Jonathan Second term Ambition And A Schoolgirl’s Diary.

YOU DONT NEED TO BE A GRADUATE TO KNOW THAT;
*I Am not going to vote for someone who once had no shoes and school bags as a student but now has lots of shoes and bags but made students go on strike for about Eight (cool months.

*NEVER, I am not going to vote for someone who could not rescue about 230 school girls but still has plan to rule a country of about 200million people.

*NEVER, I am not going to vote for a grown up man who took advice from a 17year old girl (pakistan little girl) before he could make his own decision.

*NEVER, Am not going to vote for a black commander of Army who brought white marine soldiers to do his job for him and still yet nothing was done.

*NEVER, am not going to vote for a man that Boko Haram are killing his own people everyday and has no plan on how to stop the killing but can’t wait a minute when military took over power in Burkina Faso, he went there to stop the killing over there in Burkina Faso but could not stop the killing in his country.

*Finally am not going to vote for anybody who needs One Billion American Dollar to solve an Insurgency (Boko Haram) while the ordinary man on the street no even get (#100) hundred naira to eat.

You can scold me for speaking the truth, dont forget the truth is bitter. All we need is CHANGE and nothing else…. Please we all need to get our (PVC) Permanent Voters Card to vote this Clueless, Visionless and Wicked Government of Goodluck Ebola Jonathan (GEJ) out power.
Another four years of Jonathan will be doom for us. Please dont sell your vote because the money they will offer you can not sustain you for another four years. We should all stand up and say Capital NO to Jonathan.

Dangerously, we also have evidence that
“President Jonathan’s Social Media Aide Reno
Omokri” was “Exposed as Author Of fake document
linking ousted CBN Governor to Boko Haram”
See evidence here-- http://saharareporters.com/news-page/president-jonathan%E2%80%99s-social-media-aide-reno-omokri-exposed-author-fake-document-linking-ou

A concerned Nigerian named Chief-Umar Ibrahim
Tafida wrote on the 21 April 2014 that “We will
keep asking these questions, until we get a
satisfactory answer. Otherwise we gonna conclude:
Our assumed protectors are our attackers!

1. How come the insurgents move about
unchallenged at night in our states under so called
emergency rule when we have a night time curfew
in place?

2. How come the insurgents operate for many
hours unchallenged when we have military units
all over the place?

3. How come the insurgents move with a large
convoy of vehicles through routes that have 24
hours military checkpoints?

4. How come statements by the Presidency and
other authorities in Abuja are always at variance
with realities on ground at the theatres of
conflict?”

We want answers not insults or empty rhetoric”.
Another concerned Nigerian, Adam Baba Yamani
asked the world to consider if Boko Haram
exclusively is a North/Muslim affair when he posed
these 10 disturbing findings:

1. Case of Lydia Joseph who attempted to bomb
the St John’s Catholic Church in which she
fellowships in #Bauchi on September 12, 2011.

2. Case of Emmanuel King arrested in attempt to
bomb the Redeemed Christian Church of God
(RCCG) in Yenagoa, the #Bayelsa State capital
while camouflaged in Islamic attire on December
28, 2011.

3. Case of the non-Muslim Igbo traders that
gunned down a dozen fellow Igbo business men of
the same non-Islamic faith inside the Christ
Apostolic Church, in #Adamawa state on Friday,
6th day of January 2012.

4. Case of the unexplained action of the #Kaduna
pastor who was shot on February 20, 2012 while
attempting to force his vehicle through the
security barricade at the entrance of the state’s
government house.

5. Case of the recent blast February 21, 2012 in
the premises of Christ Embassy Church Morocco
Road Suleja, #Niger state that took place in the
trunk of a car mysteriously left unlocked by a
fellow worshipper in the same church.

6. Case of Samson Mangai who was arrested in
#Plateau state attempting to bomb a church.

7. Case of Madam Ruth who attempted to bomb
the ECWA church, Kalaring Kaltingo, in #Gombe
state.

8. Case of the arrest of about eight Christians in
Bauchi in an attempt to blast the COCIN church on
Sunday, February 26, 2012.

9. Case of the Christian bomber lynched while
escaping after blasting the COCIN Church of Jos on
Sunday, February 26, 2012.

10. Case of Gombe in which the police command
revealed the arrest of two Christian men, Hassan
Ojudu and Samaila Yakubu with a vehicle loaded
with explosive devices and ammunitions in
connection with the deadly attacks".

All these evidences and other so many utterances
from the President himself are enough for any
reasonable House of Representative to issue an
arrest warrant against these gangs who are
destroying our beloved country Nigeria and using
one of the most dangerous manipulation
techniques.

But it is sad that Nigerian present regime will not
arrest this gang just like they have failed to give
justice against highly dangerous Nigerians and
corrupt thieves who are now languishing in
international prisons. Unfortunately, the present
Nigeria is where majority is still living with serious
form of mental slavery. In that they see the
President or any government official as a demi-
God instead of a servant of the people.
These findings are sickening for goodness sake and
so many innocent lives have gone to early grave
because so many refused to take appropriate
actions because of their affiliations.

WHY NIGERIANS SHOULD BE AWARE OF LLP’s:
The worst are the Lazy Pen Pushers (LLP’s) who
are suffocating gullible citizens and the world with
“trashy” long packed of words containing Rhetoric’s
that are mainly a one dimensional analysis of who
are behind Boko Haram.

These set of lazes are evil in that they wanted the
populace to be fixated with one dimension and not
ask questions about all other evidences that the
Presidency and his gangs are giving the world free.

They forget that during the Bush era, the world
was meant to believe that Saddam Hussein has
Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and so many
LLP’s successfully convinced the world and it is
only after so many Americans, Iraq’s and other
innocent people lost their lives and properties that
the TRUTH was reveal that there was no WMD.
Therefore, Nigerians and the world have to be
extremely careful because our lives depend on it.

WHY NIGERIANS AND FRIENDS OF NIGERIA SHOULD
BE AWAKE:
People detonating bombs does not give a damn
about your country, ethnicity, religion, gender,
status, disabilities or political affiliations, so why
can't the people arise and start thinking deep
about all these cues because it is very apparent
that it is only MEND who has the type of power,
professionalism, access to funds and PROTECTION
BY THE GOVERNMENT AND THEY USE ‘esprit de
corps’ WHICH EXPLAINS WHY THEY CAN PASS
THROUGH SO MANY CHECK POINTS UNCKECKED.
I AM APPEALING TO YOU ALL TO THINK, ASK
QUESTIONS AND NEVER STOP SHARING ALL THESE
FINDINGS BECAUSE THAT IS ALL YOU HAVE UNTIL
THE ELDERS AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES
START TAKING PROACTIVE ACTIONS TO SAVE US
AND OUR BELOVED COUNTRY NIGERIA.
PLEASE STUDY THIS NOTE AND SHARE WITH YOUR
LEADERS, EMIRS, IGWE’S, OBA’S AND SHOW THEM
THE OTHER DIMENSION ABOUT BOKO HARAM. DO
NOT LET ANYONE MANIPULATE YOU TO BELIEVE IN
ONE DIMENTION BECAUSE TERRORISM AFFECT ALL
REGARDLESS OF OUR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN,
RELIGION, STATUS, POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS,
TRIBE, KINGDOM, SEX OR DISABILITY.
THUS, IT IS OUR RESPONSIBLITY TO APPROACH
OUR LEADERS AND SHARE ALL INFORMATIONS THAT
WOULD PUT A STOP TO ALL THE LIES, DIVIDE AND
CONQUER THAT IS A THREAT TO US ALL.
PLEASE STAY SAFE AND ALERT!

Written and Signed on this day 23/04/2014 by Princess Marian Iyabode Folorunsho Dada Awolowo.

NIGERIAN GLOBAL AWAKENING GROUP-Creator.
Politics#boko Haram: Using Multi-dimensional Approach. by ashson(op): 8:48am On Dec 02, 2014
#BOKO HARAM: USING MULTI-DIMENSIONAL
APPROACH.

Section. 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution states
that "the security and welfare of the people shall
be the PRIMARY PURPOSE of government"
Section 130(2) of the same Constitution states that
the President shall be the Commander-In-Chief of
the armed forces while Sections. 215 and 318 puts
the command and control of the police and armed
forces respectively on the president.

And on this basis I dare to opine that:
The Nigerian President’s media controllers are
selling lies to international communities that there
is only one dimension to “Boko Haram”. And the
reasons why they are terrorising Nigeria is because
“Boko Haram want to Islamise Nigeria”; “Muslims
are killing Christians because Jonathan is a
Christian President".

But, what the Presidency is forgetting is that we
now live in a global world and sooner or later the
lid will be wide open on the issue of Boko Haram
and their sponsors, and no lies or manipulations
will stop the retribution.

Shamefully, most of the other leaders are not
thinking deep and it explains why they have failed
so far to argue succinctly that the media
controller’s reason is cheap and a phoney, but a
highly dangerous form of propaganda techniques.
In this case, they have failed to present solid
argument and remind the world that President
Jonathan is a Christian who works closely with a
Muslim Vice President and his government consist
of both Christians and Muslims.

THE COMPILATIONS:
Importantly, the most affected areas where “Boko
Haram” is killing innocent citizens are largely
populated by Muslims, which explains why most of
the Casualties are Muslims.

From the Socio-behavioural perspective, it does
NOT make credible sense that the same group of
fanatics called Boko Haram will be largely attacking
and killing a section of the same society that has
always been known to be Muslims, who followed
the tenet of Islam.

Also, this group are highly family oriented and
related, in that one of their cultures includes inter
marriage. Therefore, they would not have been
killing their own families and children because they
wanted to “Islamised Nigeria” or because
“President Jonathan is a Christian”

Good evidence that should have been presented in
support of this viable argument is the 2011 voting
records because it will show that millions of
Muslims voted for Jonathan. If not, Jonathan would
have NEVER WON THE 2011 PRESIDENTIAL
ELECTION.

So does this makes sense that the same “Muslims
will be killing their own families and destroying
their own land because Jonathan is a “Christian
President”? or because they want to “Islamise
Nigeria”?

Other shaky reason the media controllers are
selling to the world is that "boko haram are
coming to Nigeria through Cameroon"
Now, let us look back at history and recalled
during Idiagbon-Buhari and Obasanjo regime,
where we witnessed how these men went all the
way to Cameroon to fight off act of bullying and
interference from Cameroon. They show the
Cameroonians that Nigeria will not tolerate any
terrorism, and since then our country have
experience peace and respect from this country.
Unlike now that we have lost all that respect
including large part of our land to Cameroon.
So I ask people who still have a will to think to
consider why the Presidency is not using all the
power confer to him in the Nigerian constitution
and use the most power force against “Boko
Haram?

We should also consider why is the President not
revealing the names of Boko Haram and their
sponsors as he promised the world that he would?
Is he petty footing because of the Christian
sympathy votes in 2015?

Recently, a man who has been reported to have
“converted to Islam” and also the leader of a
deadly militant group in the Niger Delta, MEND by
name Alh Mujahid Asari Dokunbo said "The type of
bomb they (bokoharam) are using is small small
pikin bomb. If we begin, nobody will stay in Abuja.
We don’t manufacture bomb, but we buy bombs &
dynamites."
- Alh. Mujahid Asari Dokubo

Up to date, the Presidency refused to take any
proactive action about this threat and many more
threats from the same man.

It is also very clear that they have the knowledge
to conduct the type of bombings that is going on
in Nigeria.

These evil utterances are consistent and it shows
that Asari and his followers have access to the
Presidency who appears to be protecting them.
And this explains why Asari boastfully threatens
that Jonathan cannot say he is not contesting 2015
election because he has "laid the foundation for
Jonathan", see evidence here---
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHF91uLZPgU

Please be mindful that this latest open threat to
the President of Nigeria by Asari Dokunbo was
after he was arrested in Republic of Benin for what
reports said was for "terrorism".

The same Asari confessed that he was arrested
and accuse of “training Boko Haram in the
Republic of Benin” see video evidence here-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2KQXqt98Ds

After Asari Dokunbo arrest, reports said that the
“President of Nigeria intervene and sent
Presidential jet to bring Asari Dokunbo back to
Nigeria”. Asari boasted that “President Jonathan
Intervened To Secure My Release From Beninoise
Gendarmes” see evidence here-- http://saharareporters.com/news-page/president-jonathan-intervened-secure-my-release-beninoise-gendarmes-says-asari-dokubo

Why is the President of Nigeria interfering in this
type of case? Can Asari Dokunbo travel to
international developed country? If he can, we
Nigerians SHOULD DARE HIM TO!

And if you are still in doubt: Use Discourse or
Thematic Analysis to Analyse the words of "Boko
Haram leader" and you will find that it correlated
with Asari Dokunbo’s utterances above and it is a
very good evidence that it was scripted by the
same person. Find the words of Boko Haram

Leader here: http://news.naij.com/64935.html

Before he was killed in a ghastly air crash, the
Nigerian Chief security Adviser to President
Jonathan Andrew Owoeye Azazi “blames the
internal workings of the PDP for Boko Haram”---

see evidence here--
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HfkH82TaEk

Another evidence of misinformation was when “Mr.
Jonathan had claimed that the media quoted him
out of context in their reporting of the remark he
made at a Christmas Day service that the war
against insurgency in Nigeria could not be totally
won.

In the statement signed by his Special Adviser on
Media, Reuben Abati, the president lambasted a
section of the media for carrying headlines, which,
in his estimation, suggested that the war against
terrorisms might never be won in the country.
He particularly criticised two headlines “Terrorism
Has Come to Stay” and Insurgency Far From Over –
Jonathan” by two newspapers he did not name,
saying they were most incongruous with the thrust
of his remarks and amounted to taking extreme
editorial liberties with his comment at the church
service”. But video evidence shows Jonathan lied
that he was misquoted see evidence here--
http://tidyurl.com/Video-Jonathan-blasts-media

MORE DISTURBING EVIDENCE: SEE CONNECTION
BETWEEN MEND and JONATHAN here---

1. Jonathan Gives ‘Tompolo’ Contract To Supply 20
Marine Patrol Vessels To Navy.

See evidence here-- http://saharareporters.com/news-page/jonathan-gives-%E2%80%98tompolo%E2%80%99-contract-supply-20-marine-patrol-vessels-navy

Also, reports later said that “N2.2 Billion Naira
that was paid to this ex militants by President
Jonathan for pipeline protection has been
absconded by an ex-Militant and a former Senator
of Bayelsa State”

For those wondering who is Tompolo? Tompolo is
an “ex Niger Delta Militant, General Tompolo real
name Government Ekpumopolo .

Only three years ago, he was a fugitive. In May
2009, Brigadier-General Sarkin Yaki Bello,
commander of the Joint Military Task Force, JTF, in
Niger Delta, had declared Government
Ekpemupolo the most wanted man in Nigeria.
Bello had fingered Ekpemupolo, or Tompolo, as he
is widely known, and his band of militants in the
Gbaramutu creeks of the Niger Delta as executing
the killing of 11 soldiers – one officer and 10
junior men. It was just one of the many instances
of the militants’ atrocities”.

see evidence here-- http://saharareporters.com/news-page/tompolo-billionaire-militant-thenews-africa

However, under President Jonathan, Tompolo has
taken “delivery of 13 sitters private jet Bombardier
Learjet 60 SE and was awarded 'Maritime Security
Contract' to protect Nigerian water ways by
President Goodluck Jonathan. Is it not worrying
that Tompolo another known Terrorist is in Charge
of Nigerian Waterways? Would this not make it
easy for arms and paid mercenaries to enter
Nigeria without detection by Altruistic Nigerians?

2 . In around March 2013, “allegation by the Ojora
of Ijora, Oba Fatai Oyeyinka Aromire said that a
house where nine suspected terrorists, including a
Chadian, were arrested in Ijora-Badia in Lagos
belongs to the Bayelsa State Government”. “Why
would the Bayelsa state Government maintain an
abandoned property in Ijora-Badia of all places in
Lagos?” See evidence here--- http://
saharareporters.com/news-page/afenifere-boko-
haram-our-ancestors-will-finish-you
We are aware that the president of Nigeria is a
native of Bayelsa State, but is this another
coincident that a house where foreign terrorists
were found belongs to his State?

3. WHEN MEND BOMBED ABUJA ON
INDEPENDENCE DAY IN 2010, THE PRESIDENT OF
NIGERIA, JONATHAN LIED TO THE WORLD WHEN HE
BLAMED THE BOMBING ON INNOCENT OTHERS
RATHER THAN MEND, NIGER DELTAN TERRORIST
GROUP.

IN FACT, HE EXONORATED MEND IMMEDIATELY
AFTER THE DEADLY BOMBING SAYING THAT HE
KNOWS HIS PEOPLE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR
THE BOMBING.

4. President Jonathan also confirm to the whole
world that he know who Boko Haram are, that
they are in his government, he concluded by
promising the world that he would release the
names of boko Haram in his government. BUT, up
to date, evidence shows that President Jonathan
have failed on this very important promise. And
this was President Jonathan's response about Boko
Haram
“They (BOKO HARAM) are our siblings; we cannot
send soldiers to crush our siblings." PRESIDENT
JONATHAN (2011)

5. Also, it is very apparent that there are 3
fractions of Boko Haram-
a) The ruthless religious boko haram
b) Deadly business arm who trade in arms.
c) The evil militant Boko Haram that PDP imposed
in order to achieve divide and conquer

6. Some other hundreds members of MEND were
sent around the world for one reason(s) or the
other under the guise of training. Members of
MEND were also reported to have been sent to
foreign lands to be trained as Pilots. Where are
they now? And who is monitoring their activities?

7. It is a matter of fact that Mend claim
responsibility for Independence Day bombing in
Abuja in 2010. Henry Ohkar, ex-leader of MEND
implicated President Jonathan in the Abuja
Bombings claiming that they are working under the
instructions of the President. In a sworn affidavit
presented to South African court, Henry Okah said
“It is my belief that President Goodluck
Jonathan’s government working with a faction
of MEND planned and executed the bombings of
14 March 2010 and 1 October 2010,”
see evidence here--- http://www.premiumtimesng.com/politics/4906henry_okah_insists_jonathan_behind_bomb_attacks.html

Henry Okah is now languishing in prison, not in
Nigerian prison, but in South African prison.

See evidence here--- http://saharareporters.com/news-page/henry-okah-trial-south-africa-uncovers-role-jonathan%E2%80%99s-aides-abuja-independence-day-bomb-s?page=1

8. Stella Odua was selected by the President to be
in Charge of Nigerian Airwaves, and we have
witnessed so many air crashes and innocent deaths
like never before in Nigerian airspace. Stella
Oduah was later investigated for fraud. The reports
stated that “The American National Centre for
Education Statistics has told PREMIUM TIMES that
the Pacific Christian University, Glendale, which
Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, claimed awarded
her a doctorate degree, does not exist, confirming
this newspaper’s Wednesday’s report that the
minister’s purported honorary Ph.D is fake. The
National Centre for Education Statistics is an
agency under the U.S. Department of Education”.

See evidence here-- http://mobile.saharareporters.com/news-page/us-education-department-california-based-university-confirm-stella-oduah%E2%80%99s-honorary-phd-fa

9. To suppress and manipulate Christians against
Muslims, Mr. Ayo Oritsejafor was appointed as
President of Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN.
And the country has witnessed high level of
religious divide in the history of our dear country.
However, Oritsejafor has since received his own Jet
in preparation for an escape. But the citizens
continued to endure one threats or the other.
Other evidence indicated that the CAN president
has bastardised Christianity by fraternising with
the President of Nigeria and implicated in bribery.
The reports stated that “It’s no longer a secret
that Ayo is a card-carrying member of PDP and he
sees everyone who fraternizes with former vice
president Atiku and the G-7 governors as enemies
to his president friend. Are you aware that
President Jonathan before now promised to make
several billions of Naira to the CAN with coaster
buses? But I can confidently tell you that about 50
billion Naira and some buses have since been
released to the political CAN president in
fulfilment of the promise ahead of the 2015
general elections”.

See evidence here--- http://saharareporters.com/news-page/war-can-pastor-oritsjejafor-accused-ganging-against-bishops-who-visited-atiku-aggrieved-pd

10. The house were Boko Haram were arrested
with weapons in Ojora Lagos was reported to be
owned by Delta State Government. Where are the
Malians, Chadians and other foreign terrorist that
were arrested in that house? Why are Nigerians
still waiting to see them appear in the court of
law?

What should worry any concern citizens and the
world is that above points are highly correlated.
The evidences are there, glaring us in the face day
in day out while innocent people continue to die
needlessly under the guise of “Islamic Boko
Haram” headed by late Yusuf even though it Is
very clear that the Religious fraction of Boko
Haram are not sophisticated enough for the type
of bombings that Nigerians have been exposed to
since October 1st 2010.

11. Crucially, the ex-President of Nigeria Chief
Obasanjo wrote a historic letter to President
Jonathan on the 2nd December 2013 “that clearly
competes as one of the most acerbic in modern
history, accusing him of ineptitude and of taking
actions calculated at destroying Nigeria”
He accused President Jonathan of “training 1000
snipers” stating that “Nigeria is bleeding and the
hemorrhage must be stopped,” Mr. Obasanjo said
in the 18-page letter he titled “Before It Is Too
Late”. He added that “Mr. Jonathan has failed to
deliver on his promises to the Nigerian people,
stem corruption, promote national unity and
strengthen national security. That rather than take
steps to advance Nigeria’s interest and up the
standards of living of Nigerians, Mr. Jonathan had
betrayed God and the Nigerian people that
brought him to power, and has been pursuing
selfish personal and political interests based on
advice he receives from self-centred aides”.

Our Country Is Now Under A Cloud of Shame ––Wole Soyinka

With the way politicians are behaving these days, it's only a blind man that would say he is not seeing how things are turning upside down in Nigeria. Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has likened the current spat of insurgency in Nigeria to living under a cloud of shame and feeling of dereliction.

Soyinka said insurgency was thriving in the country due to the incompetence of the government and a clear case of lack of genuine leadership.
He said, “We are sitting under a cloud of heavy embarrassment, shame of the feeling of dereliction, sullen responsibility towards children. We are sitting under a cloud of impotence, of a calamity that was not without notice, and whose myriad causes is quite discernible.
“We are here because of education because we will never stop learning till death. This cloud is made up of a sense of humiliation. We sent our children on an errand and they did not return. The errand is what we are celebrating today. The errand was to prepare the children for today but they never came back, that is what we cannot allow ourselves to forget.”

Soyinka spoke at the 2014 Foundation Day Anniversary and Convocation Ceremonies of the University of Ibadan, where he was honoured with Doctor of Letters honorary degree.

Soyinka was honoured alongside Emeritus Professor Olufemi Ogunlesi, who became the oldest person to receive honorary award of the institution; and businessman owner of Globacom Limited, Mike Adenuga.

Soyinka, who was described by the institution as the courageous voice for human rights, said although the gathering was meant to celebrate success, it would be difficult to cast aside the plight of the abducted girls in Chibok seized by Boko Haram insurgents over six months ago.

He also said that the Nigerian government was guilty of the failure to protect its children and build a safe nation for all.

The Nobel laureate said, “We are familiar with what is going on so I have decided that there is nothing new in what I am going to say. In Port Harcourt where I made a speech at the University of Science and Technology three years ago, I asked deliberately, ‘where is the University of Maiduguri today?’ In the US back in 1957 at the time of racism, the president of that nation federalised the National Guard and ordered it to protect a young girl.

“Do we send children to school to have their hands tied and their throat slit? Yet, we have leadership that is asking the terrorist to come to the table and negotiate with it while children were being killed and taken away in Chibok.
“What crime did they commit? This is not what our children deserve. It begins with the failure to respond as the US president did to protect the little girl. What is the difference between Nigeria’s Boko Haram and America’s night and day riders of hate and destruction? Both thrive on hate, intimidation and inculcation of fear, intolerance and terror. This is what is happening to our institutions, especially in the northern part of our country.”

UNIMAID Student Narrate How He Spent Three Horrible Years in Military Detention as a Boko Haram Suspect.

Alisu Adamu, a 3rd year chemistry student at the
University of Maiduguri, has described himself as
among thousands of innocent Nigerians illegally
arrested, detained and tortured for more than
three years by Nigeria’s military as part of the
countermeasures against Islamist Boko Haram
militants who have waged a five-year war in
Nigeria’s northeast zone.

Mr. Adamu, who hails from Biu local government
area of Borno state, said he and other detainees
were seized by the military from the Borno State
capital of Maiduguri as well as surrounding towns
plagued by Islamist insurgency. Boko Haram,
which has declared western education as
abominable, has waged a bloody fight in the
northeast in a bid to establish an Islamic state in
Nigeria.

Apart spending more than three years in
detention, Mr. Adamu became one of 39 indigenes
of Borno State and three foreigners who were
handed over to the Borno State government last
Thursday after thorough investigation by the
military revealed that they had no links to Boko
Haram.

In an exclusive interview with Sahara Reporters just after his release, Mr.
Adamu narrated his experiences. Excerpts below:
I was arrested in my house in Wulari Street in
Maiduguri. I can still remember vividly that it was
16th April 2011. I had come back from school and
had my dinner. I was sleeping when I heard a
knock on my door around 9 p.m. I asked who was
at the door. Some people said, “Open the door!”
When I opened it, I saw them [the military]. I
wondered what had happened. Then they said I
should not worry, I should come with them, that it
was just questions and answers. I said ok, no
problem! They took me to 21 Armored Brigade
(Giwa Barracks). So I was there for more than
three years.

While I was in detention there, I saw many people
pass away. For me, it sometimes seemed that it
was the end of my life but I kept praying for God’s
mercy to fall upon me.

I never knew that there would be a day like this
where I would be free. I saw hell.
I feel so happy and excited. Today is the happiest
day in my life. After such a long period of time in
military detention, you should know what one
would have undergone. I saw hell, but to be
candid I also consider myself the luckiest person
because many died.

I recall March 14th of March this year when Boko
Haram attacked Giwa Barracks. It was around 6:45
a.m. We went out to bathe and started hearing
gunshots. After our baths, we returned to the cell.
We felt it was the kind of normal testing that the
military usually does, but the gunshots became
unbearable. So I heard loud deadly weapons. We
didn’t know what to do and to say, but we started
praying that God should save us. However, the
next thing we heard was “Allahu Akbar!” meaning,
“God is Great!” So they [Boko Haram] came and
opened the cells and freed everyone, but about
eight of us managed to hide ourselves in the
kitchen. That was how we could escape Boko
Haram.

Looking back to my experiences in detention for
three-and-and-a-half years, I lack words to
describe what happened. My eyes saw things and I
went through an unbearable situation, but I thank
God that I am finally free.

The next step for me is how to go back to the
University and finish my education because I was
in 300 levels when this happened.

PoliticsA Lesson For All Nigerians by ashson(op): 12:48am On Nov 08, 2014
A LESSON FOR ALL NIGERIANS

Mubi, the biggest commercial town in Adamawa state, was thrown into chaos the day Boko Haram descended on them and the people found themselves running for their lives. The terrorists shot sporadically, killing a lot of people while those who could escape jumped into any available car to run to safety.

Christians, Muslims, Igbos, Yorubas, Tivs, Hausas and any tribe or religion, jumped onto any vehicle that was headed outside the town. Soldiers scampered onto trucks with civilians, begging to be saved, hundreds of people who could not get a vehicle ran into the hills.

In their frantic effort to stay alive, no one paid attention to anybody's religion or ethnicity before asking them for help or helping them to stay alive. It was a community of
people, united by their desire to escape the common enemy that hunted them all without discrimination.

Ethnicity and religion vanished, all they were left with was their humanity. Those climbing the hills stayed together, helping one another stay on their feet as they all tried to survive. The most interesting part of the narrative is that the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Badeh is from the same town of Mubi. It has been reported that few hours before the attack, helicopters flew in and evacuated his family members from the town.

The chief of Defence staff by the way, is the most senior military officer in Nigeria and he controls the army, navy and air force. Before that sad day, someone from Mubi would have boasted that the Chief of Defence Staff is from their home town. But on the day that it mattered the most, he evacuated only his family members and abandoned everyone else to their fate. It means he had informationof the impending attack and as the most senior military commander, he did not fly into the town to lead his men to battle to defend his community. He quietly saved only his family and left even the soldiers without an inspiring commander to motivate them to engage the terrorists and defend his community.

One lesson all Nigerians must learn from this story is that as a people, all we have is our neighbours. When you need some help at home, you knock on the door of your neighbour. The president, governor, senator or minister is not there to help you. Why then should you continue to fight your neighbour because of a man or woman who cares only about his own family?

Our elites may deceive us about sharing the same religion or ethnicity with us, but time and again, they have proven that they do not care. We have been fools, killing one another on the basis of religion andethnicity while they stay united across all the divides and plunder our wealth.

The time has come for us to rise, educate one another and unite to fight our biggest common enemy. The politicians are our enemies and not the poor struggling men and women in our neighbourhoods. What now will the people of Mubi boast about as the gain of having their son as the chief of Defence Staff?

If you go to Otueke where Jonathan comes from, there are many people who live in excruciating poverty! There is still a lot of poverty and suffering in the home towns of all our governors, ministers, parliamentarians and former presidents, while they and their families live in scandalous affluence.

The minister of petroleum spent over 10 billion Naira on a private jet. That money can end the poverty of several communities in her state. Stella Oduah bought two cars with 120 million Naira while there are people in her home town who can't afford 500 Naira to feed their family in a day. The time to throw away the sentiments is now! Support only a man or woman who has a just heart and will serve everyone and every community regardless of if they come from there or not.

The moment anyone begins to talk to you about religion or ethnicity, reject him summarily! We need leaders who will unite us because our shared humanity is greater than any differences between us. And if someonedoes something wrong or fails in governance, do not support them simply because they're your own.

The Jonathan Who Failed To See Tomorrow...

The greatest character flaw of Nigerian politicians is that they always think there would be no tomorrow. Similarly, they fail to grasp that nothing flies like time. And that no condition is permanent.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was the worst student in the under-estimation of how times fly. So when his eight years at Aso Rock flew away like a rocket, he resorted to illegal means in his evil bid to extend his tenure as president. Even if he had succeeded, he would still not have been president today.

Obasanjo's parting gift to Nigeria was President Goodluck Jonathan. Unfortunately, he, like his benefactor, failed to realize that one of the certainties of life is that tomorrow will dawn. At the midnight of his presidency, he has also figured out that he has not used his time maximally, as president of the Republic, to serve the interest of ordinary Nigerians, who entrusted him with leadership.

In Nigeria of my time, Jonathan is the only man that ascended the presidency on popular acclamation. Nigerians connected massively with his humility then and the touching story of his shoeless childhood. More than ever in the history of our nation, the commonplace people had genuinely hoped for a new beginning and a new Nigeria, where they could pursue a dignified life, as citizens of a major oil exporter.

The saddest thing about Nigeria is that it is the only country, where the citizens needlessly suffer in the midst of plenty, due to the treacherous callousness of the ruling class.

Jonathan had promised to end that in his promise of “a breadth of fresh air.” It resonated well and the people trusted that he will change once and for all the way business is done at the top of government.

Unfortunately, once he secured power, he turned his coat and began to serve only the interest of the rich. Naturally, Nigerians got disappointed – this writer as well.
As another political tomorrow is about to dawn and because Jonathan failed to see tomorrow, he is now desperately doing everything to win back the minds of estranged Nigerian voters.

Normally, no serious president could have the effrontery to ask the electorate for reelection when over 200 Nigerian girls remain unaccounted for. The Chibok school girls continue to languish in the captivity of Boko Haram. This is why Jonathan is doing all within his means, including secretly negotiating with Boko Haram without telling Nigerians, to secure the release of those girls and also to improve on the security situation in the country. In his almost six years presidency, nothing has given him sleepless nights like the abduction of the Chibok girls. He is quite aware that it will go a long way in defining his days as president. If he had done the right things; changed Nigeria as he had promised and served the interest of the people, as he should have done, things would have been different. His political life would not have depended on the Chibok outcome.

The truth remains that this president cannot be blamed for Boko Haram. Before Jonathan, there was Boko Haram. However, if the security situation in the country is anything to go by, Boko Haram, which was once a toothless bulldog, has turned into a monster of mass destruction under his watch.

Jonathan could certainly be blamed for not taking drastic and decisive measures to check the growth of the terror group.

At the twilight of his first tenure in office, there is nothing memorable he has given to Nigerians or the nation. Jonathan failed on his promise. After six years, there is still no light, water, good roads. Unemployment, especially among the Youth, has worsened. In fact, young Nigerians of the future generation died while scampering for an unattractive Immigration job they never would have gotten any way.

The disappointment about Jonathan's presidency is widespread and intense. But somehow he thinks that Nigerians could forget and forgive him if he brought back the Chibok girls alive and if he ended the Boko Haram insurgency.

It was pitiable to watch the government declare a unilateral ceasefire, which collapsed within hours as an unimpressed Boko Haram ransacked another village in the North East. If two parties have been at war, one party can not hurriedly mount the platform to announce a ceasefire without the presence and expression of consent of the other party.

It shows the helplessness of our military in confronting Boko Haram, which they had once boasted to crush. The group are now being begged to embrace peace (because election is dangerously lurking). It further underlines the desperation of this government to secure a closure to the Chibok national embarrassment before the elections in February.

As the military announced the unilateral ceasefire, Nigerians were also told that the Chibok girls are on their way back home. As I write, that has not happened. Therefore, if Jonathan wanted to turn the untold ordeal of those girls into a political gain, his calculations must have backfired.

I will leave it to Nigerians to reach the decision if they could trust Jonathan again, should he secure the release of the #BringBackOurGirls victims.

But if the girls are eventually freed, they would not be coming back the same girls who went into captivity. Their lives would surely never be the same again. So, it is certainly a wrong premise for Jonathan to anchor his reelection bid. His greatest undoing is that he failed to realize that his time as president and commander-in chief is limited. Jonathan, like all others before him, failed to see and think about tomorrow.

-SEN. MAKARFI.

General Buhari rose from the rank of a lieutenant in the army to a General. At one time, he was a GOC. He was later appointed Military Administrator of the old North-East. He was in the Petroleum Ministry as minister. In December 1983 he became Head of State via a coup. During late General Sani Abacha’s regime, he headed the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) before former President Obasanjo scrapped it. But I read in the papers where the General himself said after obtaining his CPC presidential form, which cost him over N5 Million, he is now left with less than a million Naira in his account. Now my task is to challenge all of us to ensure this man becomes President this year. General Buhari deserves to be given a chance. When he became Head of State after the 1983 coup, thousands of Second Republic politicians, including me, were picked and locked up by the Junta. But even in kirikiri, I discovered that the NPN elements among us were giving bribe to prison officials to ensure they got a double ration of food. It dawned on me that people who can offer bribes even in kirikiri have no reason to be our leaders. Buhari was vindicated.

Buhari Finally Opens Up: I Knew Babangida Was Planning To Overthrow Me

Buhari became head of state on December 31,
1983 after the military overthrew the government
of Shehu Shagari. But on August 27, 1985, Buhari
himself was overthrown by Babangida, his chief of
army staff and key actor in the 1983 coup.

Buhari, a retired major general and presidential
aspirant on the platform of All Progressives
Congress (APC), told TheCable: "It is true that I
learnt he was planning a coup against me. And I
sat and discussed it with him in my office.

"He brought the news that he went to Kano and
people complained that I pulled a pistol during a
council meeting. I said Ibro ─ I called him Ibro
because I was just senior to him by a few months
─ I said whoever wants to sit on this chair let him
come and sit here. And he decided to do it."
Reminded that the punishment for coup making
was death and he could have put Babangida on
trial, Buhari replied: "Yes. Remember how many
people he killed subsequently for trying to
overthrow him? But when I came in, there was no
bloodshed. I think a couple of policemen were
killed and [Brigadier Ibrahim] Bako also died in an
ambush.

"But deliberately, nobody was killed. I was in the
front, the real front in the Nigerian civil war. I had
seen enough of death and I know what God means
by human life. Any human being, God values their
life. And anybody who hopes to meet God, he
should be careful about killing...

"When there is law and due process of law took
place, the question is clear. Like the cocaine
convicts that were executed, the decision was
taken in supreme military council."

Below is the concluding part of the interview:

TheCable: People say that you were not really
involved in the coup that overthrew Shehu Shagari
but you only happened to have been made head
of state. But we also heard that Alhaji Umaru
Dikko, then minister of transport, felt you were a
threat and asked that you be watched. How true
are these reports?

Buhari: General David Jemibewon is still alive. He
was the adjutant-general of the army at that time.
When I came back from the War College in the
United States, I was posted to Ikeja and I was
made the GOC of the fourth division. I think I
lasted for about four to six months there because
some people in Shagari’s government said I was
too dangerous to be kept around. So I was sent to
Ibadan to command second division. I lasted about
six months there. Again, I was posted to Jos to
command the third armoured division. Then
Jemibewon said to me, Buhari, the way they are
moving you, your next posting will be to Daura
(Buhari's home town in Katsina state). I had a
good laugh. I will never forget. It was during the
chief of army staff conference.

TheCable: How much did you know about the 1983
coup?

Buhari: I am working on my memoirs... (But) I
have something to say now about the way we treat
our military officers who really served this country.
Along the line we have gone through so much,
those of us in my generation. We served under
people like Generals Shuwa, Adekunle, Murtala,
Danjuma. I think these people have sacrificed so
much. I think Nigeria should really honour them.
When I went to greet the family of (Benjamin)
Adekunle after his death, and I saw that he was
living in a glorified boys quarters, I was very sorry
for this country. I felt sorry for this country. What
type of people are we? For him to finish up like
that, I was very sorry for this country. Unless
people believe in God, I think they will forsake this
country.

TheCable: Alhaji Umaru Dikko is dead now. There
was an attempt to smuggle him into the country
from the UK to Nigeria. Your government was
suspected as the brain behind it but you denied it
then. Can the information be declassified now?

Buhari: No. (General laughter). I'm surprised that
I am making you laugh. It is classified and it
remains so.

TheCable: Were you really aware that Babangida
was planning a coup against you in 1985?

Buhari: Yes, it is true that I learnt he was planning
a coup against me. And I sat and discussed it with
him in my office. He was the chief of army staff
and I was the head of state. He brought the news
that he went to Kano and people complained that
I pulled a pistol during a council meeting. I had
never heard that before, except a newspaper
cartoon I saw many, many years ago about
Mengistu Haile Mariam (former Ethiopian head of
state). They were just making up stories. I said
Ibro ─ I called him Ibro because I was just senior
to him by a few months ─ I said whoever wants to
sit on this chair let him come and sit here. And he
decided to do it.

TheCable: But the punishment for coup making is
death...

Buhari: Yes. Remember how many people he killed
subsequently for trying to overthrow him? But
when I came in, there was no bloodshed. I think a
couple of policemen were killed and (Brigadier
Ibrahim) Bako also died. That was when they went
to pick Shagari from somewhere, I think in Abuja.
But deliberately, nobody as killed. I was in the
front, the real front in the Nigerian civil war. I
have seen enough of death and I know what God
means by human life. Any human person, God
values their life. And anybody who hopes to meet
God, he should be careful about killing. When
there is law and due process of law took place, the
question is clear. Like the cocaine convicts that
were executed (in 1984), the decision was taken by
the supreme military council (SMC).

TheCable: But when he eventually overthrew you,
didn’t you regret that you should have taken
action when you heard that he was planning
against you?

Buhari: Taking action pre-empting and jailing or
killing people does not solve the problem. But let
people honestly ask now, as you said, those who
are bothered about Nigeria, let them ask now:
what did I attempt to do for the time Babangida
and his group allowed me to stay and what did
they do in his eight years in office? I told you
about the naira and the dollar, and the IMF
programme. What did they do? They wanted to
impress the world? The naira was devalued by
about 122 percent. We have never recovered. Go
and ask any economist. When you devalue a
currency, it can never recover. Some of the
politicians that were jailed for corruption, they
were released and their loot was returned to them
by Babangida. So it’s a big joke. That means I was
there then before my time.

TheCable: Having been a military ruler who
overthrew a democratic government, how did you
now come around to subscribe to democracy?

Buhari: At the risk of sounding like a broken
gramophone record, I will tell the story again. After
I came out of detention and went home in
December 1988... then in 1989, 1990, 1991, the
Soviet Union collapsed and that had a terrific
impact on me. People were coming to me for
advice. Thank God, they did not come to me to ask
for money because they knew I had no money. I
declared my assets as many times as I occupied
political office because that was the law. And when
I left I declared my assets. All those of us, our
generation, from Obasanjo downward, if the
country is serious about questioning them on how
they acquired what have, it is easy because by law
you have to declare your assets before office and
after you leave office. But because it is so
convenient to ignore the and accumulate wealth,
that is what the big men and big women are doing.

Now, when the Soviet Union collapsed I realised
that there was something right about multi-party
democracy. I believe it was superior. But then how
can we get it done in Nigeria? That was what
eventually took me to partisan politics. And why
did I leave the ANPP and form CPC? Why was I
active in the merging of the opposition to become
APC? It is all about strengthening our democracy
and stabilising the system. I don’t like any person
to see me as an impulsive person. I deliberately
take decisions for my actions. That it is why when
ANPP gave me the presidential ticket in 2003 and
2007, I went into the field, did my best but
unfortunately we didn’t achieve success. But then
while we were in court the party’s leadership took
two marginal ministerial positions in the
government of the late Umaru Yar'Adua. The party
chairman said his son was taking up an
appointment as special adviser while we were still
in court.

Since 2005, we discovered that none of the
opposition parties could face the PDP. The PDP
has become so amorphous and it didn’t care about
the opposition. If you see what happened to our
members during elections... the killings, the
burning. We realised we had to come together to
face the PDP. This is the best way I think we can
stabilise the system. When we stabilise the system
impunity will not be acceptable. That is why we
formed the APC. We need multi-party democracy
to stabilise the system.

TheCable: What does a typical day in your life look
like these days?

Buhari: Firstly, as you know, normally the
practising Muslims have to wake up about five in
the morning and pray. And I am an avid listener of
the Voice of America and the BBC, Hausa service.
This is because over the years I have discovered
that they have been very, very helpful in educating
the mostly illiterate Hausa-speaking populace.
From Agadez or even from Tripoli down almost to
South Africa, and from Senegal to Central Africa
Republic, there is large body of Hausa-speaking
communities, not necessarily Nigerian or Hausa,
but those who speak the language because of
trading over the centuries.

I found out VOA and BBC commentaries on politics
and economics very good. They help to educate
people. And they allow people to discuss, express
different opinions and they interpret it, and I find
that very helpful. And it is very current for
Nigerian politics for that audience. I listen to that,
and then I try to rest again. And then by 10am I
have my breakfast, and go to the office or stay in
the house if I choose to work without any
interference. Otherwise, I go to the office and try
to attend to official duties if I have appointments.
About 4pm and 5pm I come back home, and
mostly up to 10 in the night I will be with people
discussing things.

These days, it is very difficult. This time scheduling
is too tight. Sometimes I wish I had more than 24
hours to keep up with the demands of meeting
people. Again, Nigerian politics, especially this time
around, is the main issue. It is keeping me
extremely busy. I go to bed nothing earlier than
half past 11pm. I wish I could observe siestas.
Sometimes I do. If I can escape from the office by 3:30 pm.

Science/TechnologyThe Earth Will Experience 6 Days Of Almost Complete Darkness: NASA by ashson(op):
NASA has confirmed that the Earth will experience 6 days of almost complete darkness and will happen from the dates Tuesday the 16 – Monday the 22 in December.
The world will remain, during these three days, without sunlight due to a solar storm, which will cause dust and space debris to become plentiful and thus, block 90% sunlight.

This is the head of NASA Charles Bolden who made the announcement and asked everyone to remain calm. This will be the product of a solar storm, the
largest in the last 250 years for a period of 216 hours total. Reporters interviewed a few people to
hear what they had to say about the situation with Michael Hearns responding “We gonna be purgin my n*gga, six days of darkness means six days of turnin up fam”.

Despite the six days of darkness soon to come, officials say that the earth will not experience any major problems, since six days of darkness is nowhere near enough to cause major damage to anything. “We will solely rely on artificial light for the six days, which is not a problem at all”, says NASA scientist Earl Godoy.

What do you plan to do during these six days of darkness?

Police Armament Officer Accused Of Attempting to Steal Firearms ‘Commits Suicide’

A police armament officer in Kaduna State, arrested while allegedly attempting to steal firearms from the command’s armoury, has committed suicide, police authorities said Friday.
Nanbol Audu, a deputy superintendent of police, “killed himself” early Friday, the State Commissioner of Police, Umar Ambursa, told Our Reporter.

He denied that the police officer may have been murdered while in detention.

“Yes, but he was not killed, he killed himself early this morning around 5a.m. in detention. We will let you know the details later,” he said.

Police officials said Mr. Audu “shot” himself while in police custody in Kaduna.

But the force did not explain how and where the accused officer obtained firearms while still in detention.

The police commissioner had said Mr. Audu and two others on Monday drove to the police armoury at night where they loaded firearms into a private vehicle.

He said police officers on guard suspected foul play and stopped the vehicle from leaving the premises.

“Upon interrogation, the State Armament Officer could not give satisfactory account of his action which led to his arrest and the two other occupants of the vehicle — one Zingkur Joseph of Trade Centre Jos and Samuel Adamu of Kuru Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, respectively,” Mr. Ambursa said.

“During search at the spot, 11 G3 Rifles already concealed under the vehicle seat were recovered,” the commissioners of police said.”
Mr. Ambursa added that investigations revealed that one of the two civilian suspects was a blacksmith who specializes in manufacturing locally-made firearms.

“The two suspects came from Jos, Plateau State on arrangement to purchase the said firearms from the Armament Officer at the cost of N400, 000,” Mr. Ambursa said.

He listed other recovered items as: N400, 000 cash, yellow Mercedes Benz 230-E with Registration number LGT 588 RJ used in concealing the arms.
