Aha, I do deeply apologise to my Nairaland sisters, and queen2 in particular. I didn't exclude you on purpose. In fact, I modified my post three times to use the all-inclusive term "g.u.y.s" and it changes to boys every time I save. embarassed Or, I must have boys on the brain today. Either way, won't happen again, promise! smiley
RomanceRe: Breakup Excuses Decoded by ashric(f): 8:43pm On Mar 01, 2006
I have to admit that I have used ALL of those break-up lines. And once, I used them all in the same conversation. Bad, I know but I've learned from my mistakes. Its better to break off with a person by giving a good reason that way the other person has a choice. They can make the necessary changes to themselves and hope that it works better next time, or they can find someone who will love them for who they are.

"Its not you, its me" means the opposite and usually means that they have already found someone else. A guy I know told a girl her didn't have time for the relationship because he joined the military (not true but it worked), and another was so put off by a girl he said he was unsure of his sexuality. Any other creative lines out there?
RomanceRe: Many People Do Not Understand The Word Love by ashric(f): 8:22pm On Mar 01, 2006
Love is an incredibly powerful word not to be used frivolously, I do agree, because there is a difference between loving someone, and being in love. There are some people who, because they might be starved for affection, cannot identify between the two. So, to avoid awkward situations, only use the word love where love really exists.

That's me - Miss Cheesy! You guys have been so welcoming and friendly, how can one NOT feel a bit cheesy? "You like me, you really like me!" (Haha ! I've always wanted to use that quote.) So, with that said, here's another cheesy See ya in da house!
ComputersRe: Yahoo Mail, Gmail Or Hotmail? by ashric(f): 1:04am On Feb 28, 2006
Gmail is the best for the storage capacity and other features that it incorporates. But, I hate the amount of pop-up windows it creates which even bypass the pop-up blocker. angry (Now I use Mozilla Firefox to eliminate that.) I also have about 300 invites if anyone is still interested. Send me an email if you are!

When I was 16 I had my tongue pierced. I finally grew disgusted of it and took it out - the hole closed in about half hour. (I tried to put the barbell back in but it would only go about halfway in so I just left it alone.) Other than that, I have 3 earrings on each ear, and four tattoos. The eyebrow and lip ones are cute on some but not for me.

Hello All,

I've been lurking for quite some time and have to stop in to say hi and formally introduce myself. First off, I am not Nigerian (not that I know of anyway) but I have had the good fortune and blessing of having a Nigerian (Yoruba) man grace my life. If I thought my life was colorful before, it is now VIVID. To say that you guys have helped me identify and communicate with him is an understatement. We are physically separated for the time being - America/Nigeria, and he wonders where I am learning from. When we met, the only thing I knew about Nigeria was not good (scams etc) but his pride in his homeland is contagious. The lot of you is proof positive!

I'm looking to participating in all the discussions here. You guys are a riot! Be blessed !!

Hello to Everyone,

I am living abroad and away from my boy friend. I would like to add credit to his Vmobile account as a surprise to him - he is frequently running out because of me. The problem is that I cannot find a way to do it! I have tried prepaidnigeria.com but the site is useless as is the vmobile website. Can anybody suggest what I can do?

Thanks in advance.
