I have always wondered why Trojan and USBattery did not see it fit to add an electrolyte level indicator to their flooded batteries.

They promised an update by weekend and this morning they did an update over the air. The max battery cut off is now 60 V.
The bulk and absorb can go from 48 - 59V and the low battery cut off can be set up from 40 - 50 V.
Enjoy your Growatt. They are quiet and a work horse. I have run a 2 hp water pump, refrigerator, freezer, fans and lights all at the same time with nary a whimper from the unit.

So, is the Growatt inverter now recommended for flooded batteries? How does one carry out an equalization charge using the Growatt SPF5000? Can the new voltage setpoints affect the durability of the inverter? I read some time ago of old axpert inverters that were prone to failure when exposed to the higher voltages of CCs.
Is the Growatt lithium battery available in Nigeria? Is it stackable and can it function perfectly well with the higher temperatures in our environment? I read of your travails with Victron lithium battery.
In view of your poor experience with USBattery flooded batteries, do you still recommend flooded batteries? Trojan flooded batteries were out of stock for a long time and Coscharis stopped importing tubular batteries. Are there other factors that may have been responsible for the unavailability of these flooded batteries including poor suitability for our environment?

I have used both for personal use and client use. The Trojans need watering more often but reach capacity a bit faster. My clients can't tell the difference. When you compare remember that the US Battery that you purchase is of a lower AH than the Trojan. Over the last 14 months we have installed US Battery batteries and we have had no issues whatsoever.

I thins it’s time we revisited Trojans vs USBattery to guide those of us who don’t have enough resources to experiment.

I think it is a bad idea- different capacities, different ages of batteries. You can have two separate battery banks and use a battery changeover switch.

For the small generator size, you can get a Zinox iPower Matrix Inverter - 1KVA/12V. However, the maximum charge voltage is 20A. It may take about 4 -5 hours to fill a drained 100 Ah battery.

My initial review of the easun 3kva inverter.
For now my disappointed with the inver is that it can't keep log, it would have helped me alot.

It looks like a rebranded axpert. I think the Emoncms software can be used for logging if it is truly a rebranded Axpert.

They are many modem routers with Sim input and LAN output. All the internet companies in NIGERIA including the GSM ones have various models. You can also get on AliExpress.com. Tplink has 4G modems with this functionality.

By idle usage, I mean the Zero load power. By its datasheet, the Zero load power of each Victron Quattro 48V/5000VA is 35W. Using a 3 phase setup of 3 units Victron Quattro, will the Zero load power consumption be 35W*3=105W?

The price of sustaining sensitive equipment/protecting them from power blackouts/brownouts is the cost of replacing UPS batteries. Next time a UPS dies, replace the batteries, not the entire UPS. Get good batteries to replace the dead ones (Long brand comes to mind). Of course, for each cycle of use, you should endeavour to fully charge the batteries before the next discharge cycle. And don't wait for the UPS to die on you before powering it down; that only kills the battery sooner.

The UPSs that died had problems with their circuits due to unstable power supply. Their batteries were fine.
Recently, there was a transient power surge that damaged the power supply of the protected equipment before the fuse of the UPS blew.

Please, I need recommendations for a UPS to protect sensitive medical equipment of about 200W. I am on my 3rd APC UPS within about 15 months, including the Smart APC series.
Does anyone have experience with the Gennex UPS series? I read that it isolates the AC output from the input.

It’s ZTE MF286. I have used it personally with NTEL, Swift, Glo 4G and MTN4G. It came unlocked. Its supported LTE bands are 1, 3, 7, 20, 28, 40. I do not know if it is still being sold.

The NetGear hs NAS capability via USB (also inbuilt firewall and some other security features).

If one uses the LVD to simply disconnect loads, the inverter continues running but self-consumption of the inverter may continuously discharge the battery below safe levels.
If one uses a device such as this, https://www.victronenergy.com/battery_protect/battery-protect , the battery connection to the inverter is opened and the inverter stops work. However, I don't know how safe it is to disconnect the battery while the inverter is working.

Like Pranil stated, it is probably easier to replace with an inverter with an inbuilt adjustable LVD.

Has anyone used these Monbat batteries? How reliable and long-lasting are the batteries?
