Religion / Need For Revival In The Church. A Must Read By Bro. Gbile Akanni by asco15(m): 11:42pm On Oct 04, 2016
WE NEED A REVIVAL!!!! At a time when the church has become a ground for entertainment, we need revival.
At a time when a music minister competes and compares himself with secular musician, we need a revival.
At a time when the altar of God is used for comedy, we need a revival.
At a time when a successful minister of the Gospel is measured by how rich he is and not how much impact he is making, we need a revival.
At a time, when passion for souls have been replaced with fashion parade in the church, we need a revival.
At a time when motivational speaking has replaced biblical preaching, we need a revival.
At a time when you really cannot differentiate between a daughter of Zion and an harlot, we need a revival.
At a time when pastors kill each other for post and higher position, we need a revival.
At a time when modern preachers now tell us that Jesus is not coming soon, we need a revival.
At a time when packaging and special effect has replaced the beauty of God's glory, we need a revival.
At a time when sexual sin is referred to as weakness and the grace of God is taken for granted, we need a revival.
At a time when prophets prophesies by divination and profits from false prophecy, we need a revival.
At a time when the church does not know the difference between witchcraft spirit and the Holy Spirit, we need a revival.
At a time when filling the seats in our place of worship has become a priority than raising disciples of Jesus, we need revival.
At a time when sinners feel comfortable in our churches and saints feel no sense of urgency to preach the good news to the lost, we need revival.
At a time when pastors are more concerned about how much money members give than how much the members truly love the Lord, we need revival.
At a time when the word of God is scarce and the fire on the altar is going out, and the priests have become blind, the watchmen sleeping, and holiness is no longer our standard, we need a revival.
We need a revival not a programme. We need a reawakening of our souls and a new awareness of the power of God. We do not need another jamboree but true repentance coupled with a changed life. We do not need another noise, we need a shaking and a mighty rushing wind. We do not need another movement, we need a reformation. We need the Lord to come again and restore us unto himself. We need the Lord to open our eyes again that we may see Him. We want to see His Holiness again that we may see our depravity. We need a genuine outpouring of the Holy Spirit, WE ARE TIRED OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES AND NOT LIVING CHRIST-LIKE. There is no other desire that we have than to hear again the same voice that spoke in the valley of dry bones to BRING US BACK TO LIFE. Our nations are in darkness, yet we are the light. We cannot pretend anymore, Jesus come again in your power and reawaken us. WE NEED A REVIVAL!!!

Foreign Affairs / See President Obama Working In A Restaurant With His Daughter. Humility Indeed by asco15(m): 8:24pm On Aug 22, 2016
Obama's youngest daughter decided to work in a restaurant not far from the White House in order to get busy and earn a few cash during the summer holiday. Recently, Obama visited his younger daughter, Sasha Obama, at the restaurant to support her in doing some of her duties. Isn't that nice? What impact are you passing to your children? What is your responsibility as a parent? A great leader should not be afraid to lend a helping hand. As a young adult, do not be afraid to acquire whatever skills you need to improve yourself. Don't be lazy and get busy!

Well when it comes to safety. The stuff is really safe.
Scientifically speaking it is even safer than using gas to cook. When cooking, you are using naked flame to cook while running a generator does not give out any visible flame.
The precaution to take is that you should not place the cylinder directly opposite the exhaust.
Besides, you can place the cylinder as far as possible from the generator.

Religion / White House Referred To Christmas Tree As Holiday Tree For The First Time by asco15(m): 2:09pm On Nov 29, 2015
Apparently the White House referred to Christmas Trees as Holiday Trees for the first time this year, which prompted Ben Stein, to say, on CBS Sunday Morning, My confession: I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejewelled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees. It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a nativity scene, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away. I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat. Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to. In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking. Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?' In light of recent events... terrorist attacks, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK. Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self- esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said okay. Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.' Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e- mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace. Are you laughing yet? Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us. Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not, then just discard it.... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what a bad shape the world is in. My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully, -Ben Stein

Business / How N25bn Is Embezzled Daily Via Buhari’s TSA – Melaye by asco15(m): 4:37pm On Nov 11, 2015
must first submit that TSA as a policy is excellent and it was initiated by Ngozi Okonjo. CBN had signed an agreement with Remita in the last quarter of 2014 to serve as a payment gateway for all transactions by the MDAs under the TSA regime. The agreement legally empowered them to deduct 1% of the total value to be transfered tax exclusive. And take another N105 per transaction as security charge. This made Remita to become multi billionaires overnight. And there lies the fraud The question is There are proven and tested payment gateways like interswitch, SimplePay and Etransact, why the choice of Remita to enjoy monopoly of this billion? Why charging a percentage (1%) instead of the usual N180 per transaction fee charged for large volume transaction by known and proven gateways? What extra service and efficiency are they bringing to the table that other gateways don't have? Moreover, Remita seems unprepared for this business and since August, a number MDAs don't have access to their funds. Who pays for this deficit created by the unfriendly agreement between Remita and CBN? I strongly smell corruption looping around CBN/Remita connection. Please read the submission of Senator Melaye. Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye on Tuesday, raised an alarm over a massive corruption operation going on in the management of the Treasury Single Account, TSA. Melaye who made this known in the floor of the House said “financial scavengers and economic cankerworms” were trying to sabotage the anti-corruption war President Muhammadu Buhari was believed to be prosecuting by mismanaging the TSA. He further alleged that a firm, “Remitter,” hired to manage the TSA, was making N25bn in one day in mopping up about N2.5trn on the loose. Melaye further asked the Senate to give him an opportunity to present a motion on the matter on Wednesday, November 11. Senate President, Bukola Saraki subjected his request to a voice vote and the “ayes” had it. Buhari had in August ordered the full implementation of the TSA with all Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs,directed to cue in and Initial compliance gave the federal government access to N1.5trn. www.post-nigeria.com/how-n25bn-is-embezzled-daily-via-buharis-tsa-melaye/

Did the Lord revealed her to you that she will be your wife? or you just woo her because you liked her.
People can change and that is why we must seek God before going into marriage. Besides is your pastor, both parents aware of your relationship? Nevertheless, courtship is not supposed to be more than two years.
Do you have feelings for your partner?
Does he or she touch or caress you?
If yes. then you are lusting and that's a sin.
Eph.4:27 neither give place to the devil.
So, it's not too late, quit and wait on the Lord.

marriage is a serious stuff and not what one can just enter anyhow.
as a child of God, u can't marry someone without the consent of God, but we all know that those who are into boyfriend and girlfriend relationship goes into it carnally (I.e without asking God) and how do you want to marry a person without seeking God. remember that your gf or bf could be an agent sent to led you to hell. so I don't see any excuse why you should go into any worldly relationship with the hope of getting married to that person.
So, for those Keeping bf, gf better quit and wait for your God given fiancée to start a healthy xtian courtship that your parent, pastor and all will be aware of.
Religion / Re: HELP: Is Having A Boyfriend Or Girlfriend A Sin? by asco15(m): 11:03pm On Jul 19, 2015
for me, boyfriend and girlfriend thing is not scriptural and it's an occasion of sin. the person I was chatting with also agreed that it always led to lust and even fornication.
As a born again Christian, you can only go into a Christian courtship when you are settled and ready for marriage. besides you don't just meet a girl and begin to say you love her, rather you ask God for direction. saint Paul encouraged us to either be single or married. Joseph and Mary were not doing boyfriend and girlfriend thing, they were engaged.

Hello NL, I was chatting with a girl, and she told me that for her age, having a boyfriend is not a sin even though she is only a student and she is not ready for marriage. She said that one has to practice before getting married.
well, I think many Christian youths are also confused on this issue.
but as a genuine born again Christian, is it right to have a boyfriend or girlfriend as a youth?
only believers should reply and if possible back it up with Bible references.
thanks.
