BONGO IS A GRAMMY AWARD WINNING, PLATINUM PRODUCER
Rising super producer, Bongo ByTheWay, has seen his work hit the charts with fervor throughout the last few years. Since then, Bongo has gone on to work with other big names in the industry such as, Jeremih, Omarion, Big Sean, Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla $ign, Keyshia Cole, K. Michelle, among many others.

Uforo “Bongo” Ebong was born in Nigeria. Soon after, his family relocated to Providence, Rhode Island. As a child who grew up in the church, Bongo took to music as an outlet. Coincidentally, he fell in love with the drums, or the bongos. By the age of 11, Bongo began creating his own beats.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in degree in psychology from the University of North Florida, Bongo packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue music full time. His start came when he and his cousin, Christopher “C4” Umana, formed a music production group, Lost and Found Productions. The duo received their first placement on Music’s Soulchild’s album, OnMyRadio. They went on to work with major talent including, Big Sean, Trey Songz, and Teyana Taylor. In 2015, Bongo and C4 amicably split, and the pair decided to pursue their careers individually. Since then, Bongo’s discography has grown, and he’s made a name for himself by working with top talent in the industry.

In addition to creating music, Bongo and longtime friend Roger McKenna, developed a clothing line, ByTheWay. The merchandise includes t-shirts, hats, and limited edition apparel.

MelesZenawi:
You are not serious at all.

So is no longer available longer, no Igbos in Akwa-Ibom now it is Ibibio in Abia state...

Let me set the record straight....Igbos and Ibibios have nothing in common. Check previous threads and see where your brothers stated that clearly.

So don't come into igboland and be claiming lands that doesn't belong to you....It won't work.

Stop spreading lies and rumours, most importantly.
You don't know your history. You call yourself igbo yet you don't know this basic historical fact about the land you now occupy belongs to ibibios.

MelesZenawi:
Oga listen and listen good.

The argument here is that there is no Igbo man in Akwa Ibom and no Ibibio in Abia state....that is it.

So your argument won't hold at all. Abia remains Igbo and Akwa Ibom ibibio , annang and other languages.

That how is it.

Stop creating confusion up and down.
You dont know your history.
I visit Arochuwkwu often. I fit right in there as an ibibio man that's the land of my ancestors. It may be in Abia state now, some people there may speak igbo but it is an ancestral ibibio land. And some of the people are my kin.

Woww, just reading this for the fine time. I used to think that we had Ibibios around that area because of trade and intermarriage, we learn everyday though
Well now you know. This is a historical fact. If you listen carefully you will hear the degoratory terms used by fellow igbos to describe people from these areas that I mentioned, because there has always been mistrust that those ibibios who stayed back in their ancestral homes and did not migrate out of the occupied territories may one day arise join with their ibibio kin and expelled the igbos from their land.
That fear is still there till today. Hence the marginalization and hatred directed towards our ibibio kins in our ancestral land which is today occupied by igbos.

Which igboland are the ibibios occupying?
There is none. But Igbos are occupying our Ibibio territories.

Ngwa the most wicked tribe in ibo land.
You must be an igbo who hate our ibibio kin from Ngwa. See that proves my point.
We know you hate them, the reason is because they are different, they have ibibio ancestry.

Ask yourself why does it matter now?
Ok if you're correct these lands belong to Ibibios in the past...and now Igbos in the present...u want them to go and chase them away??

Same thing happening in Israel, lands belonged to Israel before Roman conquests, then it became Palestinian territory, then it became Israel again...what's happening now? Fight fight fight!

It's best to let sleeping dogs lie...both tribes have moved on...mbok
Nobody is chasing anyone out, we just want to set the record straight for there are some who may not know this historical fact.
Majority of those called igbos in the present day igboland especially in the city and towns I have mentioned have ibibio ancestry.
CultureRe: Aba, Ngwa, Abiriba And Arochuwkwu Are Ancestral Ibibio Land. by Atouke(op): 12:20am On Oct 06, 2019
I dare anyone to challenge this truth and I will refer you to the history of the ihibio people and their wars prior to the arrival of the white men in the territory now known as Nigeria.
CultureAba, Ngwa, Abiriba And Arochuwkwu Are Ancestral Ibibio Land. by Atouke(op):
I have seen a lot impostors and ethnic warriors who want to promote their crude ethnic tendencies spew a lot of vitriol on this forum about Igbos and Ibibios, of late lots of threads have been created to foster the hate and bigotry.

To set the record straight, No right thinking Igbo born will there claim any territory in Akwa ibom they know it does not exist. There is no Local government area in akwa ibom that is igbo speaking or has igbo speakers. What we have in akwa ibom are border villages that may harbor speakers of both languages as is common in border villages all over the world. But in those villages , being small towns everyone knows who is who, and where each family comes from, where they are land disputes they await border delineation by the Federal government to clear it up. But everyone knows their tribe and where their families belong.

On the contrary, precolonialism the igbo wars of aggression claimed ancient ibibio land.
During the tribal wars, igbos occupied towns like Aba, Ngwa land , Aro and others which are Ancestral ibibio land and some ibibios left their occupied inland ancestral homes and migrated downward towards the Atlantic to the present day Akwa ibom state.

Aba = hole or space in ibibio language. ( in ancient ibibio belief, that's the hole the ibibios believed the spirit of their ancestors would come out from, the original name was Aba Ekpo meaning spirits hole in ibibio).
Abiriba = It takes two to play. Original name Ebere iba referring to the traditional ibibio sword fight called Ukwa, usually displayed by Ekpo masquerades.
Ngwa= feather in ibibio language.
Aro= thing in ibibio. the igbos after their wars of aggression added chukwu to aro making Arochuwkwu. The original name of Arochuwkwu was AroAbasi meaning Gods thing in ibibio.a sacred land of the ibibios set aside for their God.

If you go to those cities you will find indigenous ibibio people in those lands even though some of the have acclimated to igbo language but almost 70% of the igbos in those areas speak ibibio and are ibibios.
Even those who speak igbo know their history, that their ancestors are ibibios.

These tribes are hated by igbos in igboland because they always accuse them of being ibibios or not being igbo enough. That's a fact.

The ibibios historical have no quarrel with igbos because deep down we know a lot of them especially the ones I have mentioned In This writeup are our kin who choose to stay in their ancestral homes instead of migrating with their ancestors after the igbo war of aggression.

If you go to Arochuwkwu today you will see ibom hall that houses otherwise called the long juju house. They long juju are ibibio gods which are still worshiped in Arochuwkwu today. People there bear ibibio names like Uko, udo, etc.
They play Ekpe, Ekpo masquerades and can read chant and write Nsibidi. And share cultural ties and similarities with their ibibio ancestors. These culture is a remnant of their ibibio ancestry and heritage.

The igbos are occupying ancestral ibibio land and majority in those ancestral ibibio land are our own kith and kin.

Please, let it include Lagos-Enugu (Lagos to Enugu and Enugu to Lagos) in the new routes.

It was reported that enugu airport has been shut down by FAAN for runway expansion and repair?

The simple but functional design looks like something the state gov't can handle...no trying to hang your coat where your hand can't reach!
I agree, am hoping that the alignment will be such that it will allow for future expansion of the terminal, without cause to pull this one down for expansion. ie ability to add new terminals to the existing building .

Nice one.

Ibom Air will have a nice, respectable base to operate from. smiley

Folks may not notice it, but Nigeria is gradually becoming a developed nation.

In most African nations they count these nice airports in ONES, or twos if they're lucky. In Naija we have the new world class Abuja airport, Murtala Miuhammed Airport Lagos which will become world class once the newly built Terminal 5 is opened. We have Port Harcourt International Airport looking really great, plus a few other mid-level, impressive airports at Kano, Kaduna, Enugu, Benin etc.

Infrastructurally, we are coming up.
I expected more from the Chinese built airport terminals at enugu, kano,Lagos, portharcourt and Abuja.
But I guess they only gave what we paid for. Better than what we had before.

I like the design very simple and functional. Walk into a very spacious terminal hall, once checked in you go upstairs and wait for your flight to be announced.

Once announced you proceed to the gate and board your aircraft via and avio bridge.
Simple and fancy.
