There are 3 types of actions that can make you poor, average or rich. For you to become successful, you must do what other people are not doing, you must learn to take massive actions that people may see it as unimaginable.
No one becomes successful by living a carefree life. You must plan and take actions more than others in order to become successful.

1. Doing Nothing
When you do nothing to change your life, people often think it is not an action. When you refuse to read in order to become enlightened, you are taking an action. When you fail to plan your life and expect good things to just happen to you, it is a form of action. No one sows where he did not reap.

2. Doing what everyone is doing
Another form of action is doing what everyone is doing and expecting or hoping for your life to be better than theirs: are you the first born of God? For you to become better, get out there and do what others fail to do. Be better and even be the best. Nothing changes without doing more. If you are currently doing what your parents did by going to school, getting a Job and retiring and you think you will be better than them you are only joking.

3. Taking Massive Actions

With recession and inflation in the country, there is need for everyone to learn how to save money for the family or even for personal needs. These are the ways you can save money at home.

Write out the necessary food stuffs you need
When saving money, Food is a necessity but even when writing down the food stuff you need, there are also necessary food items and there are some that are not necessary. Among the food items needed each month include:
1. Source of cooking fuel: this could be gas, electricity, kerosene or even fire wood. Whatever your source of cooking is, you need to keep money for cooking.
2. You need a source of Protein: you do not need just every food because some are not healthy and you need to stay healthy. Hence you need a cheap and good source of Protein such as Plant proteins (beans or nuts) and animal protein (egg, meat or fish). If you are a vegetarian, the plant protein is Ok but if you are not, animal protein still remains the best because it contains all essential types of amino acids which may not be complete in proteins. Get a cheap source of protein for your food.
3. Grow your own vegetables: If you have a good space around your home where you can start a small garden, then it is best you do so. Maintaining the garden is pretty easy and it is fun at the same time. You can grow your own vegetables such as spinach, pumpkin, tomatoes, pepper, and onions. Whatever type of vegetable you use often, you can grow it instead of buying them always. This will help you to save money that would have been used for buying vegetable.
4. Save energy or fuel: depending on where you are, in countries such as Nigeria where some houses pay their electrical bills based on flat rates (paying the same amount of money every month and not using electric meters); in such countries, get an electric stove that you will use to cook instead of cooking with gas always. This will help you save money especially when your community has stable electricity.

Buy food items in bulk
No matter how small your income may be, you need to learn how to save money on food by buying in bulk. When you buy things in bulk, the prices are cheaper than buying in small parts. A crate of egg may cost 750 naira but when you buy in parts, it may be 850 naira by the time you buy 30 pieces on different occasions.

Do not eat Outside
It is cheaper and helps to save money on food when you cook your own food at home than eating from restaurants. The money you will spend in a restaurant for a plate of food can cook food for you at home to eat three plates.

Nigeria’s unity is settled and not negotiable. We shall not allow irresponsible elements to start trouble and when things get bad they run away and saddle others with the responsibility of bringing back order, if necessary with their blood.
Every Nigerian has the right to live and pursue his business anywhere in Nigeria without let or hindrance.
I believe the very vast majority of Nigerians share this view.
This is not to deny that there are legitimate concerns. Every group has a grievance. But the beauty and attraction of a federation is that it allows different groups to air their grievances and work out a mode of co-existence.
The National Assembly and the National Council of State are the legitimate and appropriate bodies for national discourse.
The national consensus is that, it is better to live together than to live apart.
Furthermore, I am charging the Security Agencies not to let the successes achieved in the last 18 months be a sign to relax.
Terrorists and criminals must be fought and destroyed relentlessly so that the majority of us can live in peace and safety.
Therefore we are going to reinforce and reinvigorate the fight not only against;
• elements of Boko Haram which are attempting a new series of attacks on soft targets
• kidnappings, farmers versus herdsmen clashes,
• in addition to ethnic violence fuelled by political mischief makers. We shall tackle them all.
Finally, dear Nigerians, our collective interest now is to eschew petty differences and come together to face common challenges of;
• economic security,
• political evolution and integration
• as well as lasting peace among all Nigerians.
I remain resolutely committed to ensuring that these goals are achieved and maintained.
I am so glad to be home.

GOVERNOR WIKE URGES ARMY TO SUPPORT POLICE IN THE FIGHT AGAINST KIDNAPPING

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called on the Nigeria Army to support the Police in tackling the rising wave of Kidnapping in the country.

He also urged the Army to work with the police to fight cultism in the state.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Minister of Defence, Mansur Mohammed Dan-Ali on Thursday at the Government House Port Harcourt, Governor Wike said that the support will help in promoting security across the country.

He assured the Security agencies that his administration will continue to provide logistics and financial support for them to discharge their responsibilities.

The governor said: "I want to urge the Nigerian Army to support the police tackle kidnapping and enhance security.

"It is also necessary that you assist the police to weed out cultists as they are beginning to rear their ugly heads and trouble peace loving residents of the state".

He said that Rivers State has not witnessed any major vandalism of oil pipelines because of the security programmes being executed by the State Government.

The governor maintained that the State Government will improve areas of partnership with the Nigerian Army for better security in the state.

Earlier in his remarks, the Minister of Defence, Mansur Mohammed Dan-Ali commended Governor Wike for his support to the security agencies.

He assured that the Buhari administration will continue to invest in the improvement of security across the country.

The Minister of Defence noted that the investments in security have led to the reduction of crime in the Niger Delta.

The Minister of Defence was accompanied bt the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai, the General Officer Commanding 6 Division, Major General Okon Udoh and senior Army Officers.
