Mine was gen that blew the power area inside. I had a friend's router that his router mother board was bad, so router useless. So i opened the two, i took the power board from the one with damaged mother board and replaced with my bad power board and it came back to life. The mother board is the main router, so i still had all my settings in place. I just kuku started using the new router starlink sent to do mesh

Woooow! That's a loophole you just revealed. Both the old and the replacement will still work with one single account payment It will surprise me if starlink let's this happen permanently for these replacement cases.

Starlink once sent me a replacement router and I'm still using the old router because i repaired the power problem that spoiled in it before that warranted a replacement. I'm using the new one as Mesh to extend network around house. But routers are different from dish. The dish is where the account is linked and not the router

Thanks oo. Starlink gen 3 make sense, just that one has to source for the mount from temu or Aliexpress unlike the gen 2 that has everything in the box from factory. If your gen 2 is still working perfectly, I see no reason in wanting to get the gen 3.

Not in a rush. I've gen 2 and 2 extra routers making it 3 routers. So even if one spoils it'll be replaced except the main dish spoils. I get 300-460+mpbs and very ok with it. I was only curious how people got their free replacement
