We've been hearing reports like this in the past 49 years. Anyway, oil is not an infinite resource. |
Abuja One of the complaints traffic management agencies like LASTMA, police traffic wardens and FRSC make is that they find it difficult arresting military defaulters of road traffic offences. This is because sometimes the military defaulters use their military status and arms to intimidate the traffic management officials. As a result, sometimes you find military vehicles brazenly driving against traffic, or driving motorcycles in prohibited areas, even in the presence of traffic management officials. But maybe change is on the way. While speaking at a press conference recently, the Chairman of the Ministerial Task Team on Traffic Management in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Comrade Ikharo Attah stated that the FRSC has began cooperating with Nigeria’s military police to get military officials who default in traffic arrested. He said: “Last Sunday when we had a problem at Kugbo, we had a very rough encounter with some uniform personnel. We were there when the Corps Marshall of the FRSC arrived at the scene to monitor his men and a General in the Nigerian Army brought out a gun to threaten a road safety official that he would shoot him, and the Corps Marshall had to advise that the road safety official looked at safety first.” “But we are pushing hard. The beauty of it is that we are getting the military police, Col. Madaki and his men who can punish their own and we know that is going to help us greatly.” Chances are very high that should this succeed in Abuja, it can be replicated in other parts of the country. This video linked to below purportedly shows what looks ‘unmisatkingly’ like Governor Sanwo Olu, Davido and Tuface singing about the okada/keke ban. There is only one problem. It doesn’t look authentic. Or do you think it is? Does that sound like their voices? Watch.

This is a lot like what Burkina Faso wants to do, except that Burkina Faso's own is backed by Federal Law and the civilians are given weapons. |
So the dead are no longer safe from these ritualists? The failure of the first ritual to bring money didn't teach them that money rituals don't work. |
William Shakespeare, As Nancy Pelosi tears up Trump’s speech Shakespeare is long dead, but he once observed, ‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned’. Trump refusing to take Nancy’s outstretched hand was a scorn that made Nancy Pelosi burn with ice cold fury. And she tore his speech ro tatters. The impeachment effort she led against Trump is about to fail. That would have added to Nancy’s fury. Trump has a good chance of being reelected if the current Iowa Democratic Caucus fiasco repeats itself. All in all, this is a clear sign that US politics is getting very heated and should be cooled down – the politicians should be cool about things for the sake of the ‘ordinary’ Americans. Source |
