Who would have thought that the statements above were made about people who lived under thesame roof and were raised by thesame "parent"? Why the difference, and what's the secret? What made Samuel escape the corruption in the House of Eli? It's solid biblical education and responsible parental upbringing. As strong as the corruption in the house of Eli was, it was NOT strong enough to knock-off the intentional parental investment that Hannah had made on Samuel during his brief stay with her. There is a height in parental upbringing where corruption can't thrive. Godly (not religious), intentional, and responsible parenting is still a major answer to the many evils flourishing in our society today. Let's get back at our duty, folks!

*Reason these questions:*

1. Beloved, are you yourself a purifier or a contaminant? An agent of corruption or of transformation? As it was the case with Hannah, can anyone pass through you, no matter how brief, and be able to testify of inheriting values from you that helped him/her stand out of the myriads of corruption in our land?

2. Friend, can your parental investment help protect your children or wards against the corruption in their schools, work places, in the media, or elsewhere outside your direct supervison?

3. As a child, are you a pride or a shame to your earthly and heavenly parents by the way you live here and now?

Everyone has their own level of understanding in life. If you believe that it is a scam then you should not be existing at all as your parents wouldn't have met and decided to become one so as to bring you and your siblings into the world. The problem is that most people marry for the wrong reasons which in turn affects them. The post you quoted where the man complained about his wife always keeping malice with him, didn't he know the type of lady she was before marriage, it is now affecting him and he is here complaining.
