Trial of Instagram socialite and alleged fraudster, Ramoni Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, has been reportedly adjourned to 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was contained in chambers orders of Judge Otis Wright, as Hushpuppi's trial will now resume by 9:00am, 4th of May, 2021.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has banned personnels of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Intelligence Response Team (IGR), Special Tactical Squad (STS), and other "Tactical Squads" of the Nigerian Police from operating on Nigerian roads.

The directive was issued in a statement released by the Force's Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

This is coming after the series of recent online protests staged by Nigerians while calling for the scrap of the Police Unit, SARS.

The SARS has over the time been accused of several human rights violation, especially on young Nigerians seen carrying electronic gadgets like laptop computers and phones.

Officers of the B Divison Police Station Awka, has rescued a day-old baby who was abandoned by the mother inside a gutter at the Abuja Estates behind NSCDC office in Awka, Anambra state.

Each member of the House of Representatives has been revealed earning over N9 million allowance monthly.



This was disclosed by Honourable Simon Karu, representing Kaltungo/Shongom, federal constituency of Gombe state, while speaking during a held event in Abuja on Thursday, to mark the country's 60th Independence day anniversary.
