pendy79:You are a bloody liar, a very pathetic one at that. Number one, it was NEPA and not ECN. People can afford today to buy gen and simply, use it till light comes back. Back in 80s, that was not possible. Only the very rich had genes at home, when the light goes out you simply use candle. Don't bleeping lie about a paradise that never was. I was the fellow in my household, that use to carry that 50kg Jerry can on my head from the unipetrol station back home. The army was forced to provide us with gene, after my father complained about the lack of power in the cantonment. What was funny, is the number of people that did not have light. Just starting from trade fairs in those days, you can count the houses with light at night. Through Ojo, to Okoko and places like Ijanikin(FGC and colege of edu had light) and Agbara. Even in a town like Badagry with the ibereko barracks, only certain parts of badagry had light. Places like Ajara, Ibereko, Ajido no NEPA connection. Can you say the same today? You are a purposeful liar and unfortunately another incompetent buhari follower. |
pendy79:The events of 1983 is sad chapter, Nigeria will never go through again., Pity yourself, only a sadist and a mentally derange human being, will ever wish Nigeria, another 1983. Don't jump around, keep this thread to your mass murderer Buhari. |
pendy79:Only a liar will ever type those words. Maybe you are one of followers, who read about Buhari in the history books. Buhari gave us 100% light , when most houses in the Ojo Cantonment officers quarters, did not even have wiring not to talk of light. Ogbeni, I don't do them say. |
omenka:Why do you have to quote me about a booooring line? No vex, your new release is waiting for you in Sambisa. |
pendy79:Knocking out all the junk you typed up there, I could not but agree with you, on your last statement. Who compares Jonathan to a coup plotting mass murderer Buhari? |
When Buhari became Head of State in 1984 one of major policy implemented back then to fight Petrol smuggling, was the closing down of all Petrol stations within 100km of all border post and arresting anyone carrying petrol in Jerry cans. That's Buhari way of fighting, WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. ![]() He offered nothing back in the 80s, he's not going to offer jackshit now. |
More bad news for the almajiris crowd. |
Interesting, the sad truth is Wike is not stoppable. My only worry here is the politics of tribal cohesion in Rivers State. If PDP presents Wike in the general election, the man is going to win. A United Ikwerre front have the votes to make it happen, that's the political reality in River state. How the people of the lower land will be appeased is unfortunately unknown at this time. |
bashydemy:Some of you should not say, what you have no clue about. Military ranks ko military ranks ni. ![]() |
barcanista:This lying sack of sh1t, when will your mother do you some justice. |
Here come our resident aliens. |
Just read the comments of almajiris. The same colony of losers waiting to vote a mass murderer and coup plotter as president. Pastor Ayo remains, una Sultan's boss, die if you want. |
ISpiksDaTroof:Look at the amazon foool talking, Leave my country alone. ![]() |
karlmax2:That is the simple truth. Nothing NPN did, between 79-83, is comparable to the misery and demonic corruption, buhari and his gang of mad men brought into Nigeria. |
ISpiksDaTroof:See how you're fooling your sorry amazon asssss. |

PhockPhockMan:There is no escape for them, this time around. Buhari will be presented to Nigeria from 1966 till today. They asked for it, and they will get it.Some of them will need bypass surgery after the election in 2015. Buhari himself will never be heard from again, after the elction, Kastina will finally be his home. |
Abuja – The Federal Government on Wednesday in Abuja approved N165.2 billion for the construction of the East West Road, Section V (Oron-Calabar) phase 1 in Akwa Ibom and Cross River States. The supervising Minister of Information, Dr Nurudeen Muhammed, stated this when he briefed State House correspondents on the outcome of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which was presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan. He said the approval followed a memorandum presented by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs seeking the Council’s ratification of the President’s anticipatory approval for the award of the contract. “The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs brought a memorandum to seek Council’s ratification of Mr President’s anticipatory approval for the award of contract for the construction of phase one, section five of the East West road, beginning from Uyo/Oron roundabout in Akwa Ibom state to Calabar-Odukpani road in Calabar, Criss Rivers State. “The benefits to be derived from the extension of the East-West road are enormous as it will greatly reduce travel time from Oron, with the end of section four of the East-West road to Calabar from three hours to 30 minutes. “It will also reduce vehicle operating costs, opening up access to various riverine communities and the proposed Ibaga Seaport. “In addition, there will be increase in economic activities that will be generated as well as creating employment opportunities for over 1,500 skilled and unskilled workers, including engineers, technicians, and artisans. “The Council ratified Mr. President’s anticipatory approval for the award of contract for the construction of phase 1, section 5 of the East-West road, beginning from Uyo/Oron roundabout in Akwa Ibom state to Calabar-Odukpani road in Calabar, Cross Rivers State in the sum of N165,249,125,989.16, with a completion period of five years.“ He said the council also approved the award of contract for the supervision of construction of Calabar-Oba-Nsan-Okoroba-Ajasor road (Section 1) in Cross River State and construction of road/drainage at Mbaise Ring Road intersecting Owerri-Umahia road in Imo. According to him, the projects upon completion will enhance the spread of infrastructure development across the entire Niger Delta region. “The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs tabled a memo before council seeking council’s approval for the Revised Estimated Total Cost (RETC) of various contracts as a result of rising costs of critical construction materials, plants, localised taxes, spiral effect of inflation etc which has reached an unbearable level over the years such that the subsisting unit rates could no longer sustain. “Council approved the Revised Estimated Total Cost (RETC) 2 for the East-West Road Project, Sections I and II (Sub-Sections II-I and II-II) in the sum of N23, 484,369,831.99 inclusive of all taxes in favour of Messers Sectraco (Nigeria) Limited with a completion period of seven months.’’ According to the Minister, there is a budgetary provision of N52.7billion for East West road (sections I & II) in 2014 which is made up of N18.5billion from the main line budget, N21billion SURE-P budget and N13.3billion AFDB loan. The minister further disclosed that the council approved N131.9million for the purchase of a building situated at plot 187, Housing Area B, new Owerri, Imo state, as Zonal Office for the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission. He said the provision of office accommodation would enable NERC to effectively perform its regulatory function in the zone as there was provision of N565million in the NERC’s 2014 appropriation to cater for the transaction. He said the N131.9million meant for the purchase of the building included five per cent agency and five per cent Value Added Tax (VAT). Muhammed also revealed that the council approved 21.4million dollars (N3.5billion) for the supply and installation of a full Jet-Flight Simulator (5000 Series B737) with complete accessories for the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria. He said the project which would serve a dual purpose of a training facility for the college and a source of revenue generation for the country, would be located at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos “In addition, it is being used for the initial training of students as it will enjoy the patronage of the commercial airliners in Nigeria and the West African coast in the recurrent training of their jet-airliner pilots in compliance with the ICAO and NCAA regulations that pilots must have refresher training every six months. “The project will be funded from the sum of N3.34 billion provided in the 2014 Appropriation of the Ministry for the “Procurement of Simulator” for the NCAT Zaria, while the balance will come from the NCAT’s 2015 Budget. “Council approved the award of the contract for the supply and installation of a Full Jet-Flight Simulator (5000 Series B737) with complete accessories for NCAT, Zaria, to be located at MMIA Lagos in favour of Messrs. CAE, Canada in the sum of $21.5 million inclusive of all taxes payable at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment with a completion period of 24 months.“ He said the Council approved the appointment of a Transaction Adviser for the Rehabilitation of the Independence Building for the National Trade and International Business Centre (NITBC) project in Lagos State. “It is expected that upon successful completion of the project, the centre will generate revenue and provide a nonstop international centre for the development of trade and enhancement of foreign investment in Nigeria.’’ According to him, the centre will also serve as an engine room for commerce which will further propel Nigeria towards the vision of becoming one of the World’s 20 largest economies by 2020. “After due consideration, Council approved the award of contract for the appointment of Transaction Adviser for the Rehabilitation of Independence Building for National Trade and International Business Centre Project in Lagos State in favour of Messrs Infrastructure Bank Plc, in the sum of N150,364,000 only with a completion period of 12 months,’’ he added.(NAN) - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/10/fg-approves-n165bn-construction-section-5-east-west-road/#sthash.h4tDt7Fr.dpuf |
Obiagelli:The only bull crap on this forum, are supporters of the mass murderer buhari, trying to call him st Paul. That's not going to fly. By the way, you people have not seen anything yet. Wait till December/January |
Obiagelli:You got to be kidding ![]() |
[s] Omimah:[/s] |
ISpiksDaTroof:Dumbass, are you Ebola free, go deal with that and shut your pipe, let me talk about my country and you worry about yours. |
Obiagelli:If you don't know the value, no need wasting time with you. The fact your lord Buhari brought down this country's GDP by almost 50% is a major reason, Nigerians will give him the red card for the fourth time. |
arresa:You still remain a lying almajiri, tell us something new. Don't you have some pictures to pose from 100 angles? |
Obiagelli:Adjust your oil price for today's dollar value, what value is $64 in 1983 , , compared to 2013 it is almost $150 per barrel. You need lots of lecture. Get a book and read. |
arresa:Alamajiri, you lie too much for anybody to waste time arguing with you. You are a certified congenital liar here. Don't have time, for your west coast bullshift. |
Obiagelli:That is a question you should ask yourself. This discussion is why he stacked up the SMC in favour of northerners. Number 2, Buhari did not assume office, he stole an office. Shagari assumed office not Buhari. |
arresa:[/s] When, I need alamjiris to do some talking, I will seek you out from your camp. ![]() |
