There was an incident that I reported on nairaland some years ago which I have repeated again . At Akinyele village at Ibadan where you have International Cattle Market and another market (goats market) about 2km away. A Togolese family sells palmwine in the Village. I was there with two military officers, we met the wive with little children sick. Later, the husband came and informed some people they were relocating to another town because the Immigration Officers have identified them and are always harassing them.

Few days later, we came around and met Immigration Officers in the Palmwine joint. The people with me on mufti said they should never come around again. It degenerated into a major issue. We asked the Immigration Officials of how many Chadians and Nigeriens in both the Cattle and goats markets they have arrested? They said it is impossible to identify them as the Sarkin of each market protects them saying they are Arewa.
