A 2-month-old baby has died after being raped in Kenya.

Kenyan activist, Njeri Wa Migwi, disclosed this on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

“Dear Kenya @60 years. A 2 months baby died after being raped. 400 rape cases in one county and that’s the reported cases, underreporting rape is so rampant. Kenya we have a GBV problem and it’s getting worse everyday. Our whole system is in shambles. I weep for my country,” she wrote. A Nigerian lady has oponed that marrying a poor guy is the worst mistake a woman can make in life.

The yet-to-be identified lady took to social media to make the assertion and attempted to provide evidence to support it.

She said that a woman shouldn’t consider marrying a man if he cannot afford to supply her with anything that her father can readily provide.

A radio DJ has been fatally shot during a live broadcast of his show.

Juan Jumalon, also known as DJ Johnny Walker in the Philippines, was streaming live from his Calamba home when a gunman burst into his home.

The guy claimed to be a listener who wanted to announce something live on air on 94.7 Gold Mega Calamba FM, but the situation quickly turned dark when he shot and killed the host as viewers watched live.

The gruesome croc attack happened when the youngster was on a fishing trip with his parents and four siblings in Limón, Costa Rica.

The boy was playing knee-deep in the Matina River when he was attacked on October 30.

Two car snatchers were arrested some days ago after they stabbed an Uber driver and drove away his car. Unknowing to them the car had a tracker. The tracker was used to turn off the engine, so they thought the fuel finished, then decided to sleep inside the car not knowing that the police were tracking them.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Godwin Obaseki has defeated the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu in his local government.

A video hits the internet recently and went viral. In the video, a pregnant woman was lying on the bare floor in front of Pumwani Maternity Hospital. She was crying and shouting as other women cover her with their clothes.
Some men tried to talk to medical professionals in the hospital but prove abortive. Women at the scene where shouting and yelling to create commotion may be medical professionals might consider letting her in but nothing of such happened.
Even the woman was crying, other women there didn’t attempt to help her deliver safely, rather they were shouting and running helter shelter.
Before modernised medical services came to Africa, our mother give birth safely with the help of few experienced women, since medical is not available in Kenya, I was expecting women to come and help her deliver, rather they were shouting.
This pregnant lady cried she weep, she screams, she moans yet, nothing happened, where are we going in Africa?
The worst part of this story is that Pumwani hospital is government-owned. The lady who posted the video claimed the dying lady was turned down of her request for service.
However, the main reason why she was denied medical service is unknown but as loud and disturbing as people were shouting, no single doctor came out to see what is happening.

The victim, a father of six children, hails from Agbaja Unuhu in Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
He left his family this morning in search of daily bread, only to lose his life in a controversial circumstance.
Reports revealed that members of Neighborhood Watch Security Outfit had early this morning tried to arrest the alleged mad man who resisted them.
The resistance led to the torturing of the mentally challenged person by some members of the security outfit.
After the torture, the victim was abandoned to the surprise of passerby who pleaded with them not to abandon him as such could endanger the lives of others within the environment.
Moments of the encounter, an innocent Okada man who dropped his passenger in the area, while trying to move his bike was suddenly beaten to death by the mad man who was yet to recover from the shock of the attack he received from the Neighbourhood Watch Security.
The ‘mad’ man out of anger over the torture he received, hit the Okada Rider on the head. This singular action led to the death of the motorcycle operator.

Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court, sitting in Ilorin, on Thursday, September 4, 2020 sentenced 24-year old undergraduate of University of Ilorin, Salau Olumide to three months of sweeping road and clearing of gutters for internet fraud.
The convict was prosecuted by the Ilorin zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) on one-count charge of attempting to cheat by criminal impersonation.
The charge read, “That you, Salau Olumide (a.k.a Rick Freeman) between November, 2017- August, 2018 at Ilorin, Kwara State, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court, attempted to cheat by personation by pretending to be one Rick Freeman, a white Caucasian with an email account; salauolumide@gamil.com and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 95 and 321 of the Penal Code Law and punishable under Section 324 of the same Law.”
Olumide is to sweep Tanke Road, starting from GTB junction to Abulennla Furniture, University Road, Tanke, Ilorin, starting from September 7 to December 7, 2020 or pay N50,000 (Fifty Thousand Naira) option of fine.

The Kaduna State Government has lifted the prohibition on daily prayers and services in places of worship but on condition that worshipers must comply with health protocols.
A statement from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, which was signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Mr Muyiwa Adekeye, noted that the decision was taken on the recommendation of the State Covid-19 Task Force.

Adekeye said that the health protocols are captured in the FORWARD campaign, which ‘’includes wearing Facemasks, Observing physical distancing, practising Respiratory hygiene, Washing hands regularly, Avoiding large gatherings, Remaining indoors as much as possible and eating immune-boosting Diets.’’
