With my years of experience in laundry and drycleaning business, I have since discovered that operations management goes a long way in determining the success or otherwise of the business.
Laundry management consists of customer service and operations. While the former is easily manageable, the later depends a whole lot on skilled and often times artisans which you do not have control over. This accounts for operational inconsistencies, bottlenecks and staff unreliability.
So many laundry businesses have closed shop due to the failure of their operations unit. While some are being held by the jugular by that "skilled" worker that has become larger than life, others are deterred from going into the business because of operational inadequacies. For these and more, LaundrySpot is here to partner with you.
We offer off-site operation management to laundry and drycleaning businesses. All you need do is open your shop, hire a good receptionist and we take care of the rest. We pick up your customers laundry daily, tag, wash, starch, iron, package to your specification and return fresh clothes within three days. No failure, no hitches, no dissapointment.
LaundrySpot Drycleaners have been in the business for over five years with loads of satisfied customers.

Ybaby: So I hire on Fiver quite a bit for tech "mallam" work e.g Product entry
So today I wanted to enter 1000 new products into my website and went to my customer on Fiver
This boy charges me $0.50 to enter a product anytime my product lands and he does it with his friend.
The picture he used on Fiver is the older picture but I got him to chat me up on Instagram today and the younger picture is who he really is.
I have a 16 year old boy who is in University already and runs eComm business too but today I questioned if I have done enough to bring up as a future provider -
Wow this little boys are just 10 - 13 from thier looks - I am so proud of them.
This is how to bring up a male child walahi ...... I will make sure my boy joins Fiver too..
I believe we are babying our boys too much in Nigeria (minus Anambra tribe )
What do you think? Mama d mama, Can you please recommend good coding training for a 13 year old? I asked same question on programming section few days back but got no satisfactory lead. |

djon78: In real sense actually the woman married you for all those things you could provide. She wasn't for your person. There are other men in there hard times, there women remained faithful, true and supportive. And some men can die of heart related issues, who doesn't have strong mind.
Such thing happened to a cousin of mine, his own lasted close to five years. We were discussing about it earlier this year, he told me if he had married another woman from his wife, he would have been dead by now. Actually he met two ladies before his wife, but God saved him that he didn't marry them. They would have left him.
But his wife stayed and totally supported him, those five years was terrible for him. Today he is worth 100s of millions, owns a manufacturing plant that employs over 80 people. Bought a brand new top of the range SUV last year for his wife. Who he sees as his best friend.
A man can have serious down time. I have seen billionaires go bust. Even Donald Trump one time went bankrupt, but he later bounced back to later become the US President. Life happens. You may be right but the learning point remains same. 8 out of 10 women would react same way if not worse. A friend's wife packed out when he had same issue, thank God he is equally geting out of the hole now. Resilience, patience, perseverance are virtues that differ from person to person. |
Family › Re: I Was A Husband: My Experience by AstuteJay: 9:34pm On May 17, 2020 |
Ybaby: I am only answering this because you sound like you really want to learn as I have extensively shared my view and facts on these matter.
Let's reverse roles, a man meets a woman who is size 8 and after 3 kids she is now size 22 and everytime he says I am not attracted to your new body, instead of her going to the gym and running 6 hours on the treadmill - she prefers to play the guilt card that this body is like this because I bore you 3 kids (she is right)
does that automatically make the man attracted to her 22 frame?
NO!
He may put up with it but he is not taking her out , sex is not the same, he is not buying her gifts and he may fall for a size 8 side chic
Bad of him!
It is not the man, it is his programming.
The woman can report to thier pastor, open a thread on NL, pray, shout, blackmail, change her moniker on NL, get other size 22 women to rally with it, organize a rally, riot ..... he is not attracted to her!!!!!
The man may pretend to be attracted, have sex with her, eat her food, even love her, cherish her but sexually he is not attracted to her.
Now!
It is his programming. He will be patient for 3 months or maybe a year who knows but patience is not the same as attraction
Men want beauty - women want security
If this thread gets to page 500 it does not change this fact.
It is not logical it is programming
Only the gym or plastic surgery can help her Only being a provider man can help him
Also thanks guys for making me the most popular NL member for this weekend.
I appreciate it. All attention is valuable , negative or positive - 48 laws of power
I will not be adding more to this thread but feel free to tag me.
Infidels, Kiss my jiggly ass if you have time to be on NL and you are not paying your kids school fees.
Ire. I have refrained from responding to your thoughts on this issue but with your latest submission, I can't hold myself any longer. You have thought me what will last a lifetime. I have been through peaks and valleys in life and have experienced close to what the OP cited but never understood why until now. You carefully dissected women's and nature's expectations of men and the consequences of possible shortfall. I have had my own share of these consequences when my business went South. Though I struggled to meet some basic obligation like shelter, clothing, feeding and schooling (at a substandard level), I was still lashed at. It got to a point that she questioned my "manliness"; "se okunrin ni wo yi sha? ti won ba n wa okunrin iwo na a nawo soke, hmmm" meaning "are you really a man, if they are making roll call of men, would you raise your hands"? I heard that particular statement two different times and vowed never to forgive her. A woman that have been to different countries that I have never been to on my bill, a woman that I have bought three vehicles, the last being a brand new SUV. I could not meet those luxury any longer and all hell was let loose. @ybaby changed my mind with her submission and made me see reason why she acted that way. Between Thursday and today I have had to give her something daily against my earlier vow. Gentlemen, take it as it is and do all you can to discharge your responsibility to your wife and family. Do not be an infidel! |

eboniest: Goodday ,i have a friend who is about venturing into this buisness,I want to know like how much can one profit per day or per week if you are fully into it . Like every other business, how much profit one can make depends on a number of factors. You talk of capital, strategy, the entrepreneur, economy etc. With good capital and right strategy one can make a good turnover from thousands to millions. I know of few people operating a med scale laundry with a monthly turnover of between #1m to #5m, and operating cost of 40-50%. But like every other business, it takes time. You will have to put in the time, efforts, hard work to build your enterprise to such height. If you are not ready to put in a minimum of 3 years to get going result, don't bother starting! |

Facelessforum: Good evening bro. I've been trying to get a shop for over 4wks now but I'm not able to. I therefore decided to start without a shop pending when I see one. Can you help me with tips on how to get customers even without a shop? How can I get them to patronise me. Thanks a bunch sir The lockdown is affecting businesses now, you may not be able to start until it is over unless your state is not affected. After the lockdown there will be so many shops to let for obvious reasons. If you need to start without a shop, you can try a combination of the following; 1. Get the contacts of people in your area and some estates around you via the Landlord association or estate securities. Send them your offer on WhatsApp or SMS and you must include free pick up and delivery. 2. Print flyers and share where your target markets are. You can put in an envelope and drop at the gate of the houses in estates around you. 3. Print small banners and hang at strategic locations. Please include your home address on the flyer and banner and highlight "free pick and delivery" boldly. You have to be aggressive with the marketing to get customers because of trust issues. If you had a shop it would be slightly easier because the customers will be at ease. You need to do tripple work of what a shop owner would do. Your appearance matters a great deal here. Don't show up at a customer's door looking unkept. Your person is whom customers would hand over their clothes to and if it's not convincing enough, they won't deal! If you are able to whao them the first and second time, you can ask for referral. It's important you let all your customers know from day 1, you don't deliver clothes without payment. Never ever deliver clothes without payment if you don't want to pack up in one month! All the best. |

Facelessforum: Hi, good afternoon. Please, I want to start my own laundry business, help me with any information that will be of help to me. Thanks Start that business today my brother, it's a good business that you can start with low capital. The following are the basic things you need to start; 1. A shop on a busy road (not conpulsory though as you can equally start without one. 2. If you have a shop, basic things like signage, desk, chairs, fan, shelves, ironing tables etc 3. You need to procure two pressing iron (steam and dry), washing buckets, washing machine (not compulsory), dryer (not compulsory). 4. Consumables like clean water, soap, starch, hangers, nylon etc You might need a receptionist, washer and presser but not compulsory as I started all by myself before introducing staff one after the other. You will need flyers and banners to market your business. If possible offer free pick up and delivery services. All the best bro. |

hesilo: Laundry business is not easy as they say o. Yes it brings revenue but please dont go into it when you are a proud person....what i mean by proud is when you qlways see yourself as someone that deserve better. Because when you start doing the ironing, even devil will be scorning you. If you are not strong and ready to work extremely hard, dont start it. I am saying g this because you would be ready to miss night sleeps and be awake most times in the night working. You must also not be planning to start a laundry business its not u that will be running it or when you wouldn't be often close to monitor the biz, you would be starting up business for some boiz. I said that cos when you finish clothes some customers dont come quickly to take their clothes so it tarries and when dey finally come and you are not around the boiz take the money and never talks about it. So if you also not ready for people to chop ur money, dont start this biz. I repeat its not easy especially when your business is situated in an environment where there is hardly Nepa light. Be ready to spend on the Gen for maintenance and fueling often this alone drains the business the supposed joy of income. Finally laundry gives money but it would never give you chance to have a normal life except you have immediate access to sch school boiz who would be doing some ironing and washing job for you at a low cost. To cap it all...as a beginner dont do laundry alone, combine it with barbing saloon so as while you wait for customers, people would also come for barbing therby keeping hope alive. otherwise you'd die before your time. All the issues you raised are not entirely accurate. They only look like a ploy to deter people that may want to go into the business. Power: tell me a business that relies on government power in this country. Even our homes are majorly powered by Gen. sets. Its one of the major items to procure upon starting any business in Nigeria. Mentioning power as a challenge is simply stating the obvious. Pride/Ironing: You need not be a presser to run the business just like you need not be a cook to run a restaurant. Ironing can be outsourced. There are guys that iron and charge about #50 or less per shirt, engage them. You call them on need basis and pay them per item ironed. Shikena. Monitoring: Yes its important mostly in the area of washing/ironing to maintain good standard and not for some boys to rip you off. Your presence is not needed at the shop once you put some checks and balances in place. You will have no life: hell no! The beginning might be rough like every other business but it won't take your life away. Outsource the washing/ironing if you can't hire staff at the beginning. The most important staff for starters is the front desk person. Combine with barbing; Awful combination! How would you feel picking fresh clothes from the drycleaner with strands of hair. It's a complete put off. Infact no one will take you serious when you have a shop that combines two non complimentary businesses. Focus my friend, focus! |
