Please guys, i need your help. I traded my Note 3 with new S5 from one of these guys that returned for xmas from yankee. I didn't pay attention to details as this problem i am facing is clearly written on the pack. The guy told me its factory unlocked and a believed him only to find out that its not really... (As it is clearly written on the pack "AMERICAN SIM CARD ONLY") further findings reveal that "to use sim cards from other region, a cumulative call over five minutes must first be made with the sim card from AMERICAN operators. if a sim card issued from another region is used for activation, the phone may not work. in this case, the device will need to be released at the nearest samsung service provider) I am really confused on what to do as the guy has gone back to the states (he is suggesting i send it to him for activation but the cost and time... im without phone at the moment)

Please, my fellow guys... do anyone have a work-around to this problem. im thinking there might have been this kind of problem in the past. please, phone gurus, i need your help.

BluePearls: Backup your files (your phone will be wiped during installation), make sure phone is more than 50% charged, make sure you have LINK installed (for drivers) but close it, extract the OS you download with 7zip preferably, plug your phone to pc, run the autoloader.exe, and let the installation complete, finish your settings, let the phone settle down for 1hr or 2hrs before installing apps.

Thank you all for your kind response. To answer some of you guys question. I bought the S5 for 90k from a dealer I trust until yday. He made me believe the discount was because the phone was not sealed but it is a brand new device. After posting this, I couldn't risk it cus 90k is involved here. I called the dealer right away and accused him from the on set he sold a fake S5 to me ...he didn't really argue as (I don't know if it's true) he said he doesn't honestly know the difference of which I said I'm returning it right away! He directed me to his house and returned it as at 10pm yday. I'm yet to get a refund as he is pleading I give him time to replace it or get me my initial choice (note 3).

Below, is the screenshot I tool of the phone prior to returning it. But from my further research the S5 might be an original S5 (CDMA version) perhaps the rooting app is for sim eligibility, I don't really know. But if I'm spending 90k on a phone, it must be perfect.

Please folks using Samsung Galaxy S5 I need your guys help. I just bought a new S5 now but I wasn't sure it's the original one! I have noticed few things but I wanted to confirm from S5 users before I return mine to the dealer.

Please guys help me check if your S5 has the following things.

1. Does your IMEI start with 99

2. Does it have supersu factory installed.

3. It's your S5 written made in China if you open the back cover (I personally know that Korea doesn't do trade with the China so I wonder why it's written made in china)

4. It's your S5 model number written SM-G900P?? (I was surprise this model wasn't written in GSMARENA models of the phone)

Please, I need your help to verify these facts before I confront the dealer. Apart from all these, the phone looks exactly like S5 but there is no way you can tell a clone from the appearance.

Is there a way you can reset z10 holding power button and volume button like in android phones? A friends z10 won't come on! If you press the on button it comes on and says www.bberror.com/bb10-0015 with an acclamation mark! Without booting.

I still wonder why people will open their mouth and say G2 na rubbish phone. the phone clearly beats the s4 version of Samsung and with 32Gb and 64gb version I still wonder how on earth someone would say thats not sufficient memory.
I will pick the G2 any time over s4! just like someone rightly said lg is poor in marketing and their history but they have stepped up big time with G2. and unless you stay in the forest I wonder why 3000mah of juice cannot serve you a day comfortably till you can get home to charge!

I don't think so. I have virtually moved around different places including states and its still thesame thing. I dialed *123*123# and found out that my remaining 4GB is on A10 .. I don't what that means.

I don't know if I resubscribe to 2Gb #1500 package now, will airtel roll over my remaining 4Gb to the new plan.

I don't know if someone else is experiencing this but my airtel bis on android is extremely slow at the moment compared to its previous speed. I did the 2 + 1 package and they gave me 6gig. I opted out of the plan as i normally do but it has been nightmare recently as i can't even open "m.goal.com" in seconds. Please house, any solution to this? I think something is wrong somewhere.
