As expected, they have started fighting amongst themselves even before the race begins. Obidients thrive on threats, nothing else. Who is Obi that the coalition must yield to? If he wants the ticket, he should man up and contest for it like everyone else who is interested. It won't be offered on a plate for him as it was done in Labour Party. |

Omenlon: without being told, you know if Lagos want to go into aviation they will dwaf every other states in the business. But Lagos doesn't chase clout, they go for what will benefit all, like the ferry , rail and BRT system. Maybe you don't know Lagos State is the only state that doesn't have a state owned football club, male or female. Lagos doesn't engage in jamborees, but focused in what is needful for the teeming populace. Well said. How I go take get 40 words when I have just two to say? |

Bsssss: You are living in your head. Try and read the room to draw the inference. The Northern elements have unfettered opportunity to rule the country between 2031 to 2039 if they support the gentleman agree of 4yrs term of Peter Obi. Why truncate it with Atiku's ambition? If they and what happens when they don't? Shey coalition has been formed, let's see how it plays out. You think Obi got votes because he was loved, dude played religion and got majority of Christian vote. that's what gave him the 6 million votes, and propaganda that Tinubu was sick and too old to rule, those tricks are gone now. Have you heard anyone use those lines again. I am going to quote you after the convention, when Atiku picks the ticket. |
Politics › Re: Obi And El Rufai Seen Holding Hands by asfrank(m): 12:39am On Jul 03, 2025 |
Bsssss: Your opinion is based on permutation not fact. Go and figure what BODE GEORGE said about Zoning recently And who is bode Gorge in the coalition? PDP did the same thing in 2023 and the beneficiary of that arrangement is heading the current opposition. So what fact are you talking about again. You think Atiku is wasting his energy, and time just to handover the ticket to a southerner? Dude literally formed the coalition single handedly. Age is not on his side, by 2031 he would be 86 years, for someone who has been contesting for president since 1993, it becomes a routine. He's going to pick Ameachi, not even Obi as his running mate. |
Politics › Re: Obi And El Rufai Seen Holding Hands by asfrank(m): 12:00am On Jul 03, 2025 |
Bsssss: My own is that Peter Obi should start building strong strategic alliance Northern ADC delegates against 2027 primaries NOW! It's very much obvious that the ticket is going to be zoned to South.... which will be contested between AMAECHI and OBI. You clearly don't know anything, there's a reason they chose David Mark from the North Central as chairman. Meaning the ticket is open to the core North. Atiku would let Nigeria burn if only he can be president of the ashes, so does everyone in this coalition. |

kunle4toyeyaho: How is he divisive? GEJ appointed To to Douglas from Bayelsa as his aide, Andrew azazi from Bayelsa as NSA,Ekpeyong from Cross River as DG DSS,Kenneth Minimah from Rivers State as Chief of Army staff ,were there no qualified people from other zones? A president needs trusted hands to occupy certain positions. When he assumed office, Tinubu discovered Igbos had no representation at supreme court,it was Tinubu that elevated 3 Igbo men to supreme out of 11 appointed. If this is not fairness, what is it? Southeast never had a service chief after Ihejirika left office,it was president Tinubu that ensured an Igbo man became chief of naval staff. Is this divisive also? Regional development commissions became a reality under this government. In what way is this action divisive. I challenge you to prove with empirical data how Tinubu has been divisive? Allow those pained people, they can never be satisfied, give them the presidency they will still ask to be governors of all 36 states, Senate president and speaker or Reps. I have never for once seen a group of people blinded by hate my entire life. |

You think it's as simple as opening and closing a gate? This isn't a Canal. Closing the strait is a declaration of War, not just with the US, but other countries in the Gulf.
Iran always issue threats about closing the strait, not for once have they actually done it. It wouldn't be different this time around. The most they can do is target specific ships from specific countries. To deter this, the US will send it's Naval fleets to the Persian Gulf. |

Why is Israel allowed nuclear weapons and Iran not?
And generally, why are nuclear weapons needed in the first place? As Iran why it bombed Iraq nuclear facility back in the 1970s. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Why Does The World Allow Israel Maintain A Secret Nuclear Program? by asfrank(m): 5:58am On Jun 19, 2025 |
ChristCee: Israel is not a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) because it faces unique and persistent existential threats in a region where some of its neighbors have openly called for its destruction. By staying outside the treaty, Israel maintains a policy of "nuclear ambiguity" — neither confirming nor denying its nuclear capabilities — as a strategic deterrent. This policy has helped prevent an arms race while ensuring Israel’s survival in a hostile environment. Unlike states that signed the NPT and later violated it (like Iran), Israel’s cautious stance is rooted in self-defense, not aggression or proliferation. I haven't read a better response on this forum for a while now. This response should be enough for even Ayatollah and his Generals. Anyone not satisfied would be probably worse |
