It appears you have not read my comments properly, the issue is not whether I've been shot at or not.

just trying to get the forums opinion on the above issue as it appears to be the issue of day in Nigeria, is the so called proposed electoral reform  likely to ensure Nigerians get the leaders they actually want in power?.

is it likely to guarantee the leaders voted in are the ones the people want ? is it likely to  reduce the PDP stronghold taking into account that PDP nominates it owns candidates?.

The arguments i have heard are that the opposition is weak and completely divided and as such can not pull enough votes individually to gain power.

So is this to say the FG Government to date does not have an existing blue print, for it to now have to be adopting the Lagos blue print after two years what a shame.

i would believe the 2020 vision would have been an all state encompassing approach, with all states being jointly aligned to the achievement of the Objective, it appears to me the FG does not really know what its doing.
The shame of it all is if they don't have a clue all they need to do is ask other countries how they have achieved such objectives.

I agree with you, the Guy is nothing but a Hypocrite, its best to ignore his kind, its obvious he saying all that for publicity for his Magazine.

I have seen all kinds of comments blaming all other people than the Driver, this is a very Sad incident however what the driver did is inexcusable and in my opinion he should go to Jail. how could he run over 19 people all in the hope of escaping armed robbers !!!!!. even if he thought they were barriers why did he not stop and abandon his Vehicle.

Yes the Government and poilice are at fault for all the obvious reasons however this incident could have been avoided if the driver showed more Care, The driver's owe a duty of care to members of the public he completely failed in this duty.

He should be put before the courts over this incident, failure to do this sends out the message that it is OK to kill as many people as you like in order to preserve your own, i think this is a bad precedent to set as it will only lead to more deaths under similar circumstances.

if so
2)whats the current level of Development (Site and documentation) at your sites ?

now to the issue at hand

1)Estate developer trying to rip off customers by showing them land they have not perfected title on.

2)Estate developers Collecting money for land they have no intention of developing.

3)Estate developer collecting funds which are then diverted into alternative developments (Teeming and lading i believe it called).

4)Estate developers showing Glossy plans of developments they Know they have no intention of developing.

5)Estate developers Claiming to be in partnership with banks without providing any evidence or Guarantees.

6) Estate Developers giving time lines for developments they know they can never achieve

7)all of the points mentioned by @Beknown.

i disagree with you on that last Comment he's taken up a shrewd investment that it more or less Guaranteed to give a profitable rate of return on the long run, the risk on the investment is far lower than anything he could put that money into in naija and any investment needs to be appraised on a risk and reward basis amongst other things.

I don't know if you are aware the BAA have reasonably forecasted the amount of Air traffic they are expecting to go through those airport in the next Couple of years, i don't think it gets better than that.
This beats investing a large amount in an Economy that is grossly unstable, corrupt and inefficient to say the least.

In my opinion it was quite obvious when announced that the 6000MW capacity could not be achieved, what baffles me is once this became obvious to him why he did not just come out and say it won't be achieved, instead of leading everbody on, in my opinion this undermines his integrity.

Our honorable minister next time try and be more transparent instead of trying to fool Nigerians, the sad thing is it might not even be possible to achieve the 6000MW by the end of 2010 at this rate.

Fair enough it is a federal road but was the ministry not aware of this before lagos state decided to expand it.

I would sure hope the Federal ministry does not stop the Work, as we are very much aware this will mean we can expect nothing to be done on the expressway in the next 10 years if not even longer.

The ministry should cease the opportunity to concetrate on all its other project it has failed to finish over the years instead of fighting for work it very well knows it can not do anytime soon. ie lagos- ibadan, Benin- Ore, Ota by pass just to mention a few in the west.

Thanks Ministry of Works but keep your money in the treasury, i believe lagos state has this one under there control.

That's Definitely an oversee person charge, what i have discovered is once people know you are from abroad the charges quoted tend to increase by as much as 100%- 200%, this i discovered when i was trying to buy land last October, all i can say is please kick back don't accept it, scout around for different quotes. More so get someone trusted who lives in naija to negotiate for you, please never let them know you are from abroad.

A survey for one plot of land should not cost more than 100K- 140K depending on the area, i have just done survey on Ten acres trust me i paid nothing near the price i quoted here, but that was solely because i got people in naija to negotiate on my behalf.

Government ones tend to be more expensive sha but the quality of service would be better i.e assurance all survey copies are filled at the land Bureau

i believe the issue is not with the engines but with the mechanics who do not fully understand the set up of a V Configuration engine
i have a V6 Mercedes C320 and it works very fine without problems.
my advice to all mechanics criticizing the the V Configuration, Please go back to School and receive advanced training on the V Configuration, that way you can save your clients money instead of the trial and error work a lot of you do.

we have just hit 2010, the situation could have changed either way Surely we need more recent information to get a clearer picture of the current situation, in short 2007 information would be useless for an informed opinion as at today and would be quite useless to work with as the situation could have changed either Way.

Everbody some Good points raised here,
i must say Nigerians are used to getting a free ride at the expenses of the state and then Complain when things do not get done, this kind of attitude has to change.

The Government has to raise revenue for state development from some source, the alternative would be for the state to Borrow funds (which it Does anyway) or worse still not carry out important development projects at which point people will Complain about the Government having not done what it supposed to have done.

Abroad the Tax regime is a lot stricter trust me, the penalties for not having the right car documents is a lot stiffer, this ranges from cash penalties to having you car seized and Crushed.

please if the law says carry your car documents at all times that's what you should do, that way the Lastma guys will not have a leg to stand on.

In as much as you can see the benefits of your taxes and Fines you should be happy and pay and not complain. i must say this is noticeable to a degree in Lagos state, However on the other hand there is still a lot more that can be done.
