first moment the few of us at the other end of the spectrum received the details of his untimely demise, we established the outstanding remote cause to be drug abuse and the major immediate cause to be poor health care delivery by a quack who "treated" him without his medical history.

The mob cannot silent us. We anticipate the result of the autopsy.

Hypertension, hard drug but you forgot to add the beatings, bullying and intimidation he experienced.

Let's us as humans agree to disagree in life and in business. Let us learn to respect each other.

May he Rest in Peace.

Travel / Re: Japa: Nigerians Abroad Sent Over ₦‎1.5 Trillion To Their Families Back Home by armyofone(m): 7:17pm On Sep 26, 2023
gforce5:
Not surprised. Nigerians in Diaspora are Nigeria's biggest lifeline after oil. Despite this, you have so many idiots on this forum and other social media platforms mocking Nigerians abroad. You see them comparing salaries with people who live in first world countries. You see them saying that Nigerian "big boys" are doing better than most people in the diaspora. If so many Nigerians are rich, why is the poverty level so high? If Nigerians are really balling, why are so many families depending on remittances from relatives abroad? How many Nigerians can even afford to travel abroad for holidays? When i say that many Nigerians are among the most deluded set of people on the planet, people would't understand.

I'm puzzled why money poured in is very high compared to other countries.
Why is it that many other African countries don't remit money like Nigerians ?
