Why do we fight each other? Its only one God we all are praying to...we speak the same words while in prayers,we all believe in powers of prayers...lets unite cos the evil one loves it when we insult or fight each other .... ONE GOD,ONE LOVE,ONE FAITH...lets unite.

If the right part of quiting a bad habit is to go for guidance and counselling...then going for confession should be the best step to be taken in order to remind us the grievousness of that sin. Protestants agreed with counselling, were you go and tell the pastors your problems and sometimes your sins..and in turn receives advice. So what is the difference between confession and counselling? |
The practice of Confession arises from the example and command of Jesus, who showed that human nature could be used by God as an instrument of grace and forgiveness. He said "That you may know that the Son of Man has the power to forgive sin..." ( Mt. 9:6; Mk 2:7-10; Lk 5:21-24). The Hebrew title He used was "ben Adam" meaning "Son of Adam." This was the Hebrew way of saying "a human being." Jesus always gloried in His Humanity, since through It He redeemed us. He communicated this authority to His Apostles on Easter night, "Whose sins you shall forgive they are forgiven, whose sins you shall retain they are retained" ( Jn 20:19-23). In this way He gave the Apostles the power to give "Peace" (v.21), which is nothing less than the reconciliation of man with God. The text even makes clear how Confession is to be conducted. Christ's representative, the priest, must decide whether to forgive or retain. Therefore, the penitent must confess each and every serious sin, that is anything which separates him from Christ. If the priest judges he is truly sorry, Hemustabsolve since Christ's Passion merited forgiveness for everyrepentantsinner. Only if the person shows no willingness to give up sin does the priest retain, that is withhold absolution, as we "do not give what is holy to dogs" ( Mt 7:6). In one form or another the Sacrament of Penance has been in continuous practice in the Church. Its existence in all the Churches of the First Millennium, even those separated from Rome, shows its apostolicity. The present Catholic discipline of secret confession dates to the early middle ages, though there are suggestions of an even earlier practice. Prior to that, confession of sins involved lengthy public penance for great sins such as adultery, murder and apostasy from the faith. Thankfully, it is much easier today. The point was, however, that serious sin is a horrendous offense against God that ought to be rare among the baptized but frequently is not. In the second and third century theological battles were fought over whether Penance could be received more than once after Baptism. The rigorists, like Tertullian, left the Church and their movements passed into history. Even the practice of the sacrament today is no encouragement to sin, as they thought. On the contrary it requires humility to confess your sins. It also gives great peace to hear the priest say in Jesus' name "I absolve you from your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." It is Christ's will that we hear those words. Although God CAN forgive sin directly it requires a perfect motive: love of Him and sorrow over having offended such a good Lord. An imperfect motive would mean we have not fully turned from our sin back to God. Not every one can rise to the occasion, so rather than excluding the marginal person struggling with sins, perhaps even over a lifetime, Christ has given us the Sacrament in which He raises us up, even when our sorrow is weak and imperfect. This shows the dependence of the sacrament on grace and mercy. As Jesus himself said, He came not to save the self-righteous but the sinner. Don’t make a woman cry! There is nothing as expensive as a lady’s tears. "Six billion dollars in the hands of one Jonathan’s minister could have helped to build the 2nd Niger bridge, and the Igbo leaders would not have had to beg any Jonathan to give the South East an overpriced PPP bridge. "Six billion could have built 12 brand new Enugu-Port Harcourt expressways or 18 brand new Enugu-Onitsha expressways, and the average of 20 accidents per week associated with the poor road state would have never occurred. "If prudently managed, six billion could have created two million jobs in Nigeria, and, as a result of economic viral effect, taken 10 million people out of poverty. However, one Jonathan’s minister diverted it to fly private jets, buy perfumes, Victoria’s Secret, Mary Kay products, and property overseas. At the same time, someone is trying to play religious and ethnic cards. Nonsense! I want the oil looters to realise that many Nigerians know where they hide their money." |
When Nollywood upcoming actress, Hannah Ogundare is in her element, she plays hardly with any rules. Tall, beautiful and sexy the actress has got the goods not only to play with sensibility of her fans but also to knock them out as she recently did in a photo shoot that sent the internet into an uproar. Not the Maheeda or Afrocandy type of photos but Hannah told us enough about herself as one who could take the plunge and do some really serious stuffs in a film. Of course, she is a rare talent and takes acting as seriously as an artist would take a piece of magnificent art . “Acting has always been my dream. Acting comes to me naturally” she says She’s any man’s dream but not without a word of caution. She doesn’t really like sex. Does that sound scary? She is not frigid either but prefers things to shape out her own way, the way she likes it and wants it. “I don’t really enjoy sex, I prefer romance. Meanwhile, I don’t have sex often because I don’t have a man presently. But that does not mean I won’t sort myself whenever the need arises. I can always arrange that” she told Potpourri. Interestingly, fellow actors are not hot on her shopping list. “I don’t think I can date an actor but if such happens, there’s nothing I can do about it but the possibility is very slim” she says http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/08/i-dont-really-enjoy-sex-i-prefer-romance/#sthash.YlzVUB07.dpuf

I Am a Christian and i want a Muslim to explain this verse of quran_ Al imran 3:55 ]Mention[ when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you ]in submission to Allah alone[ superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

Why do Nigerian girls feel the only thing they can bring into a relationship is sex? Why do they think the only thing a man wants in a relationship is sex? Nigerian babes stay in relationships believing their only input is to satisfy their partner’s sexual urge, while what they must get is financial assistance, care and encouragement. They erroneously believe our penis influences our decisions, and as such, that's what they should be concerned about. This is so wrong on so many levels. Even if a lady you admire is not your girlfriend, but a good friend - and you grant a huge favour to her, the only thing her brain will tell her to do to show appreciation is to offer you sex. She's gonna think thanking you alone is not enough - she will do everything possible to lure you into having sex with her. By that, she's satisfied she has shown "full" appreciation. This is a fact. And it is crazy. Nigerian ladies make it seem Nigerian guys are just after sex. We also need care and encouragements. We expect our girlfriends to render good advice and support our life goals. We need our girlfriends to be in it, not just for what they get, but for what they can bring to the table. That's why some guys abandon their longtime girlfriends to marry ladies who they believe can bring more than sex into their marriages. Nigerian ladies, please change the way you reason. Sex is not the ONLY thing we need, for Christ’s sake. Let this sink in. |
Arsenal beat Chelsea 1-0 in the Community Shield on Sunday, securing the first trophy of the new English season and setting the stage for the start of the Premier League next weekend. Here AFP Sport looks as five key discoveries from the Wembley clash. After enduring years of costly calamities from his goalkeepers, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hopes his £10 million pre-season swoop for Petr Cech will finally bring some much-needed stability between the posts and the early signs look promising. His assured presence radiated confidence to an often nervous Arsenal back-four and when the 33-year-old was finally called into action in the 69th minute he leapt to his right to make his only significant save as he clawed away a goalbound Oscar free-kick. With Chelsea bombarding the penalty area with crosses in the closing stages, Cech never flinched and even when he couldn’t claim cleanly his defenders had been organised well enough by the Czech to ensure no damage was done. Wenger ends Mourinho mastery Wenger’s failure to secure a single victory over Jose Mourinho in their previous 13 meetings was becoming yet another weapon for the Chelsea boss to use whenever he wanted to antagonise his old rival. Against that painful backdrop, denying Mourinho the chance to land another psychological blow made this an especially sweet success for Wenger, although he would surely swap it for a win when the teams next clash in the Premier League on September 19. But even more than the victory itself, Wenger will take heart from the way his fired-up players showed they have no reason to feel inferior to the champions, producing the kind of aggressive yet composed display that suggested they should make a serious challenge for a first English title since 2004. Jury still out on Falcao Brought on at half-time for the ineffective Loic Remy, Chelsea’s new striker Radamel Falcao couldn’t dispel the memories of his lacklustre loan spell at Manchester United last season. That distinctly underwhelming year at Old Trafford wasn’t enough to dissuade Mourinho from taking the Colombian to Stamford Bridge on loan from Monaco as back-up for Diego Costa, who was absent at Wembley after suffering yet another recurrence of his nagging hamstring problem. But, while it’s too early to make a definitive judgement, Mourinho might have been a little concerned to see Falcao, no longer the incisive finisher or smooth mover of old, labouring in vain to make any impression against the Gunners. Walcott makes his case Theo Walcott has never hidden his desire to assume the lone central striker’s role in Arsenal’s attack and, finally allowed to move in from his right wing berth by Wenger, the England international seized the opportunity to show he could start instead of the erratic Olivier Giroud and injury-prone Danny Welbeck. Although he didn’t net against Chelsea, he still set the tone for fired-up Arsenal’s spritely display when he immediately won a crunching tackle on Nemanja Matic straight from the kick-off. His potent combination of pace and clever moment kept Chelsea’s defence on the back foot, allowing him the time and space to tee up Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for his goal with a perfectly-weighted pass across the penalty area. Ox adds to Wenger’s weapons Derailed by injuries and inconsistent performances over the last two years, Oxlade-Chamberlain — hailed as a future star when he joined from Southampton four years ago — was in danger of becoming Arsenal’s forgotten man. But the England midfielder, still only 21, gave a well-timed reminder of his talent when he cut past Cesar Azpilicueta before drilling a superb left-foot strike into the top corner of Thibaut Courtois’s goal in the 24th minute. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/08/5-things-to-learn-from-the-community-shield/#sthash.qoCCBlcD.dpuf

PEOPLE HAVE TRIED TO WATER DOWN JESUS' STATEMENT in the Bible about it being harder for a rich man to enter Heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. Some wrongly interpret the eye of the needle to be a small gate entering the city of Jerusalem. Others wrongly interpretcamelas meaningrope. But Jesus used a wonderfully clever illustration and meant what He said:The eye of a needle means the eye of a needle. How brilliant is that! Jesus said, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:24. Similar verses are in Mark 10:25 and Luke 18:25). What is theeye of a needle, or aneedle's eye? We believe the phrase means exactly what it says, and does not need watering down to make it easier for a rich man to enter Heaven. We will show you why. Small gate? Some say the needle's eye, or the eye of the needle, was a small gate at the entrance of Jerusalem and other cities. When the city-keepers had locked the main gates, camels and their owners who arrived after the lock-out could squeeze through this gate. But scholars have searched in vain to find ancient evidence that people referred to any of these gates as “the eye of a needle”. Camel means rope? Others have said the Aramaic word forcamelwas the same as the word forrope, and that Jesus meant it was hard for rope to go through the eye of a needle. Well, Jesus did speak Aramaic, but again, reliable evidence is weak that this is what He meant. Such explanations downplay the wonderfully memorable and clever illustration that Jesus came up with to teach the difficulty of getting into Heaven if you are loaded with loot. He was talking to the rich young ruler at the time, and the man was sad at hearing this because he was very rich. He would hardly have been sad knowing that camels always got through the city gate. And he would hardly be sad knowing that anyone could untwist a piece of rope to thread it through the eye of a sewing needle. Impossible means impossible What the rich young ruler was sad about was that Jesus said it would be impossible for him to enter the kingdom of God because of his riches. The bystanders recognized this is what he meant, because they said, “Who then can be saved?” (Luke 18:26). And Jesus replied, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God” (Luke 18:27). This kills the “little gate” theory, because that was not impossible. And it kills the “camel rope” theory, because that was not impossible either. What these verses say are that:1.The rich man had to be willing to put God before his possessions. 2.Only God could save him. Rich people can be saved like anyone else if they do what God wants. Joseph of Arimathea was wealthy. And Paul said in Romans 2:11 that God doesn't show favouritism. Anyone can be saved. The illustration of the camel going through the eye of a needle was perfect for those He was speaking to.The eye of a needle means the eye of a needle.Jesus' explanation that what is impossible for men is possible with God shows that rich people can be saved and enter Heaven. But only if they put their faith in God rather than in their riches.

which is preferable? Setting of laws or asking God for his grace, A child whose parents did not dedicate to God Almighty will be warned/advice not to mingle with bad friends,or involve in all sort of immoral acts... But the moment the child steps out from home for a while, may be to go and study far away....such child tends to ignore such parental advices, and he/she starts to misbehave.... But a child whose parent dedicates his up bringing to God,with or without advice, such child will surely live a good life...such child never brings shame upon his/her family.... To me,that is the simple definition of LAW AND GRACE... Take another example... To live by Jesus teachings and to live by mosaic laws(laws of God through prophet moses).... We all know much about the israelites journey in the desert with moses, how they rebel and repent occasionaly...e tc.. Jews before birth and death of jesus and also the Muslims tends to believe much on mosaic laws (TORAH) and even practice some till today..eg...1.w hen you had contact with your wife in the night, before sun rise both of you have to take your birth{purify} before early morning prayers, 2.every israelite male child must be circumcised. 3.wearing of white garments, leavin g of beard, pulling off sandals before prayers, purifyi ng oneself before prayers, obeying of the commandments etc..read more laws in the book of exodus... The truth is that the israelites made great mistake,by telling moses they can obey God's laws (exodus19:7- ![]() no man has,and no man can or will ever meet up to God's standards...non e!... Cos of israel stubborn and disobedients to such laws..God destroyed most of them in the desert, and God also called them "stiff necked people" the reason why God is pleased with Abraham, is cos of faith he has,and not of willingness to obey LAWS...israelit es enjoyed Abraham's favors through the covenant God made with him in the book of (genesis15:9-21 ) this favors remained with the israelites untill God made another covenant with moses at mount sinai(exodus19 read all)..this time around this covenant was not favourable to the israelites, for they told moses that they want to see and speak to God,but when God's waves striked their camps they were all terrified..you can see how stubborn they are, and how their acceptance to obey God's laws lead them into.... Come o! I never finish self, see the list of the people who laws are meant for by St.paul in the book of (Romans 1:28-32) A friend{from diff.faith} once asked me,Christopher, why is it that ur faith{religion} says that they believed in the 10 commandments,ye t they continue to fail in keeping them? My reply was this; if the commandment says we should not steal, kill, comm it adultery etc..so what happens if i steal but did not kill anyone, have i kept the law?for if you observe 5 out of the 10 of the commandments and you falter in the remaining ones,do you think you are free from the wrath of God? No! The whole commandment as summarised by Jesus christ is two..love God and your neighbour.. When you love God and your neighbour, you will have no evil against anyone in your heart...LOVE SHOULD BE THE CENTRAL MESSAGE OF EVERY RELIGION... I knew their are about 32 laws guiding the way you maintain a good table manner in islam religion, but if i may ask how many have you kept faithfuly? that is just for table manner, not even laws concerning going to bed, talking, pra ying, working virtualy in all endeavours of your life islam has rules and regulations...b ut can man ever keep to such? Cos to me if you disobeys one you are guilty of failing all... Keeping to Laws even the constitution of a country is not easy, talkless of trying to keep or meeting up to God standards... THE WHOLE TRUTH IS THIS TO SAY YOU ARE UNDER GOD'S LAW IS VERY VERY VERY DANGEROUS,AND YOU CAN NEVER ESCAPE PUNISHMENT IF CARE MAJORS ARE NOT TAKING..BEING UNDER LAW,MEANS SERIOUS DEDICATIONS TO GOD ALWAYS... BUT BEING UNDER GRACE,YOU ARE SIMPLY TELLING GOD THAT YOU CAN NOT DO IT ON YOUR OWN,BUT WITH GOD INTERVENTIONS.. .. Laws made by man alone should be possed to be obeyed by man...but never request laws from God,for you cant meet that standard... TO CONCLUDE,CHRIST IANS ARE LIVING UNDER JESUS'S COVENANT MADE ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY,WERE HE SAID "ITS FINISHED" SINCE THEN {2015 years ago} CHRISTIANS HAVE BEEN RELIEVED OF MOSAIC LAWS,WE ARE UNDER JESUS COVENANT OF GRACE WHICH WE BELIEVED IS THE ONLY TRUE WAY TO TOTAL SALVATION.. Praise God! |
TIME has legs, it can run. Time has wings, it can fly. Time dreams dream and sees vision. It is both a doctor and a nurse; it’s a great healer, a redeemer and strange craftsman, with benevolent virtues. Time makes things happen. It is a game changer, a transformer, an inventor and innovator. A voracious squanderer, yet an ingenious architect; time builds and renovates ruined walls of great empires and nations. Imagine how time flies! Just tomorrow is now our today and the latter only consigned into the garbage bin of yesterday, so that there will be history, for those who see history as a record of past events. That is the magic of time. But, time and history are inseparable Siamese twins; mutually indispensable. While time reverses the heavy hands of history, the latter plays the curator of the tide and trend of time. At every trying moment of history, there are great men, and great men make great nations. The height, light great nations, attained by great men, are not by a sudden flight, nor by sleeping and slumbering, but by toiling doggedly through audacity and constancy of purpose. As valiants, they make history, while the villains mar it. They ride and triumph on the tidal torrents of time. In their triumph, they brave and conquer the macadamised labyrinth of history. When the life of great nations are dragged along the stormy mucky path of history, fate, in her infinite benevolence, throws up a great valiant man to steer the ship of statecraft from imminent wreckage. Such was the case of Nigeria, May 29, 2015. Time and fate met the people at the cross-roads of history and raised them from the dungeons of Armageddon- lootocracy, reckless impunity and predatory polinomic brigandage- to the safe havens of restitution. At the Eagle Square, Abuja, venue of the infamous one-million-man march of the Abacha era, fate threw the nation’s destiny on the lap of one man – Muhammadu Buhari, a retired General and ‘field marshal’ of the common man. His mission: To restore the lost glory and pride of a great nation, Nigeria. Elation, ecstasy and unprecedented euphoria marked the turning point of the ascendancy of the former military junta to the enviable throne of a democratic leadership in Africa’s most populous nation. From Africa to Europe, from Asia to America, Nigeria held the world spellbound. The global community stood still as power transited from a democratically elected incumbent president to another, the first of its kind in the political history of Nigeria. That’s the magic of time and history. Yes! A great victory of global historic significance was scored as PMB courageously took up the mantle of democratic governance amidst pomp and pageantry. Imbued with rare charisma, the gentleness of a dove and the enthusiasm of reformer, Buhari courageously put on the thorny crown of challenging leadership to launch his mission of emancipating the people from the throes of hunger, grinding poverty, disease and deprivation. He came at the nick of time when the problems of institutional corruption, massive embezzlement of public funds, growing inflation, unemployment, fuel scarcity, incessant strikes, constant power outage and general infrastructural decay, destroyed the fabrics of our national heritage. Now, it’s not a moment of respite and complacency. It’s a time for re-awakening, renewed hope and inspiration for a great and brighter future for Nigerians as a people so blighted by neglect, deprivation and destitution arising from endemic corruption and bad leadership. As a man of great vision and extra-ordinary courage, Buhari’s coming presents Nigerians, an opportunity for a new beginning, a new perspective and hope after grinning and bearing it under the grim and penurious years of prebendal politics and economic decadence. Hopefully, Buhari’s triumphal response to the clarion call has drawn the iron curtain on the dramatization of the execrable machinations of the old order and ushered in a fresh dispensation tinged with optimism and positive expectations. Considering the overwhelming expectations of the people, Buhari must understand that the tasks ahead, are no doubt overwhelming. The evidence is already obvious in the bleak economic condition of the country, the suffering of the masses and the need to revitalise the nation’s dilapidated infrastructure – power, oil and gas, health, education, aviation, poor road networks and the comatose industrial sector. Indeed, PMB’s eventful ascension to power is a clear demonstration of God’s love for the people. This is because the change they earnestly craved for came on a smooth sail contrary to the expectations of the nation’s detractors and prophets of doom. As the president settles down to work, he should realise that he has inherited a nation that hitherto flowed with milk and honey, a nation formerly endowed with affluent splendor, but currently submerged in abject penury stemming from suffocating corruption and excruciating debt burden. Therefore, there is a very strong need for PMB to gird his loins and stoop down to rebuild the broken walls of our homestead. It’s time to clean the mess and the odious debris of debilitated old order. In the memorable words of Prof. Wole Soyinka, “if the house we occupy develops cracks, call in a local bricklayer to place a swab of mortar over the cracks, and then paint over the unseemly sight.” The bricklayer is Buhari. He must rise and mobilise the people against hunger and poverty. It’s time for the president to disabuse the minds of cynics who see him as a spent-force and military jack-boot, who came to enact the era of despotism and militocracy. The PMB administration should not see power in its monstrous gladiatorial macabre dance of the old order when the adherence to the rule of law, accountability and constitutionalism, were observed in breach; when the squandering of our national heritage fetched villains accelerated promotions, but the valiant, the sledgehammer and brazen contempt. As he had already set the alarm bell in his historic statement: “I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody”, he must see himself as a man of the people in a nation of variegated interests, while being wary of the political Ahithophels and sycophants, who parade the corridors of power seeking what to loot. PMB must stand up to defend the mandate of the people who voted him into power, by insisting on good governance and national interest even against the will of some self-seeking cabals around him. That is the only way he will not step on the political banana peels that swept off the Jonathan administration and his foot-soldiers. It’s also the only way the people can stand up to defend his government when the chips are down. Indeed, there is much to be done. Therefore, we must unite all forces of progress and brave the peril of the past and embrace the present to rebuild the broken sinews of our collective dream. With the ascension of Buhari to the leadership rostrum of the Aso Rock, Africa and the entire global community have adjusted their political focal lens, opening a new aperture for the people and the entire world. In this respect, Mr. President needs to embark on comprehensive reforms in all sectors of the economy, especially in the oil and gas sector by rebuilding the local refineries. He should mobilise resources including the professional and competent manpower to revamp the local moribund industries such as Ajaokuta Steel Rolling Mill, the entire textile industry, all the power-generating projects embarked upon by the Jonathan’s administration. On the global front, kudos should be given to the President for taking the right step in the right direction through the embracing the global community in the fight against the Boko Haram insurgency in the North. This is a clear demonstration of Mr. President’s understanding of the fact, that no society or nation functions effectively in a midst of social insurrection and wanton destruction of lives and property, and as such the need to embark on the restoration of peace and security across the country. It’s also in recognition of the inter-dependence of nations not only in the fight against global terrorism, but also as a means of attracting foreign assistance towards solving critical socio-economic challenges facing the country. Above all, the President must not forget to redeem his avalanche of electioneering promises by creating equal opportunities for all Nigerians. In doing this, he must take the entire nation as his constituency without political or religious considerations. He must do away with the problems of mediocrity, ethnicity, religious bigotry and other anti-development tendencies, and put the interest of the nation first. However, it’s no longer news that millions of Nigerian youths are languishing because of high rate of unemployment, just as the masses are wallowing in abject poverty, diseases and hunger, especially in the North. That is the only way the glory and pride of the nation can be restored. |

Kaduna - Governor Nasiru El- Rufa’i of Kaduna State said the state has suspended its plans to establish a new university in Kafachan. The governor announced the suspension on Tuesday, in Kaduna, when he received officials of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund who paid him a courtesy visit. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the plan to establish a second state university was initiated by the immediate past administration of Mukhtar Yero. El-Rufai said the project was suspended because of inadequate funds. “The state government has no money to establish a new university; the previous administration which initiated the plan, did not make any provision for it in the 2015 budget,” he said. The governor said he would rather deploy the lean resources available to his government into the upgrading of existing facilities at the Kaduna State University, in line with global standard. He noted that infrastructure and learning facilities at the university were inadequate, forcing the institution to send some of its students elsewhere to complete their studies. El-Rufa’i said the focus of his administration was to expand the institution’s academic programmes and make the university rate among the best in the country. Earlier, Prof Suleiman Bogoro, Executive Secretary of TETFUND, said the Fund had provided more than N6 billion to the state university in the last one year for various projects and services. He, however, assured the governor that the agency would continue to fund the construction of infrastructure and provision of learning facilities in tertiary institutions in the state. - NAN m.news24.com/Nigeria/National/News/Kaduna-suspends-plan-for-new-university-20150623 |
Their is this new ladies fabric in vogue for the past few years now...though i dont know the name, but i do hear people calling it either 'lengis' or skin tight trousers though am not too sure of the name sha...but if not all ladies,i will say most ladies have or had worn that particular tight fitted trouser before... When that fabric was first introduced or being sold in northern parts here,it generated a serious debate...but as the debate was on going, the northern women have already adopted the new fashion...for they claimed that the tight fitted trouser helps in covering some vital parts of their body...which in Islam its forbidden for a woman to reveal essential parts of her body...and some states in north also banned women from boarding the popularly called "OKADA" or motor cycle for commercials...s o such transport system belongs to men alone...while women are to use taxi for public transport system...for its believed that if a woman should climb an okada, some of her vital body parts may be exposed... But with the invention of that new clothing...ladi es/women can now put on such dresses and should be covered with other dress...and the veil(hijab) as usuall...with such she can board an Okada without her body parts been exposed!... With such development, one could easily come across a muslim lady/woman either in urban or rural areas putting on such tight fitted trousers under veil.... So what am i writing?and why am i citing muslim ladies? You see in all religion its only islam that sticked to a norm and never changes it...islam is a religion that follows strictly what the Holy prophet (SAW) and companions have left to be a guide to its followers...and no man on earth can change a single word from theirs... Unlike christianity and the Holy Bible, the book of the Holy Quran can NOT be reversed, edited or translated into any form or by any reason by any person or persons... Putting on trousers is not in the Bible neither is it in the Quran...but all i care to know is that both the two religions either consciously or unconsciously have finally accepted the wearing of trousers...infa ct most primary and secondary schools in northern parts prefer ladies wearing trousers than skirts... Though women put on trousers, but does that stops them from worshiping God? Does that disobeys the two religion stands on women to put on trousers? God states clearly in the holy Bible.by saying "your ways are never my way and your thoughts are never mine" and Angel Gabriel plainly rebuked mary mother of Jesus..when she doubted his messages..and He said to her "with God all things are possible!" so what am i writing? That God remains unchangeable God does not make it impossible for Him to change things or situations.. GOD CHANGES THINGS BUT HE HIMSELF DO NOT CHANGE..and that is what it means....HE said in the bible that whatever two or more elders of the church agreed upon,if its pleases Him,it will also be signed and approved in heaven... One thing i love about christianity is that its operates spiritualy and only those in spirit that can understand it...Jesus did'nt said no one can be like him,but He said you can even do greater miracles than i have performed, you can say to the mountain get up from there and be placed in another place, and if you have faith it will obey you...so Jesus condemned sticking unto one heresy for a total salvation....RE LIGION PATTERNS SHOULD BE FLEXIBLE,BUT UNDER GUIDANCE OF GREAT WISDOM...WISDOM SHOULD LEAD THE WAY TO AVOID FALSE HERESYS...the world is changing very fast and negatively too ,and so with such religion leaders should also seek wisdom when making ways in adopting spiritual changes in the church...in other not to lead people of little faith astray... CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION,BUT A BODY..A SPIRITUAL BODY WHICH OPERATES DYNAMICALLY UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.... A religion to me is like group of people who worships God under certain laws and guidance that can not be changed.in order to achieving a certain goal... |

The three were last seen boarding the BA flight scheduled for an 8:00am departure to London.Sahara Reporters Media SaharaReporters learnt that more party officials and President Goodluck Jonathan’s aides, ministers and several appointees have either fled or planning to flee the country afraid that incoming President Muhammad Buhari will probe the administration of Mr. Jonathan and jail those found guilty of corruption. Last week, the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-madueke traveled on the same flight with Buhari to London, while on the six hour trip she made several attempt to start a conversation with Mr. Buhari, but the 72-old winner of Nigeria's presidential election known for his no-nonsense stance on corruption rebuffed all her entreaties. It is not known if she ever returned to Nigeria. The wife of the Mr. Suswam, Yemisi, reportedly left yesterday to Houston in the US to avoid getting caught up in the sweep. http://saharareporters.com/2015/05/29/benue-governor-gabriel-suswam-segun-aganga-and-pdp-chieftain-tony-anenih-flee-nigeria |

"Oil subsidy means government is paying part of the cost of you purchasing a litre of petrol. This became necessary because we import petrol at international market price. At such price (Up to 300 Naira per litre), it will be too expensive for an average Nigerian. So government now said ok Capital oil (for instance), buy petrol and sell to our people at say 100 naira and we will pay you the balance of say 200 naira. That balance is the subsidy. Subsidy wasn't something that should have lasted this long. It was a short term measure put in place to ensure availability of the product till enough refineries are built to cater for domestic consumption at least. Unfortunately, none of that has happened for over 20 years now and what was supposed to be beneficial has now become a monster. The oil marketers collect money from govt and don't bring any oil....and sometimes when they do, they manipulate the availability and drive up the price. So they collect money from govt and still sell at prices higher than govt fixed price. SUBSIDY should be removed 100%. Removing subsidy will stimulate healthy competition (more people than just the govt accredited importers will be involved) such that even if the prices are higher, it will never be scarce and competition can also drive down the price. Again, the subsidy money can be channeled towards developing local refineries!" |

Most times, our Protestant brethren feel the teachings of the Catholic Church are not biblical, but my joining this debate group is to prove that ALL Catholic teachings are Biblical. It's not their fault that they read and understand the Bible how their pastors want them to do it. THE BIBLE TEACHES PURGATORY There is proof for Purgatory in the Bible. It’s in 1 Corinthians chapter 3, verse 15. Let’s examine this Biblical proof for Purgatory. I will use 1611 King James Version of the Bible, a famous Protestant translation. 1 CORINTHIANS 3:15 IS IRREFUTABLE PROOF FOR PURGATORY 1 Corinthians 3:11-15- “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” Now let’s look at the last part of this passage again. In 1 Corinthians 3:15, we see: “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.” So we have a man whose works have been judged. His works are, in fact, burned; and he suffers loss; yet he is saved, but by fire. He suffers loss, but is saved by fire. WHAT DOES “SUFFER LOSS” MEAN IN THIS PASSAGE? The Greek word which is translated as “suffer loss” is zemiothesetai. It comes from the Greek word zemioo – which is translated as “suffer loss” in 1 Cor. 3:15 – are found in other passages in the Bible. The word is used to mean punishment. In Exodus 21:22, Proverbs 17:26, Proverbs 19:19 and elsewhere, this very Greek word zemioo is used to mean punishment. That means that zemiothesetai, the word translated as suffer loss in 1 Cor. 3:15, can mean punishment. So, the man who suffers loss and is saved by fire can mean a man who is punished and is saved by fire. Doesn’t that sound just like Purgatory? Yes, it sounds exactly like Purgatory because that’s what it’s referring to. But there is more from the context to demonstrate the point. Who is this man, and why is he suffering loss or punishment and being saved by fire? THE CONTEXT OF 1 COR. 3 CONCERNS CHRISTIANS AND CERTAIN SINS OR BAD WORKS The context of 1 Corinthians 3 deals with members of the Church of Christ; it deals with Corinthian Christian believers. 1 Corinthians 3:3 tells us that some of these Corinthian Christians were falling into sinful imperfections and offenses against God. Some of these bad works or sins are identified in 1 Corinthians 3:3 as strife, divisions and envying. 1 Corinthians 3:3- “… for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? So the context of 1 Corinthians 3 deals with the different kinds of works of believers; some of them are not so good. These different kinds of works (good and bad) are described in 1 Corinthians 3:12. 1 Corinthians 3:12-13- “Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.” There are good works, which are called: gold, silver and precious stones. These signify a better or more perfect adherence to the Gospel of Christ. Then there are other works, which are not so good. These bad works or sins included unnecessary quarrelling, strife, jealousy and division (as mentioned above). These are described as: wood, hay and stubble. These are the works that are burned in 1 Cor. 3:15, for which the man suffers loss or punishment; but he is saved, yet so as by fire. This context fits perfectly with the Catholic teaching on Purgatory. The Catholic Council of Lyons II defined Purgatory this way: Pope Gregory X, Council of Lyons II, 1274: “Because if they die truly repentant in charity before they have made satisfaction by worthy fruits of penance for sins committed and omitted, their souls are cleansed after death for purgatorial or purifying punishments….” (Denzinger 464) Purgatory is not for those who have died in the state of serious (i.e, mortal) sin. All such persons go to Hell, as is made clear in Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Cor. 6:9, and Ephesians 5:5-8. Purgatory is for those of the true faith who have been forgiven for their sins, but have yet to make full satisfaction for the sins they have committed Therefore, in 1 Corinthians 3:12, the wood, hay and stubble (which are burned) signify the works of a man who has died in the state of justification and has been forgiven of any mortal sins he might have committed. He is therefore eventually saved, but he hasn’t made satisfaction for sins committed after baptism. ANOTHER INDIRECT PROOF FOR PURGATORY: MATTHEW 5:25 Other indirect proofs for Purgatory are found in other parts of the New Testament, but I will pick just one for now. The following parable of Jesus is an example. Matthew 5:25-26- “Agree with thy adversary quickly, while thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.” We see that Jesus tells the parable of the man who, for his faults, is cast into prison until he pays up or satisfies for his debt. That’s exactly like Purgatory. |
