For the Lawyers in the house who've assessed their degrees with WES, CIC confirmed to me via Facebook that they will take your degree as a professional degree even if WES has assessed it as a 4 year Bachelor's degree. So claim the Professional degree points without fear.

May this news be true so I can jump into the pool immediately I am done with my ECA. Speaking is tomorrow. Wish me luck.

This is for lawyers evaluating LLB. I came across new information suggesting that WES evaluates LLB as a first professional degree which is the equivalent of a Masters degree. See attached.

Please consult more before trying this. I am only "forwarding as received"

t's funny how you are busy posting my merchandise when you have not delivered them, you have refused to pick my calls nor respond to my messages. The only thing you have succeeded in doing so far is alienating me as a client. Please stay away from this GreenAir guy. He will respond until he has collected his commission then run away. I shipped in packaging materials through him, all was well even with the delay which I understood due to the season. Now, my goods landed, Oga asked me to pay an extra 60,000 naira for NAFDAC fees and I told him they are empty, there's nothing in them. Even my last shipment I picked up from another shipper of a lot more volume of packaging materials, I wasn't asked to pay a dime. I asked him why his own is different, the next thing is, he disappears, stopped picking my calls & ignoring my messages.
When he finally does respond it's to send me the contact of yet another agent it's with. The second agent too doesn't pick calls. When he saw i was getting upset, he played the "I'm ill" card.
In all these, he is yet to tell me why I should pay a whopping 60k extra to NAFDAC for empty bottles when I didn't do same for the agent I initially used. I also thank God I split my purchases between 2 agents if not I would have blindly paid way more than 60k for empty bottles.
A simple courtesy call from him hasn't been received up until this moment. The most annoying part is I sent someone to the address he gave me for pick up to find no one there. I started calling yet again and the guy refused to pick up, I had to send a text and tell my husband to use his international number to call the guy and put us in a conference call. The agent said he will resume Monday 7th.
In all my years of bringing in stuff from China, this is the worst experience I have ever had which has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I do not recommend you do business with this dude called Victor of GreenAir Logistics as he is only nice until he gets his commission but leaves you hanging when there is an issue & also fraudulently inflates costs. Do business with him at your own risk.

P.S- I will update the house on Monday when I collect my package. It is my prayer that they come out undamaged and complete.

My guess is that you need to complete a new DS160 and book a new appointment if they are saying your visa is no longer valid.

Currently reporting from IAH. Just landed. POE was a breeze although the man wanted to form asking plenty questions. Below is my transcript:
Once he sights me with my very big top the questions begin:
Me: Hi(while smiling)
CBP: hi, where are you from?
Me: Nigeria( his demeanor changed)
CBP: why are you in the United States
Me: still smiling, I say to have my baby
CBP: why are all Nigerians coming here to have thier baby:
Me: I don't know about others but I am here for the better healthcare.
CBP: everyone says better healthcare.
Me: I had complications with my first baby in Nigeria, so the 2nd one I had him here. I enjoyed the experience so am back for my 3rd.
CBP: everyone says they have complications in Nigeria. Don't people have babies there anymore? So you want your babies to be Americans. That means you plan to move here in the future.
Me: I don't know what the future holds but what I know is that it's their decision if they plan to move here. While saying all these, my smile is broad o. And I'm looking calm.
CBP: you said you had your last baby here:
Me: Before he could finish, I have my folder of receipts on his table.
CBP: how much cash do you have on you?
Me: $5,000. I brought it out and placed on his table plus my Dr correspondence showing my total and how much I had paid. He asked me to put it back.
CBP: where's your husband? Is he coming to join you for the birth of your baby?
Me: No he isn't.
CBP: Why?
Me: He has to stay back and take care of our boys. Then I showed him screen saver of my boys.
By this time, he was tired of me and my over openess. I did my biometrics. And he stamped me in for 6 months. No secondary inspection. At agriculture, I was asked jokingly if I came with Suya and okazi. I answered No to the Suya and yes to the okazi. Any indomie? Yes. Chicken? No, onion flavor. The guy didn't check anything and told me to go.
That's my own experience. In the spirit of giving back. Lol.
Emirates flight was very ok but also the longest flight I have ever had. From Nigeria to Dubai. Then when we got to Dubai they told us we will get to Boston 1st before houston. I almost cried. In all I give God thanks.

Travelstart is safe and okay, got my ticket there...

Please stay away from travelstart. i bought my united ticket from them. United has since refunded my money to them but theyhave refused to release my money to me. Send them emails, they dont respond. Call them, they cannot be reached. Wakanow is the best bet when it comes to these issues and they are even cheaper than travelstart. Even if its Dangote who has a seaload of money, i will still tell him to look elsewhere. I will go to their office soon and rake for them.

Kemmy2pretty:
Dear NL,

Thank you for your contributions on this forum!
Reporting from In town suites, El paso. I would like to share my POE experience.
Arrived Houston via London yesterday at 2.15pm (Lufthansa/united airline). The queue was very long, stood for almost 2 hrs. There were very few CBPs on duty and just before it got to my turn, 3 of them closed ( I was happy though because their faces were not too friendly). na so this middle-aged man resume duty, the traffic Marshall directed me to his desk.

CBP : Hello
Me: Hello sir, handed my passport and landing card to him
CBP: Why are you going to El Paso?
Me: Vacation and to have my baby (said this with all confidence, looking straight into his eyes)
CBP: To have what?
Me: my baby
CBP: OK, you are here for child birth?
Me: Yes
CBP: where will you be staying?
Me: In town suites
CBP: place your right four fingers on scanner, remove your glasses and look at the camera please
Me: I did
CBP: when is EDD
Me: in 4weeks
CBP: How much money do you have?
Me: I have paid obstetrician's fee and I have 8170 $ cash with me.
CBP: Nodded
CBP: Do you have any food ?
Me:Yes, I have got garii (paused)
CBP: What else
Me: yam flour
CBP: stamps me in for 6 months
To God be the glory, all this took less than 5minutes, he didn't even sight the money, no secondary inspection, no agric check.

BTW, I applied for the visa last year may for purpose of vacation. went with my family on vacation in august, spent a month. I conceived in September (failed fam planning method), so I decided to birth in the USA since I have a valid B2 visa. I didn't write change of intent cos i had already used the visa for its intended purpose.
PS..honesty and prayers really helped.

Chilling and waiting for my appointment this morning.

Momsomyy,
Please just re-apply, state your intentions and pray. They may just give you. If not, have your baby in Nigeria and try sometime in the future. It is well with you.

MomSomyy:

Hello @LadyGuinivere hope you good. Thank you for your contribution. As regarding your no2) I know the first part of that question might come up why I stayed 6months and what I was doing for that long (that question was asked the last time & I said to birth my baby) And yes I attended it, was after the event I stayed back in the same state and had the child. Seriously stay for one yr? Because of what? God forbid if only u knew my kind of business. Forget that income to go suffer in America say what?

I don't remember stating that she "just sat down while doing nothing". So infer wisely before judging or commenting. I'm not up for nairaland fights too so if you reply this, i will just ignore you. Nobody made you a god over USA birthing issues so you don't know it all.

nefertitiram:

No valid reason for overstaying. If you have to overstay, you apply for an extension at least 45 days before your stay expires. Pending the outcome of the approval, you will be able to stay without being a persona non grata. Most times it takes a while to hear back from them, so by the time you get a response you may have already been back home.
As long as you have applied and paid for the extension, this gives you the liberty. Not just sitting down and doing nothing

My SIL also over stayed. Hers was for almost one year. Her baby had serious health issues so she had a valid reason for staying. She paid all her bills but she has been denied twice this year even after changing location. She had her interview in Lagos, was denied. Switched to Abj, was also denied. I hope you get this sorted out.

MomSomyy:
Hello house, great work you all are doing here I must say. Please I have an issue that requires a quick intervention. I applied for a b1/b2 visa to attend a 2weeks event and come back, and was given a b1 1 month visa (annotation) 2014 after been denied in 2013 for the same event (its yearly), got to ATL Poe and I was stamped in for 6 months as against the 2weeks I initially put in my application to stay since I was pregnant as at then (6months and VO was not aware) and was stamped in for 6months, I decided to stay back and have the baby there after the said event. I paid all my bills in full got my zero balances to show. Got back to Nig, waited for a year and now reapplied last week hoping to renew my visa b1/b2 visit visa. Getting to the interview the VO asked couple of questions which to the best of my knowledge I answered truthfully (no current pregnancy related questions, although I am currently pregnant and plan to birth the baby there) after the interview I was denied 214b. Now I urgently want to reapply because I want to birth my second baby there. How do I go about it please? Also my child has been really sick, sheduled an appointment with his pediatrician successfully. Should I just reapply saying I am taking him for medical reason or just apply saying I want to go birth my second baby? (Hoping the change in travel intent does not disqualify me) Or just reapply and stick to the same travel intent I was just denied of? Please house help as I don't want to be denied again please and also don't want to appear so desperate to the VO (considering I was just denied last week). Thank you house. Quick response please because I am currently 30weeks gone (with a small bump tho) grin
