HeavenlyBang: Damn, I don't think anyone else is making 24v in these capacities. Must be on special demand only. Such size with 24v will require high amps to charge it and it's hard to get a charge controller of such. To get 4kw from sun you'll need about 200a charger, something that on 48v you'll get with simple 100a charger. That's why 48v is better for those big batteries. But there must be people who just want them like that and he will give them what they want. |

If you are going to now stay at Lagos, yes, absolutely do that. Cancel before next sub date. You can't activate starlink in Lagos now. Try embracing mtn and airtel. 9ja for life |

HeavenlyBang: Maybe the Abuja house is on Band A? Nope... It's confirmed to be on band B. It could also be that that nepa meters cheat on us. Why no one thinking this is possible? If meters at filling stations cheat, mtn and other mobile networks cheat on what they call 1gb, why can't NEPA be cheating too. This is Nigeria oh |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ask4bk(m): 10:41am On May 06, 2025 |
Guys please here me out.
I've been completely off grid for a long while now. Now I connected a coulomb meter to my solar setup to see how much I consume. In 4 months I've used 880kw. That's 220kw per month. Let's do small maths: If I'm on band A charged at N206/kw that's 220x206 = N45,320 I've to pay in a month to nepa supposing I've the 24/7 electricity that my offgrid solar gives me. If I'm on band B at N65/kw that's 65x220= N14,300
Now, I've another house at Abuja that uses less electricity than this offgrid home. In fact, we put on NEPA for only 2 hours every day to carry a load of about 300wh. Yet we load electricity of 15k and barely finishes the month. In Abuja, average homes that just use light, TV, charge phones, fridge and fans (no AC) use nepa cards of over 25k in a month.
Is there a configuration corruption in the way NEPA read their units or kw? Why will my offgrid solar give me a value of 14k per month with 24/7 electricity but NEPA with only 10 hours per day and some days without light, will need electricity card of about 30k to have light?
What's wrong? |

Oem18: Not everyone installs it by themselves, and how can an average user adjust it once installed on a roof.
To some it is worth it to others itsnt Any user that can climb roof and install gen2 himself will find it easy to install gen3 with the manual adjustment. Any user who can't install gen2 and needs someone to do it for him, will still need someone to help him install gen3. You made it seem as if gen3 is harder and that some who could install gen2 themselves may not be able to install gen3 coz of the manual adjustment. That's false. This still proves that the marketing price of over 50k+ on the gen2 isn't logical in any sense. It's not my business sha. God bless the hustle of those selling them. |

Phones › Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ask4bk(m): 10:13pm On May 02, 2025 |
ibietela2: Interesting No mind am. You will still need to position it right only that you'll do it manually using the app helping you to move left and right, something that was automatic in the former version. It's a downgrade. Just that gen 3 will be the standard and if you remain with gen 2 you won't be able to get it's part after few years. Everyone will eventually be forced to switch |

Despite all of this gets same data download as the old one. Doesn't look like an upgrade apart from the fact that it now comes with Ethernet ports |

mrvitalis: Some people are just ignorant
I am from mbaise and I know this story very well
1) a Bishop every 3 years submit 3 names to pope for his possible replacement 2) mbaise Bishop dies out of over 90 names he submitted during his time as Bishop... None was picked 3) cardinal Arinze picked someone from his place... Note awka has 300 priest and has produced 5 Bishops ... Mbaise has 800 priest and hasn't produced a Bishop
4) mbaise people rejected saying no to Bishop from. Awka.... Later accepted a Bishop from. Umuahia then later and mbaise Bishop was appointed
Mbaise didn't reject him because he is not mbaise no... The rejected him because 1) it didn't follow the rule 2) they suspected foul play from. Cardinal Arinze
And when Pope Francis heard the real story okpalake reigned to save face
That's the Igbo spirit... We told the 1.4 Catholics we can never accept injustice and the we didn't until the right thing was done
If you want to spin it go ahead Don't you feel shame typing what you just said? We didn't reject him.... (later) we rejected him... Shame is a good thing to have. It helps you avoid embarrassment. If you see the new cardinal today, can you proudly greet and hug him since you said your problem wasn't with him but with another person? I guess not. Your hearts are filled with hatred till today for that man who did nothing to you guys. His only crime was his identity. Tufiakwaunu |

macuwon: please i have two residential starlink devices tied to my address. Now i want to upgrade one of them so i can cater for about 200 users. I am looking at going for the business plans but from my little research, i read that i'll need to order for a new device to use the business plan.
But the issue is when i go to their order page, its saying i should join the waiting list that service is currently at capacity in my area. what does this mean and what can i do as alternative? Thanks Why would you need a business plan when you are already on an unlimited residential plan? If your need is to cater for 200 persons, just get the Ethernet adapter and a good access point and your residential plan will serve them well adequately. |
