To go for a conference at US won't that be seen as irregularity in application , remember on the first US application I applied for tourism and sightseeing , now if I change my purpose of visit to US to conference won't that affect me negatively, again can I apply for a conference or business visa immediately at any of the shengen embassy that offers an opportunity for an interview like Germany anytime , I wish to go to Europe before November and return to apply for Christmas holiday in US. Try to understand me

Your application is not problematic, but to be on a safe side so as not to have a mistaken identity possibly with someone with forged documents who may have been banned, i suggest you send them a message with your Visa Application Reference Number, Your Passport Number, Name and Date of Birth and the Mistake made as your message body.

I must tell you your application documents will secure visa for you in any major embassy. The only issue that worked against you, was your lack of travel history and visa stamps(stickers)in your passport. Forget the Dubai entry / exit stamps on your passport, it never works like that for the Schengen visa procedure.

If i had known you were planning to submit your application at the France Embassy, i would have advised you otherwise. You only just took vacation to Dubai this year and this is reflected on your passport and you also want another vacation in France. This smells like migration to any ECO.

Your job in the eyes of the ECO will never permit you to embark on two Leave of Absence from work. It is never done anywhere in the world. The only acceptable format is an accumulated Leave which can be taken three months at a stretch or more (possible across Europe and North America) and i doubt if this is possible in Nigeria.

The only way your application could have passed, was if your intended reason for travel was for Conference / Training or a Course to develop yourself at work.

Stay away from any Schengen, Uk, Canadian & US, Embassy / Diplomatic or High Commission till next year. And this time around,try to apply for a conference on Global Marketing Strategy or Business Consultation/ Development. This can be of immense help in your job related activities.

I want to ask, since is only a stamp and not visa sticker that Dubai and Ghana gives , how and why would the consular officer conclude that I already went for a vacation? Since there is no visa to indicate whether it was tourist or business visa, I could have been to Dubai and Ghana for any other official purpose( business or conference) and then decide to go to france for my annual leave proper... I could have been given the opportunity to explain that, had it been it was an interview.

Please I still want to know what to do as I wish to be in US this Christmas.

Remember you only know that I went to Dubai for vacation because i did tell you and the house, i didn't want to lie, if you have seen the stamp on my passport without me telling you the reason to have been there you will not know, same with the consular officer , my employer understands what I'm doing and have given me that opportunity to use my one month annual leave twice, that's why i spent just a week in dubai then ghana trip was a church program, my employer is more of a friend than boss to me. And he is willing to help me too.

So sorry for your denial , I don't think your age got anything to do with your rejection, do you have a travel history ?
Again what is your position at the place of your work and your income ? Does your monthly income reflect in your statement of account, though I can say there are other things those guys looks at which we don't know , I also applied for a France visiting visa , my instruction date starts from 20th of sept. I also submitted all those documents which you listed here except land ownership even though I got lands. Then I submitted my work ID card and my statement of account reflects the income stated on my employment introduction letter, I am 31 , married , I submitted my child's NPC birth certificate. My leave letter, then I prayed, being positive helps too, I also have a travel history , having been to 2 countries Dubai and Ghana . I think you shouldn't have involved your cousins visa. After my biometrics , I engaged with a brief conversation with the lady there and she told me that why people are rejected visiting visa is mostly because of the time frame, if the time your visa is suppose to be ready is too close or later than your arrival date in France , that could warrant a denial, mine is 20 days to departure here in Nigeria. So I'm very much positive about my visa. Try again but this time alone. Good luck and same with me.

I'm not booking a flight yet, one of the required documents for the France visa is a confirmed flight reservation, the reservation doesn't mean I already paid ok, beside France visa process doesn't require an interview, sorry I know this forum is not for France visa.

blawi1: By October all the summer vacations demands of d embassies would be over so you could get your schengen visa within 10 days. But remember unless you wanna apply for d US visa independent of d schengen, the timing may not work for you.

blawi1: @ asorock, apply for d schengen visa anyways. The delay in visa procurement is due to demand for summer vacation visas that is why it's taking so long otherwise the normal wait time for french schengen visa is 10 days after finger-printing.
For 1st time schegen visas, your visa covers your travel dates only give or take a few days eg you apply for 5 days schengen you get 1 wk or if you're lucky then you get 2wks. And they can post date it to your intended date of travel. Eg you apply to travel in august against Nov 1 you may get ur visa anytime b4 then but the start date of d visa will be Nov 1 - Nov 10 2013.
Now based on this info, you may or maynot be able to tie your France trip to your US trip @ Christmas.
So you either book for your US visa interview AFTER your return trip from France, or apply for your interview for anytime in November knowing the visa would be in d passport even if you haven't travelled yet. I hope this helps.

Now if I happen to have the Shengen visa on my passport while applying for US visa, do you think this will help boost my chance to get the US visa with Dubai and Ghana trip each once. Like I said my application was rejected early June cos of virgin passport.
Secondly, I can't travel to France by November then return to immediately apply for US visa same November against Christmas holiday, don't you think that the VO might see it as lack of family ties and as I'm married with a kid, furthermore is there possibility of applying for the france visa by first week of September to tie both US and Paris Christmas As the vsf site says not to apply more than 3 months to travel date

Hi tzetzefly and other gurus in the house, want to use this opportunity to thank you for your effort and contributions to this wonderful forum and pray that the almight God continue to bless you and shower you with his mercies...I want you to please clearify me on this, I was refused a US visiting visa on jun this year on the ground that I have no travel history now I went for tourism to dubai on a week trip early last month and planning to go to Ghana anytime this week, my intention is to also apply for france Shengen visa, by the end of August to travel by October and return back then reapply for US visa again by November to travel for Christmas holiday.
After calling the VSF center for enquiry on how to go about the France visa, I was told that if I apply by late August that my visa will be ready by the end of November and it means I have to travel to France by December instead of October as planned; now my questions are;
- How do I go about this ?
- Will dubai and Ghana stamps with a valid Shengen visa boost my chance for a US tourist visiting visa if I apply by November without traveling already to France?
- what type of visa will I apply at US embassy this time if my reason for traveling tends to be to connect from France to US , or US to France for Christmas ? 5 days in France and 5 days in US then back to Nigeria.

Me : good thing the system is back( cos they were having some connection problem this morning and some people were asked to return back next week or tomorrow)

ME: No for every individual there is usually a first time

What does this consular officers mean, if every country starts to behave like them, then no one will issue visa to a virgin passport. Well I'm still in Abuja and I'm considering a Shengen visa , I will be going to Germany or Sweden.

Hello Tzetzefly and other gurus in the house, I still remain my humble self, please there is a recent development in my case, I have everything set n ready for my B2 visa interview on Tuesday June 11@ Abuja , but I got a little problem cos the hotel I filled as my place of stay in the state is not the one I finally made a reservation with, cos they just informed me that they don't have a block or room for the 14 days I intend to stay. Is this ok to just leave my form the way it is and explain this to the VO at the interview or to refill another form If I should leave it that way, what will be my answer when the question " where are you gonna stay" arises

You need to have a reasonable amount in your account to convince the CO you're a genuine traveller. A self sponsored traveller for pleasure purpose have little convincing to do before the CO, than for an adult being sponsored as a tourist by a third party.

Save enough funds and plan towards your objective...
