lightblazingnow:Please what is the value of the phone in dollars? and what is its value in the Chinese currency? Then I will know if what you wrote up there is noteworthy. I say this because I believe different currency relate with each other base on their strength or weakness against the dollar. For me one dollar is not equal to one yuan upon which you hinge your argument. |

I want a programmer who can write a code or script to be incorporated into my website that can enable users of the website to upload photographs like jpg, JPEG etc and or pdf file to the website for conversion in to a flipping book. The resultant flipping book should be responsive, and should have full screen option, single or double flip option, auto play option and Facebook and Twitter share capabilities showing the preview page when shared instead of links. Also, as preparation for upload of pictures , users should be able to write on the pictures, especially the first image or picture to be used as cover page for the flipping book. It should work well on mobile. Flipping book should be able to load very fast and free flowing without crashing. It should be able to adapt for mobile app in the future. |
The 12 Laws of karma that can change your life Karma is the law of cause and effect – an unbreakable law of the cosmos. Your actions create your future. The reason your fate is never sealed is because you have free will. Therefore your future cannot already be written. That would not be fair. Life gives you chances. This is one of them. Karma is a somewhat abstract concept to many of us. There is a lot of confusing information on this non-religious topic – information which is unnecessary. So, we think it’d be helpful to paint a bit of a picture to help solidify the concept of karma. To do so, just a quick example is necessary. Say that we are all willing to go around and help people in any way we see fit – putting coins in expired parking meters, holding doors open for everyone, giving a couple naira to a homeless person, buying someone’s coffee or tea, etc., etc. Now two questions: What is the possibility that the person we’ve helped will reciprocate, or “pay it forward”? What’s the possibility that this action created a positive source of energy? That’s a very basic example of everyday karma. Of course, there is negative karma as well. Gandhi explains such in a simple yet profound way: “A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes.” NOW THAT WE’VE ESTABLISHED A BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF KARMA, LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT 12 OF KARMA’S LAWS THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE. 1. The Great Law: “As you sow, so shall you reap.” The simple explanation of the Great Law is: our thought and actions have consequences – good or bad. If we desire peace, love, harmony, prosperity, etc. we must be willing to act accordingly. This is also known as the “Law of Cause and Effect.” Also, energy (thought, action) that we put into the world has a consequence, immediate or not. 2. The Law of Creation: “What we desire comes through participation.” The life we see around us was created by a person’s intentions. As we are one with the Universe, our intentions determine the evolution of creation. Since what we surround ourselves with becomes part of us, it’s our responsibility to ensure these surroundings are conducive to our desires. 3. The Law of Humility: “Refusal to accept what is will still be what is.” Acceptance is a near-universal virtue in many belief systems. Simply put, we must first accept the present circumstances in order to change them. In focusing on the negative instead of making changes to address the negative, we’re committing to a zero-sum result. 4. The Law of Growth: “Our own growth is above any circumstance.” The only thing we have control over is ourselves. The subsequent action (or inaction) of motive will yield either positive or negative circumstances in our lives. True change only occurs if we make the commitment to change what is in our heart. 5. The Law of Responsibility: “Our lives are of our own doing, nothing else.” When there is turbulence in one’s own life, there is often turbulence internally. If we’re to change our life, we must change our frame of mind and surroundings. 6. The Law of Connection: “Everything in the Universe is connected, both large and small.” Our past, present and future are all connected. As such, we must put in the work to change these connections if we desire something different. No step – first, intermediate or last – is more important in the accomplishment of a task. All are required. 7. The Law of Focus: “One cannot direct attention beyond a single task.” Relating to our spiritual growth, we cannot have negative thoughts or actions and expect to grow spiritually. We must direct full attention to achieve any desired task. 8. The Law of Hospitality and Giving: “Demonstrating our selflessness shows true intentions.” Put simply: what we claim to believe must manifest into our actions. Selflessness is a virtue only if we’re accommodating something other than ourselves. Without a selfless nature, true spiritual growth is nearly impossible. 9. The Law of Change: “History repeats itself unless changed.” Conscious commitment to change is the only method of influencing the past. History will continue along an unconstructive path until positive energies direct it elsewhere. 10. The Law of Here and Now: “The Present is all we have.” Looking back regretfully and forward pointlessly robs oneself of a present opportunity. Old thoughts and patterns of behavior negate the present chance to advance ourselves. 11. The Law of Patience and Reward: “Nothing of value is created without a patient mindset.” Toiling away cannot be circumvented through wishful thinking. Our rewards are claimed only through patience and persistence, nothing else. Rewards are not the end-result. True, lasting joy comes from the knowledge of doing what’s necessary in the rightful anticipation of a reward that is well-earned. 12. The Law of Significance and Inspiration: “The best reward is one that contributes to the Whole.” The end result is of little value if it leaves little or nothing behind. http://pub9.net/welcome/viewmedia/31/The_Twelve_Laws_of_karma_That_Can_Change_Your_Life |

I am someone with a very tight schedule. I only get to see my son who is 5 years very early in the morning and very late at night most times three times in a week. I do buy him snacks as compensation for the time I don't have for him. Today is one of the lucky day he will see me in the morning. I prepared him breakfast and encouraged him to eat as his mother was still sleeping. As usual he asked what I would buy for him and I replied meat pie. To my surprise he said no. So threw the question back to him. He said I should buy him a story book. For me as a person I don't read like that. And I am deeply inspired by what he told me he wanted. Please I need advice on the type of story books I can buy for him. I wouldn't c mind a series. Thank you |

There is much awareness that water melon improve libido for both men and women. Watermelon though 92% water has the remaining 8% containing phytonutrient citrulline which converts to arginine an amino acid which relaxes the blood vessels. More so watermelon helps to improve blood flow to erectile tissue like the clitoral area in women and the penis in men, thus increasing arousal. While the consumption of watermelon in plenty may be seen as beneficial to man, it may not be so for women who are trying to conceive. Watermelon, like tomatoes, contains the antioxidant lycopene, which is in the same family as carotene and therefore has the same beneficial antioxidant effects. On the one hand, that's great since carotene, found in many brightly coloured foods, has been shown to lower the risk of cancer and heart disease. But it is also anti-estrogenic, so a very high volume may block estrogen and prevent the lining of the uterus from growing and the fertilized egg from implanting. A daily consumption 30.0 milligrams lycopene from all sources like watermelon and tomatoes is just right. Consequently, it should be advised that you don't because you have read that watermelon helps to enhance libido begin to consume watermelon above recommended requirements for those who want to conceive. http://pub9.net/welcome/viewmedia/29/What_watermelon_will_do_to_women_trying_to_conceive |
I cannot substantiate what I am about to say with documented evidence, but I know it will be happening in majority of the food processing companies. This is not to say the pharmaceutical industries are left out. The rising cost of raw materials in Nigeria is enough to suffocate many of these companies to death. I strongly believe that part of the coping mechanism for company survival is to adopt alternatives to the preferred raw materials. I can observe that the cost of raw materials have tripled , yet cost finished products did not double except for products that cannot be manipulated or have alternatives. I will simply advice people to go organic for now. I refuse to agree that processed foods from our food industries are wholesomely safe for consumption without future consequences. For sake of patriotism I will say buy your processed foods wisely. lt is not enough to follow the food label, just eat that food with a little expectations of what you see on the food label. |
MANAGING OXIDATIVE STRESS Oxidative stress has been largely described as an imbalance between the production of FREE RADICALS and the ability of the body to counteract or detoxify their harmful effects. A closer look at this definition clearly tell that it is about how the body manages free radicals. It is also important to know that these free radicals are a normal occurrence in the life of every human being. Free radicals are oxygen containing molecules (chemical) with odd electron making it highly reactive with other molecules (chemical) within the body. They react or take electrons from other molecules (chemicals) in the cell to achieve stability and in the process making the molecules(chemicals) they took electrons from to be unstable. These unstable molecules (chemicals) in turn will seek to reach with molecules(chemicals) from where they can also get electron from to become stable. This process continues and in a short time the whole system is loaded with free radicals. These free radicals are short lived molecules, with an average life span of one - millionth of a second, are very potent toxins that afflict our bodies. The importance of this to health is that when we are young the human body is naturally equipped with an antioxidant defense system that functions very well in scavenging and mopping up free radicals before they can cause damage. However, as we age, the anti oxidants defense system becomes less effective in free radicals clearance. , hence, we have a positive balance of free radicals that can do great damage. The free radicals creates burns in the cellular membrane that weakens tissues and organs in our bodies. If the damage continues unchecked, the body becomes "rusty" and less able to defend itself against problems such as cancer, hardening of the arteries (which can cause heart related problems) , premature ageing and other health issues like arthritis and cancer. What is the source of free radicals? Sources of Free radicals abound around us. This includes : Normal daily stress Normal everyday drugs used for medication Toxins from cigarettes, candles, hair and nail salon, carpet, exhaust fumes, and plastics Sugar and processed foods Fried food Excessive exercise Over exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight and exposure to x-ray radiation During normal metabolism of fat, carbohydrates and proteins During energy production process in the cell What are the signs that you are experiencing oxidative stress? You experience fatigue Muscles and joint pain Wrinkles and Grey hair Decreased eye sight Headaches and sensitivity to noise Susceptibility to infection How to prevent oxidative stress To prevent oxidative stress is to avoid exposure to the sources of free radicals. But on a more serious note, No matter what you do to avoid them, you are going to be exposed to some toxins and stress willy-nilly. Therefore, for best outcome in trying to manage oxidative stress apart from trying to avoid the various sources of free radicals as I have enunciated in this write up, you will have to increase the level of anti-oxidants you have in your system or body. This you can do either by helping your body to make more or by consuming them in food and supplements. 1. Food like spinach, walnut, garlic, onions, and tomatoes are needed to make glutathione in the body and it is a powerful antioxidants. 2. The following are herbal sources for antioxidants : Resveratrol, green tea, Quercetin Curcumin. 3. To consume antioxidants as supplements, you may consult a certified Nutritionist for advice and recommendations. http://pub9.net/welcome/viewmedia/24/Managing_Oxidative_stress |
