THE GREED OF A FEMALE MINISTER She is a female. She is a mother. Her name is Diezani Alison Madueke, the current Minister of Petroleum Resources and a mother of three children. Checking her profile reveals that God has been kind to her all her life. Diezani never lacked any good thing: born into a royal family, went to one of the best schools in the world, Howard and Cambridge; worked in one of the best companies in Nigeria, Shell Petroleum; married to one of the top personalities in Nigeria; and blessed with three children And the country, Nigeria, too gave Diezani the best she could ever give her citizens. Diezani Alison-Madueke has held three significant positions in the Nigerian federal government. She was appointed Transport Minister in 2007. In 2008, she was named as Minister of Mines and Steel Development. And after Vice President Goodluck Jonathan became acting President in February 2010, with Diezani was named as Minister for Petroleum Resources. This is the post she has held till this moment. And the World was not left out in being kind to Diezani: in 2014, she was elected the first female President to OPEC; In De2014, she was elected President, Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF); she is currently also Chairman Committee of Ministers of the West African Gas Pipeline Authority (WAGPA). But with all these benevolence from God, country and world, Diezani has been in the news for corruption tendencies of the highest order since 2008. Check the following: 1. In 2008 Alison-Madueke was subject to a Senate probe after it emerged that as Transport Minister she had paid N30.9 billion ($263m) to contractors between 26 and 31Dec2007. 2. Diezani Allison was alleged to have spent over N10 billions inappropriately on private jets maintenance whilst many Nigerians suffer. 3. In 2009, the Senate of Nigeria indicted Diezani Alison-Madueke and recommended prosecution for the alleged transfer of N1.2 billion into. the private account of a toll company without due process and in breach of concession agreement. 4. In April 2015, Diezani was alleged to have stole N1.329 trillion as subsidy payments over three years (2009 to 2011) 5. Under Diezani's supervision, the corrupt NNPC had been spending N700 million daily to subsidise kerosene without the product reaching consumers who pay as much as N150 per litre, instead of the NNPC’s N55 per litre. 6. In January 2015, $700million (rawcash) was allegedly found in her house, out of which $10million was stolen by her house aide. 7. In April 2015, Diezani was reported to have been responsible for the missing $20 billion dollars out of which $16 billion has been returned. So what could have made this woman, Diezani, who has had it all to still steal and engage in corruption practices at the expense of Nigeria? GREED! Yes greed, the intense and selfish desire for wealth and power. It could be forgiven when a man is associated with corruption. it could be forgiven when a man steal. But when a woman is at the centre of it all then, all is not well. And if the person is a mother? God have mercy! What will she tell her children? What will she tel her grand children? A woman is supposed to be a mother of hope and a beacon of integrity. Today, everything seems to be going wrong for Diezani. She has been going from pillar to post, lobbying to get a soft landing in the event she is probed by the incoming administration of General Buhari. Few weeks ago, she was reported to have been flown to London for medical checkup. And about 3 days ago, 6 countries were reported to have denied the Minister's asylum requests. If Diezani falls, it should not be blamed on God, if Diezani fizzles out, it should not be blamed on country. If Diezani goes to prison it should not be blamed on Gen. Buhari. Rather, it should be blamed on Diezani herself. Her selfish desire to want to steal, and steal, and steal. Yes it will be blamed on Diezani herself, the greedy woman minister. |

Buhari's Final Message To Nigerians Ahead Of March 28 Two days to the Presidential Election, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, shares his last message to Nigerians before the National Elections. Dear Compatriots, Time For Nigeria To Be Great Once Again. I want to take this last opportunity, before we go to the polls on Saturday March 28 and April 11 respectively, to thank everyone who has supported our campaigns. I am humbled and grateful to have had the opportunity to meet so many of myfellow Nigerians who have helped to carry the message of change across our great country. This is the fourth time that I would be standing for election as the President of Nigeria. All these years, I have been driven by a keen awareness of the potential greatness of our country and the desire to provide the true leadership that will unleash this huge potential. I believe that a stable and prosperous Nigeria is not only important to Nigerians. It is also important to Africa and the rest of the world. The evidence of this is the unprecedented attention that our country will receive this weekend. On Saturday, the whole world would wait with baited breath for the greatest black nationon earth to take charge of its destiny. We must therefore not miss the significance of this moment. We must not let ourselves and our country down.At no other time in our history is Nigeria in such an urgent need of strong and competent leadership. Sadly, at no other time is this leadership so sorely absent in our country. We live in a time of great opportunities and great peril. It is only a leader that understands these in equal measure that can find the rightful place for Nigeria among the great Nations of the world. I have travelled extensively around Nigeria in the last three months. In the course of my travels, I encountered directly, what I have always believed: that a Hausa man’s desire for security is not different from the Ijaw woman’s desire to feel secured in any part ofour country. An Igbo woman’s desire for her children to get quality education and find employment is not different from the Yoruba man’s dream for his children to become a useful member of our society. A wife’s desperate need for affordable and quality healthcare for her husband diagnosed with prostate cancer in Enugu is not different from a husband’s desire to save the life of his wife diagnosed with ovarian cancer in Lagos. Invariably, our fears are the same; our dreams arethe same; and our problems are the same. Regardless of the language we speak, or the way we understand and worship God, whataffects anyone of us, affects everyone of us.Our economy is celebrated as the largest in Africa, yet our country is home to the continent’s highest number of people living in extreme poverty. Our youth population is larger than the combined population of many of our neighbors, yet our failure to plan and create opportunities for them is turning them to a social time bomb rather than economic catalysts. A band of ragtag terrorist group has threatened our territorial integrity, killed thousandsof Nigerians, displaced our people and abducted our children. The almost 60, 000 Nigerians who havebecome refugees in neighboring countries represent a budding threat to sub-regional stability. However, even in the face of these daunting challenges, I see a great opportunity for change. We have tostart by rebuilding the trust and confidence of Nigerians in their government. No citizen will respecta government under whose watch more than 200 girls were abducted. This singular act can only portray the government as insensitive, incompetent or both. When I become president, reuniting these children with their families will, without doubts, be a top priority. Rebuilding the army and other security agencies will also bea top priority of my government. I will ensure that never again will terrorists find a safe haven in Nigeria. Thank you. |

APC alleges planned card readers sabotage on election day MARCH 16, 2015 The All Progressives Congress has said it has uncovered a plot by the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party to render card readers ineffective on election day. It says this move is to justify their (Jonathan and PDP) fears about the use of the card readers and ultimately to scuttle the polls. This allegation was contained in a statement in Lagos on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. APC said, ”We can authoritatively inform Nigerians that the morbid fear of card readers by the Jonathan Administration and the PDP has now been translated into concrete action. They have hired an Israeli, Gyora Berger, to do the dirty job of jamming the card readers. ”To those who might accuse us of crying wolf, they should realise that every alarm we have raised in the past has been true, including that the Jonathan administration was pushing for the postponement of the elections and that they are mortally afraid of the use of PVCs and card readers” The party added that the Israeli was hired specifically to develop three prototype card reader jammers, which he had accomplished, developing three of such jammers (25 metres, 50 metres and 100 metres range) to be carried in the pockets of trusted PDP stalwarts on election day with a view to disabling the card readers within the state radius. The party said apart from disabling the card readers, the jammers would also disable all telephones, iPads, etc within the states radius of those carrying them on their persons. It equally alleged that an order had been placed for 75,000 pieces of the jammers at a cost of $200 per piece, bringing the total cost to $15m. APC claimed the jammers would be air freighted to Nigeria next week. It added, ”The plan is to deploy the card jammers to the areas deemed to be the strongholds of the APC, such as the North-west, North-East, North-Central and the South-West. ”It is the planned procurement of the jammers that has given the confidence to the administration and party officials to continuously boast that Buhari will never rule Nigeria, and also the reason why a chief of the PDP boasted last week that the card readers won’t work, thus advising INEC to make alternative arrangements.” The party said the Israeli, who had agreed to do the dirty job for “a desperate Jonathan administration and the PDP, is an enemy of Nigeria and Nigerians, who does not mind if the nation burns, as long as he has collected his pay for the dirty job for which he has been hired.” www.punchng.com/news/apc-alleges-planned-card-readers-sabotage-on-election-day/ |

From Joe Igbokwe. "To make matters worse, President Jonathan played up ethnic and religious cards to the letter. He showed bias to Muslims by allowing some greedy pastors to deceive him that the whole North hates him because he is a Christian. He has been visiting Jerusalem and churches without caring to visit mosques. He sees the North as another political enclave and this is the reason why he did not fight Boko Haram with every sense of seriousness it deserved. He did not believe that the Chibok girls were kidnapped until after 14 days. Now if Jonathan scores 10 percent votes in the whole North on Saturday March 28, 2015, I would not be surprised. His ambition to rule Nigeria for 10 years will cause him a big loss in the North. In fact, Jonathan has lost this election in the first ballot and he will be defeated mercilessly. Former President Obasanjo has completed history by tearing his membership card as a national leader in PDP. A friend told me that a big anointing has broken the yoke of PDP in Nigeria and things will never be the same again. The anointing of the Lord has set the captives free. PDP has been torn into shreds. PDP is collapsing. PDP IS FINISHED IN NIGERIA. The New York Times, one of the greatest and most influential institutions in the world, has described President Jonathan as a lousy president. Christiane Amanpour described Jonathan as a failed head of state. The Economists magazine described the Jonathan government as a failed regime. General Theophilus Danjuma says Jonathan is rewarding crime and encouraging more people to go into it. Senator McCain says Jonathan’s government is practically not existing and therefore America should just help Nigeria. Hilary Clinton says Jonathan is running a government that is supervising the siphoning of Nigeria’s resources. This is the verdict of the world and there is no hope again for President Jonathan and PDP in 2015."- Joe Igbokwe. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=942667169077434&id=100000024797452&refid=28&_ft_=qid.6117968361161445405%3Amf_story_key.3358522761930773165&__tn__=%2As |
