bidexiii: Italian Priest Father Pierluigi Maccalli of African Missionary Society Kidnapped by jihadists in Bomoanga Niger Republique in 2018 and Nicola Ciacco another Italian appeared in a short clip released by jihadists to show proof of life. There mostly used for patrol not much they can do in this type of environment while fighting a gorilla insurgency besides act like pumped up MRAPS. What are they gonna do shell the hell out of the forest and desert via horizontal blasts? Nigerian army already uses a lot of different artillery so whats the point. At least that's my educated guess.

rvp20182: I never understood why people would be proud that their citizens were out there as doctors, nurses, etc. The skills they badly need. I only see this in Ghana and Nigeria.
I think west Africans need a change in mindset.
You take on average maybe 25-30yrs to train a doctor - and if you're going to send them all over the world - then you've lost it.
Education is very expensive. Kenya maybe spend 30% of it's budget on it. That is like 5B dollars annually. 25 years...you're spend 100B dollars. If the money was invested to build roads and railways - we would be so far ahead - but we know ignorance is more expensive. But if we spend 100B dollars to train manpower for other countries - we would be so damned.
This is what is ailing west Africa...BRAIN DRAIN since 15th century.

kabe1: Idriss Deby reveals: Nigeria supports Chadian forces in routing Boko Haram.
President Idriss Déby of Chad has revealed that the Nigerian government supported his country’s military onslaught against Boko Haram.
Deby who has relocated from Ndjamena to Boga Sola in the Lac Region said Nigeria provided ‘fairly substantial equipment’, in support of Operation Anger of Bohoma..

Let some Nigerians continue to delude themselves into thinking Chad is "saving" Nigeria. How the numerous Haters of Nigeria, Terrorist supporters, and gullible ret@ards that are abundant on this topic reacted upon reading this news.

Whyem15: As far as I know, majority if the weapons that has been delivered to Nigeria are either from Russia, belarus, ukraine, Czech, or China. We've paid for some other weapons that the countries are finding it hard to deliver...... JF17 Now that most people have agreed that the US doesn't seem to want us to get weapons and that we can get from other powerful countries like china and russia like we've done with the drones MRAPs and helicopters. If US is serious about weapons not reaching us, it won't reach us. At least those weapons won't just appear in Nigeria. I recently mentioned a case that some of us here know about pakistan wanting to deliver weapons to nigeria, and the C130 was intercepted in saudi airspace and forced to land in a saudi airport. The cargo was siezed and nothing has been said about it till today. I have been searching all over the net for news about it to no avail and would appreciate if anyone can provide a link. That being said, I agree that our political class are corrupt and inept and even without foreign weapons, we should have fully defeated bokoharam a long time ago though it will be tough and cost a lot of lives. Westerners ARE NOT & NEVER will be our friends. The sooner Nigerians accept this the better off will be. |

GabrielYulaw: Hmmm. Have you looked at Algeria? They have more Russian and Soviet weaponry than you or I have ever heard of, from the T-90 to Kilo submarines. I am not hearing about any sanctions against them. And the Americans you are talking about recently purchased Russian helicopters for the Afghanistan government.
Even if Russian arms are denied us, Italy, Britain, Switzerland, Finland, Turkey, South Africa, Sudan and so many other countries also sell arms. Is the US going to sanction us for buying arms from Italy? YES, yes they will and you have to be a gullible slowpoke not to know so and none of those countries listed are allies to Nigeria or the aboriginal people of Africa in General |

RussianKGB: Very true. I mean see the success achieved by the Tchadians in less than a week after they were hit hard by those bastards and they feed you with video and picture proof. The Nigerian side on the other hand is used to giving complaints and excuses and yet records losses over and over like a broken record and yet 10 years after with lots of our vibrant, gallant young men&women KIA plus billions of dollars spent on this yahoo war, there's nothing tangible to show for it. Tchad did what Nigeria does normally nothing special. You don't here about it because its not newsworthy or fits the narrative. Bad news is more sensational than good news especially when it comes to Nigeria. |

Can l add, we are in a desperate war our infrastructure and capacity is dire. We need assets like yesterday, here and very desperate NOW.
Then someone decides to spend $600 million on 12 turbo props modified upgraded aircraft that will not arrive in completion until 2024.
I don't like using vitriolic rhetoric and acidic abusive diction to get my point across. But l am tempted here. In order to describe this incomprehensible bewildering crass ineptitude.
But I will not.
What kind of leaders do we have.

kabe1: France is still fighting terrorism with us in West-Africa, it has been 7 years already.
America has been fighting terrorism in Somalia since 1993.
Because Chad killed 20 Boko-Haram and uncovered arms, ignorant Nigerians are using it as an opportunity to talk arrant nonsense.
Forgetting that the Nigerian military does this everyday. Hating on everything and anything related to Nigeria is just the cool thing to do especially by surrounding underdogs with nothing significant going for themselves |
