vozkini: My brother had his interview today at usa embassy. The same mexicn chubby guy@window 3 denied him visa. I learnt he denies people visa anyhow. Without even looking at your ds-160 information or whtsoever. His interest in only on denying people visa at will. Bothe young and old. He even states that the policemen outside the embassy said that the guy is wicked and doesn't even has interest of giving visa to africans at heart. He was asked the following.
Where are you going to in the usa, how long are you stying, what's your purpose? How much is he earning? What's his position there? Then sowi bla bla with a paper.

Sorry for your brothers denial, please which US embassy is that ? Abuja or lagos ?

holluwai: Hi all, I was at the american embassy today in lagos. I was denied by this guy at the window5. He was just mean and messed with people. He denied over 90% of people he interviewed(I wish I had the power to choose who my interviewer would be). Thanks everyone,I was prepared but he didnt let me express myself before he cut me short and told me the sorry you are not eligible line and then passed me the sheet of paper.

So sorry holluwai, God knows the best....please can you share with the house how the interview went and the experience, again what is your personal profile like
God bless you

tzetzefly:

Being your first time as a traveller, your chances looks slim. You will need to prove to the VO that you're a genuine traveller who wishes to depart the US on expiration of your visit.

It is not compulsory you know someone in the US before going for vacation. Previous holiday experience abroad, only helps to sway the CO's decision in your favour.

Since you've paid for appointment, give it a try. Best of luck...

Thanks tzetzefly, what about my monthly income, do u think is ok for someone who wants to travel outside Nigeria for a vacation
Travel / Re: Usa Visit Visa by Asorock1: 8:41am On May 14, 2013
please tzetzefly and everyone in the house, just like I said, my interview comes up June at US embassy abuja...I want to know if it sounds genuine that I'm going for tourism but don't have anyone there not even a friend, but i already booked for a hotel reservation, if u are the VO will u believe I do go to a place I don't know anybody for vacation more especially as this will be my first time to travel outside Nigeria
Secondly, my salary is #145000...Would they consider this amount low income or good enough Though I have about 1.4m in savings account
I'm 31, married with a kid, working for 6 years n 3 months now as a sales supervisor with a distribution company.
What r my chances God bless you

No special days at the embassy, you only need to show a calm and confident approach during your interview. Best of luck. ....

Thanks tzetzefly

Why did you not indicate your secondary school, was it an oversight or a deliberate act?

The essence of filling this form is to have your detailed biography and consistency in future applications. If it wont be a problem to you, fill another form and show all necessary details about yourself.....

It wasn't a deliberate act honestly, I already submitted the form n was going through it when I read the question again, but then I asked my boss who has been to US and he told me that it doesn't matter, yet I wasn't satisfy so I decided to seek the opinion of the house...in your opinion I should refill another form right ?
Travel / Re: Usa Visit Visa by Asorock1: 12:06pm On Apr 29, 2013
@tzetzefly thanks for the prompt reply and the good work, it means I don't need to refill another ds160 form right Again at the educational history, I only filled the university I attended without including secondary school, hope it doesn't matter as well
Thanks more advice are welcome
God bless

suxes 2005,tzetzefly and gbenge 77 and everyone in the house i need your advice on this please.
I already filled and submitted my ds160 form for a B2 tourist visa and I'm waiting for an available slot on June for my interview....but what bothers me is my ds160 form.
At the space where they asked the locations I will be visiting in the state, I just stated Chicago, IL, is this ok?? or do I need to state the places in Chicago where the tourist attractions I will be visiting are?? Please note I already submitted my signed ds160 form. Does this have any negative effect on my chance for a visa approval or do i need to fill another form
Please urgent reply is needed
God bless you

Is there any reason why you prefer abuja embassy.

According to research n past experience by some of my friends n colleagues that have been to US visa interview ,they confirmed Abuja consulate to be more organized than lagos consulate.

She just gave me a piece of paper for my denial, I am married with 2 kids and I am supposed to represent my family at my uncles wedding, I went with all my docs but non was checked. It was the lagos embassy[/quote

Well I do prefer Abuja consulate than lagos , again i believe it all depends on 3 things to get a US visa: God, favor and the type of VO u meet.
There are people who have made a much bigger mistake than yours but yet got there visa approved. Well you can only live with the things you cannot change but change that which u can change. Wait for another time. Please house your prayers are highly needed as I will be having my interview soon.
God bless you

Obiagelli: Went 4 the interview today
V/o can I have ur application
Me: gave her
V/o : where are u visiting
Me: California
V/o: reason for travel
Me: to attend my uncles wedding
V/o: how long has been he been in the us
Me: 14yrs
V/o: how old his he
Me: I forgot to ask his age( I said 37)
V/o: have u travelled outside Nigeria
Me: no
V/o: sorry u do not qualify for a visa now.

I noticed to many people were denied was it because it was Monday.

Sorry Obiagelli for the disappointment, I don't think is because of the date, didnt she tell you your reason for denial?
Again which US embassy did u go for the interview?
What is your profile....like married, age, documents you went with, and your ties to Nigeria
Tell the house maybe we can sort out your reason for denial.
Again in everything give thanks go God.

@Gbenga thanks so much, I so much appreciate, please what about the place of interview, do u think the ABUJA consulate will give me a better chance than Lagos?
Travel / Re: Usa Visit Visa by Asorock1: 9:47am On Mar 27, 2013
@Gbenga thanks so much for the reply...I still have some more concerns like I said my salary is not being paid into the account directly by the company, is been paid by the accountant in the company directly to us then we can go pay into our respective account, I heard that the statement of account must show income from a verifiable source, do u think this is going to pose any problem? Again is the bank statement of acc usually checked by the CO?
Is my monthly income good for a tourist
I don't have any asset but I have my personal car
Again I want to go to Abuja embassy rather than Lagos what's my chances there. I will be filling the ds form anytime this week ....Please advice thank u once again God bless
