Gbawe: I agree with you. The figures are as they were submitted in the petition presented to the Senate by the leaders of the the oil-producing communities. They may indeed have 'embellished' a bit but the Senate should be able to verify and comment on the figures touted. Noteworthy that the Senate did not immediately query the figures submitted but they still left the door open as per the veracity of the claims from the community leaders : "We have seen the petition and if it is true, you definitely have a case".
