At this point i'll support University Of Nigeria Nsukka(a.ka Home of Lions and Lioness)....
UNN achievement is 2much:
1. The wife of prof. Okeke dept of physics UNN won 2013 world women scientist international award hosted by Unesco.
2.stable academic calendar,imagine Unn is through with 12/13 academic session since july 5th,2013.meanwhile other skul are in their mid second semester coupled with ASUU strike.
3.Unn has the first dept of Statistics in nigeria producing gr8 men like Mike MBA d senior statistician at CBN.
4.UNN has atleast 350 professors.
Academic excellence:
If u got 2.1 in UNN u'r solid,no wonder it called the home of Lions/lioness.u'll face real life academic challenge. Among others.

@OP,Let me share my story with u because I know when there is life there is enough hope.I wrote O'L exams 7 times b4 i eventually made it,during those time i'll gain admission buh when d o'level result came out F9 is d order of d day to d extent dat i almost committed suicide;but I thank God 2day all is a story.later d following yr i gained admission in2 d University Of Nigeria...Bro keep on don't stop writting,dat's d battle of Life.

TO truly know d beauty of Statistics,let me give u some clues....
Time series:It is used to know the time interval of sales in industry.
Index number:It is used in stock exchange to know the % increase or decrease with respect to time.
Operation research:It is used to determine marketing strategy and structure.
Sampling techniques:It is used in auditing at financial houses et al.

What else?? Put in for BSC Statistics man for a rewarding future,Let me give u an example the senior statistician at CBN graduated frm my dept in 1997;and now he is earning up to #2.5m per month.Note in stat u need d skills to analayse.

I'm a 200L Statistics student at University Of Nigeria Nsukka,Statistics as a discipline give u d opportunity to work in any field of human endeavour be it CBN,NAFDAC,Any Government parastatals/Ministries,UNICEF,Financial analyst,Data analyst,Nigerian Stock Exchange,Auditing Firms e.t.c so, stat no beans ooo!

My advice for you is a semester does not determine ur entire sucess rather a part of it.Now,read ur lectures note,be discipline as in avoid procastination,understand urself to know when to read n assimilate better i.e me i read very early in d morning.Make sure u don't miss lectures always be there no matter what.by doing all these i know ur next testimony will be i made 5.0 Gp!!

muredo: Very very possible,during my own time,i applied 3 hypothesis,be determined,focused and prayerful.Make your social must be at low ebb,women and bad friend shift ground a little for them,and major thing,UNDERSTAND YOURSELF/NATURE. Good luck
