Whynotthetruth: Boss, can you enlighten me more on this plzzzz...thanks I have to ask you to seek some reading assignments on Cameroon's political history. Biya and Ahidjo his former boss fought over power and Biya won. That's the short version. Ahidjo a Fulani Moslem gave power to Biya a Roman Catholic and tried to take it back. |

Rawani: No matter how you slice or dice it, the Fulani are the political masters of Nigeria. QED. You wished they were, it will take Tinubu 10 mins to undo Buhari in public. Then you will find out how lackluster your Fulani truly are. |

Read the power show down in Cameroon between Biya and Ahmadou Babatoura Ahidjo. Nigerians can learn a thing or two from old man Biya. |

tawa89: To think that Tambuwal couldn't come out to endorse and aid Femi Gbajamila is heartbreaking. Femi was the ringleader of those that voted for him in 2011 , he even jumped fence for Tambuwal yet Tambuwal didn't waste time in visiting Dogara , the new speaker....Damn !!! Politics is cold. Now, let's correct one fact here, more Fulanis voted for Femi, and against their fellow Northerner |

fx45: Spot on! U just made my day... These people don't know what they've brought upon us. We're already in a reverse mode and it might take up to decades before we recover from it(unless something divine or extraordinary happens)
I wept when Jonathan lost the election because I understood the implication of such a disaster. The Fulani oligarchy/hegemony is back and they're not going to let go anytime soon. The people, who put them in power will suffer the most under them, maybe by 2019, they will cut their loses |

tawa89: You ve to give them credit, Their solidarity when it comes to grabbing political opportunities is unparalleled in Nigeria nay Africa. That Fulani's are presidents of over 7 nations in Africa isn't a coincidence. Again, I see no need for that. |

tawa89: But you ve to applaud their Political deftness and finesse plus their divide and rule tactics. They used same trick on Old Eastern Region and it worked wonders. What is there to applaud, sorry I don't see it. The Fulani political position is well known in Nigeria, there is no deftness and finesse involved. The fools willingly leading themselves into bondage is the tragedy that needs explanation. |

stinggy: You can say that again. I remember a long-term tenant of ours back then. The man made headways very early in his biz. But the moment he started buying into Deeper Life's teachings and giving away properties, his biz took a nosedive. The last time I went home, he's still our tenant; 25+ years later. That is the tragedy of early deeper life members. Broken homes, abandoned children the list goes on. All for what they called the Kingdom of God. |

BackDatAssUp: Buhari is set to undermine our national security and replace the current chiefs with his bokos.
Why is he fighting the military and DSS? Is it because he viewed their attack on Boko Haram as a fight against the north?
According to Sheik Buhari, Boko Haram is synonymous with the north and any attack on Boko Haram is considered a war on the north.
This man will lead Nigeria to balkanization and I am so happy to stare this The sooner the better. |

Mogidi: I think the anonymity which this forum provides, gives people undue bravery which they otherwise lack in real life. I think we shouldn't use the braggadocio exhibited by kids on Nairaland to judge an entire tribe. These lowlifes maybe having difficulty in their real lives, coming online to vent their anger could be the only healing process they know. Just my thought though, bros how was your weekend? Weekend was great. NL and other online forums opened my eyes to a Nigeria I never knew, as much as I take things with a grain of salt, I cannot discount the level of hate from certain people. I will be misleading you, if I said these online forums have not changed my life. |

I never used to hate the Yorubas until I joined Nairaland and quickly noticed their tribalism and hate for other tribes. But the same people you meet outside NL are the ones commenting here. They say things, they cannot never say to your face. My online experience has become a guiding light, I just stay away from certain people, both business and personal. |

PassingShot: In as much as I don't want to blame Jonathan, under whose watch the affected states and indeed the FG became insolvent, he contributed in no small measures. That's incontrovertible.
@the topic, we have to always consider inequalities in allocation of states. That Akwa Ibom or Delta state is not crying does not mean their employees are not groaning. In the SW states you mentioned, it's unfortunate that the affected governors failed to save for rainy days as now.
I will support an FG bailout on: 1. Deduct reasonable amount from monthly allocation of states that are eventually bailed out. 2. FG pays directly into accounts of state's employees, their owed salary arrears while deducting on monthly basis from the state allocation. Nigeria is cash strapped because crude oil is cheap. That is the reality, any other postulation is nonsense. Some states are already financially bankrupt, there is nothing to deduct from them in case a bailout is offered. No matter what is done, the constitution, rule of law and our separation of powers doctrine will and must remain the guide. Ask yourselves one simple question, why are some waiting for a bailout, is simply robbing Peter to pay Paul. As the OP stated on this thread, people need to deal with their local problem and stop making them Nigeria's problems. |
