Hello experts in the house, great jobs you are doing here. Please, I need your advice regarding skill assessment with vetasses. I am professional journalist with about 15 years experience and I want to assess for Print Journalist (ANZSCO 212413), I have been been practicing journalism here in Nigeria over the past 15 years. However, my concern is about qualifications and how that may affect my assessment. I got my HND in 2010 (part-time) and based on the years of experience, I was able to do a direct Masters in Lasu (part-time) and finished 2022. What's my chance of getting positive assessment with these quifications? Will my years of experience before the Masters count? Thank you all as Iook forward to your responses. |
You are absolutely correct! This is the position we usually found ourselves, especially with Super Eagles, thank God for this Team, no need for calculator. kgr8mike: |
Really? I also got the form and did a print out but I didnt see where it is stated that you should come and submit it on campus. I only read that you go along with the printed form on the day of the entrance examination. Have you gone to submit yours? temiyato: |
Sorry, its N21,300, not the other way round. Meanwhile, you dont need to get to Lasu before you obtain, fill and submit the form, except you want to go and make other findings. babyoy: |
Lasu Postgraduate application opened in first week of May and according to the advert, it closes 4 weeks after, which means by first week in June it will close, not sure if they do extend. You pay N23,100 to access, fill and submit the form online. The payment is also online, using your ATM card. Check the lasu website for details on the application. |
But we were told "GEJ was the best President Nigeria ever had" Why cant PDP use him again to launch a come back? His 'goodwill' and 'integrity' are enough. |
In view of his loud silence during the past few days of ministerial screening, Nigerians have given the immediate past SP a new title
|
From all the revelations coming out after the exit of the former President, one thing is now clear: Jonathan doesn't read or he is a lazy reader. Many Nigerians are suffering from same disease and that is so conspicuous in different online forums where people just comment without reading a post of after reading only the headline. Who knows how many National documents Jonathan had signed without even reading the content? Its very unfortunate! |
Positions still vacant, serious minded applicant should send their CV and expect invitation for interview this week. |
Husband suing his wife for £13,000 for inflicting 'psychological suffering' Told court in Algiers he mistook her for a thief morning after their wedding Said he was 'deceived' by heavy make-up and 'frightened' when he saw her By Jack Crone for MailOnline He may have agreed to take her for better and for worse, but for one Algerian groom, seeing his new wife without make-up was a step too far. The husband was so shocked after seeing his bride's face the morning after their wedding that he failed to even recognise her. He even accused her of being a thief that had broken into his house. After realising it was in fact the woman he had married only yesterday, he decided to take her to court - accusing her inflicting 'psychological suffering' by 'cheating' him with her make-up. The groom is now seeking $20,000 (£13,000) damages. Newspapers in the North African Arab country said the groom swore in court that he even mistook his wife for a 'thief who came to steal his apartment', Emirates 24/7 reports. 'He said he was deceived by her as she used to fill up her face with make up before their marriage,' the papers said, quoting a court source. 'He said she looked very beautiful and attractive before marriage, but when he woke up in the morning and found that she had washed the make-up off her face, he was frightened as he thought she was a thief. I think Punch was just being mischievous, looking for big names that will sell. In the list of debtors published by Diamond Bank in the same Punch, 'Hon. Abike Dabiri' was listed as one of the seven (7)directors of the company that owes. Her name was not even the first on the list of the company's directors. Probably she was appointed as a non-executive director just for her name and now she has been tagged as the debtor. Anyway, we await her actions and how she is going to clear herself. |

However, anyone that has done pgd clearance can give us a better clarification. |

Mogidi:Obviously, you only read the headline, you didnt read the story. What Obasanjo said in the interview when asked why he tore his card was that he didnt tear it by himself, he gave it to the ward Chairman and told him to do whatever he liked with it. |
With a few days to Nigeria’s presidential polls, an online news agency, Empowered Newswire, is reporting that the Federal Government may be on the cusp of announcing the release of 219 Chibok schoolgirls abducted April 14, 2014 in a final dramatic push to sway voters to support incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan. by Empowered Newswire Mar 24, 2015 37 29 1 With a few days to Nigeria’s presidential polls, an online news agency, Empowered Newswire, is reporting that the Federal Government may be on the cusp of announcing the release of 219 Chibok schoolgirls abducted April 14, 2014 in a final dramatic push to sway voters to support incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan. Logo of the PDP The newswire service reported that its sources in Abuja disclosed that the surprise rescue of the schoolgirls, whose abduction a year ago sparked global outrage, “is meant to swing the electioneering tide of things in favor of PDP’s presidential candidate and incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan who faces a stiff opposition in Saturday’s election against his APC contender, General Muhammadu Buhari.” Newswire stated that the “pre-arranged” release of the kidnapped schoolgirls was seen as a winner. Empowered Newswire stated that the Jonathan administration and PDP had been considering a variety of strategies to ensure that Mr. Jonathan is reelected, or at least to thwart the electoral triumph of Mr. Buhari. According to the site, one option the president and his party have considered is “the idea of an Interim National Government.” Citing sources close to the military, Newswire reported that “there is a buzz in military circles that sometimes during the week, the military may announce the release of the girls.” The newswire added that the leaders of the BringBackOurGirls campaign were aware of the development “as they confirm[ed] that words have been sent to the parents of the girls located in Borno, Kano and Kaduna states that they should be prepared to identify their children and wards sometimes this week. It is in fact believed that the parents might be asked to report in Abuja to facilitate the identification of the girls.” According to Empowered newswire, some of the leaders of the movement for the girls’ rescue said they would rejoice if the girls return, but added that such suspicious timing of the girls’ release would indicate “the wickedness of our government.” The news service quoted some political observers as questioning the government’s reported plan to use the fate of the girls for political advantage. “The argument is that if the release of the girls is being planned that might suggest foul play somewhere,” stated the website, adding that its US sources were skeptical about the speculated plan. Even so, Newswire quoted a BringBackOurGirls official as declaring that, if the government planned to announce the release of the girls in order to bolster the president’s electoral prospects, “that would amount to… the worst form of aggrandizement. And it is God Himself that will punish such wickedness on the part of some of our government officials.” The website added that there were also unconfirmed claims that the Federal Government would announce a salary increase sometime this week as another measure to build a political momentum for the PDP in the presidential and national polls. Newswire noted that several Federal Government agencies were already behind in the payment of workers’ salaries. Newswire reported that President Jonathan’s threat late last week to arrest those talking about an interim government seemed to put the final lid on that idea. It noted the president’s spokesman, Reuben Abati, had mentioned the idea in a public statement where he claimed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo wanted to be the head of an interim government. Newswire reported that President Jonathan, the PDP and their political allies were “yet to perceive a water-tight strategy to win Saturday’s election regardless of some of the public show of bravery.” It added: “Besides, even the party Chairman last week ruled out a landslide, in what observers say is a revelation of real fears and worry within the ruling party circles and Aso Rock.” In the report, Empowered Newswire linked last week’s violent protests in Lagos by the Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) demanding the removal of Attahiru Jega, the chairman of Nigeria’s electoral commission, as “indicative of the fact that PDP is still very unsure how the elections would end up on Saturday. It is believed that PDP and friends of the president are behind those OPC protests in Lagos where the protesters were displaying different weapons.” Newswire reported that international sources were confident that Mr. Jonathan would respect the results of the election, adding, however, “many hawks around the president have been identified as those responsible for developing ideas on how to ensure a decent way to rig the election or just prevent Buhari from becoming president.” Source: http://saharareporters.com/2015/03/24/pdp-fine-tunes-strategy-win-polls-fg-may-soon-announce-rescue-chibok-girls-empowered |
One of our Presidents speaking. If there is nothing incriminating in the report, why would you be scared of what the opposition would do with it? Besides, this is not about political party or politics, it is about Nigerians and the people deserve to know how their money is being spent. |
Home News President Goodluck Jonathan said he underestimated Boko Haram Islamists who have overrun swathes of the country’s northeast and defended an election postponement in an interview published Sunday. President Jonathan President Jonathan Jonathan, facing a tight re-election bid against ex-military ruler Muhammadu Buhari, has faced criticism over the vote delay, which critics argue was designed to give him time to shore up his campaign. The military pushed for the six-week delay eventually granted by the electoral commission to allow it to secure the country for the vote, though Boko Haram’s insurgency has raged for six years. Presidential and parliamentary elections are now set for March 28. “Probably at the beginning, we, and I mean myself and the team, we underrated the capacity of Boko Haram,” Jonathan said in an interview with influential newspaper ThisDay. He said that the military has recently acquired more arms and ammunition to do battle with the Islamists, vowing that their suppression and the capture of the group’s leader were near. “God willing, we will catch (Abubakar) Shekau before the elections,” he said. Asked why six more weeks would make a difference in the years-long conflict that has killed more than 13,000 people, Jonathan said the military could make reasonable progress in that time. “We are not saying we must finish Boko Haram to conduct elections, but we should get to a point where they will not cause havoc if they make an attempt,” he said in the interview. “My belief is that by 28th of next month, when the elections will be conducted, Boko Haram may not even be in a position to attack any town, God willing.” Nigeria‘s military authorities on Saturday claimed to have recaptured the fishing town of Baga from the Islamists, more than a month after it was overrun in what is feared to be the worst massacre of the six-year insurgency. There was no independent corroboration of the claim, as thousands of Baga residents had fled the town after Boko Haram attacked on January 3 and hundreds, if not more, were killed in the following days. Over one million people have been left homeless since 2009 as the rebels try to carve out an Islamic state in northeasternNigeria. The Islamists have recently extended their violent campaign into nations neighbouring Nigeria‘s northeast as regional forces pursue them. ollyboy009:Please Note, this not GNLD, (however, if GNLD people come here to steal people's mail addresses is another issue). We are a reputable company and as said in the post, it is only one position. It is because of this kind of situation that the company decided not to publish its e-mail here, but rather asked that people drop their mail. From the many e-mail addresses here, only a few will get e-mail to send their CV, and from those, only one person will be selected. I will advise that no need for people to drop e-mail address anymore, we have enough here already to select from. Thanks. |
Benjom:Sorry, thats the company's policy. We dont want to be bombarded by thousands of e-mails, when we need just only one person. Whoever drops e-mail here gets the e-mail address which she can send the CV to. Thanks. |
