newguy1: party man or not to know the true reflection of what he achieve ask the people from his mandate not what you are writing on bills n reform? How well as it translate on the street? Are people from his mandate having free health care that he so much want to champion? These senators collect constituency allowances more that they does nothing with. The words I was privileged to from people around is mad-ante that even he doesn’t even care if he was returned to office. Bro he fact is he fell short. I am from Offa local govt from kwara n Lola ashiru rep mine LGA he got his mandate back, when I ask people did he work ! D reply I got was sound loud that he his a true Omoluabi, and is what I call word on the street ok. |

newguy1: you said he achieved his mandate? If he his a medical tutelage n wants only responsible on health he should have gone for appointment on that field but as a senator u are suppose to be versed n find n equilibrium in the needs of ur constituency. If he did do well yl did he came in 3rd in is re-election n pls don’t tell me it politic but that same politics got him there which was suppose to give him added advantage against his other competitors. Mr. Man, I am not from Kwara and care not why he was not re-elected. My point remains, that he went to the senate with an agenda and achieved it. It is a pity that we are a people of stomach infrastructure and little knowledge of governnace. You want a senator to build roads, build schools, etc. Yes, some do it, but is that their primary responsibility? If he wasn't a good party man, that is another issue entirely. Oloriegbe went to the Senate and made his mark as far as medical and healthcare legislation is concerned. History will be kind to him. |
Politics › Re: Senator Oloriegbe, Who Defeated Bukola Saraki In 2019 Fails To Get Return Ticket by aspabay(m): 10:21am On Jun 01, 2022 |
newguy1: bravo so he was sent to the senate as d health care senator Health care Senator? What does that even mean. Senators are elected to make/review/repeal laws of the country. He is a healthcare professional, he went to the senate with an agenda to work on healthcare laws/bills. And I will say he achieved that. By the law, Saraki a medical doctor could not do anything to improve healthcare in Nigeria by enacting adequate legislation. |

Sad about the loss of Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe. Sen. Oloriegbe worked on several health bills. - NHIS act which has been passed - substance abuse and mental health bill - psychiatric hospital amendment bill - Repeal of the 1988 MDCN act - Maternal and perinatal death bill
He got his state 2 tertiary health facilities - Neuropsychiatric Hospital and the Orthopaedic Hospital in Kwara. His bills on healthcare are unmatched. He took healthcare reforms personal... (fimiletoks 2022)
I wish him well.
He performed 100% better thank Saraki and all those before him. Even among his peers, he towers high. |
