We always crave for peace all over the world. But we prefer to go against justice if we are not favoured by it. Certainly, the perfect way to attain peace is through justice. If we always look at what to gain rather than getting justice done, we tend to create more terrorist (freedom fighter). |
They are preparing to soak our land with more blood in 2015, God forbid. If you support what witches and wizards support, then you've joined them. Be wise! |
Imagine, so what should happen to the girl he has been dating before he could buy a car? |
Hope PDP is not test-runing its strategies towards February 2015? ![]() |
Hmmm! 2015 is knocking, the number of votes from unemployed youth comes to mind as a greater part of power needed to open the door. Presumably, preparation for the job creation starts later this year to raise the hope of unemployed and make them believe that their vote is the ticket to secure the dream job. After election ................ in God we trust. |
Even if it is to woo farmers to vote for him, this is better than "rice politics". He is teaching them how to fish rather than giving them fish. Good idea |

From the look of things, many non-muslims will not wish to see an end to the boko haram issue because they use it as an avenue to heap insult on Muslims. because some of them get relieved anytime they do it. I suffered a lot of this at work but when they have some worldly things to gain from u they treat u as if there is no better person like u. Now any insult on me cos of my religion makes me wax stronger and I will rather smile than fight back. A road that leads to success is always rough and full of distraction but the end worth it. Congrats to all Muslim brothers and sisters. Pls smile and say Alhamdullilahi when u read this. |

Nigeria politicians are dangerous and deadlier than bokoharam. They av killed many in recent years through bad road, non availability of health facilities, political thuggery, pension fraud etc due to their politics of self interest. |
It's a pity some still doubt this chibok kidnap, I believe some could even doubt the recent bombing in abuja until their loved ones are affected. I believe if nobody is trying not let the dust about chibok kidnap settle, nig gov and security operatives will soon look the other way. SSS allegations would have been more reasonable if it comes out after the successful rescue of the girls. My question is "why didn't the military comb sambisa forest before BH kidnapped girls and use them as shield?" Let's take politics out of this and work together for the release of the girls. it may happen to someone else tomorrow. |
It's really sad but the mentality of some parents nowadays towards their children upbringing is pathetic. Since we decide to do it in foreign way, we should expect foreign result. U need to see how parents react when their children are punished in school. Trying to force them do the right when they have outgrown the stage will possibly lead to this. There was a situation where a child set pen for his colleague ( female) to sit on. The child was eventually punished but u need to see how the father stormed the sch with rogues so as to beat the teacher up. He made sure the teacher was sacked without even looking into the offence of the child. Now tell me what such child is capable of doing when he grows. |
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old undergraduate, Tolani Ajayi, of Redeemers University along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, for allegedly killing his father, Mr. Charles Ajayi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. The incident, according to the police, occurred on Tuesday, July 3, at their residence on Canaanland Street within the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Redemption Camp. Tolani was said to have slaughtered his father with a knife and later butchered him with a cutlass. PUNCH Metro learnt that Tolani afterwards allegedly packed his father’s remains in a box and dragged them into the bush within the camp. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the police later recovered the remains of the 60-year-old lawyer in a bush along Canaanland Street. He said, “The policemen who noticed the ground mark created by the box as Tolani dragged it, followed this lead which led them to the strange discovery.” He said Tolani, a 300-level undergraduate in the Department of History and International Relations, was arrested the same day in his late father’s residence after the discovery of the corpse and police preliminary findings. Adejobi added that the Divisional Police Officer of the Redemption Camp Police Station, Olaiya Martins, a Superintendent of Police, had led a team of detectives and some members of the community who noticed the strange attitude of the suspect while dumping the box. He said, “They traced the ground marks made by the box to the point where the body of the SAN was dumped and thereafter traced the mark to the house of the deceased. “When the police got to deceased’s house, the suspect was in a relaxed mood. “When interrogated, the suspect earlier lied that his dad had gone on evangelism, but he eventually confessed to the crime when he was taken to the Redemption Camp Divisional headquarters.” The suspect was said to have told policemen that problem arose when his late father confronted him for not responding to all the prayer points he (the deceased) was raising, adding that he (father) later slapped him. He said he got angry and made a dash for the kitchen and picked up a knife, with which he stabbed his father, adding that he later used a cutlass on him. It was leant that the police had recovered the knife and cutlass used in committing the alleged crime. Adejobi told our correspondent that the Charles’ corpse had been deposited at a morgue in the Sagamu area of the state. PUNCH Metro gathered that the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, had transferred the matter to the Department of Criminal Investigation Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation and necessary action. Nigeria government hardly give to the masses but still want to collect their hard earn money by any means. Paying access fee for the news that is always tailored to favour the government, I think power, education, health and other infrastructures needs more attention not media |
Alhamdullilahi!!!!!!!!! The most expected month is here. So happy to be among the Muslims that will observe this. Maasha Allahu. ![]() |
Jan, 06 2014, 1:01AM — siteadmin In a rare show of power she constitutionally doesn't have, Nigeria's First Lady Patience Jonathan has reportedly ordered the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu, to release the armed thugs of her close political allies, Senator George Sekibo and Evans Bipi. The six men were arrested on Friday by the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) in Ogu, the hometown of the two politicians, and they were handed over to the police for prosecution. But SaharaReporters has authoritatively learned that Mrs. Jonathan ordered Mr. Mbu to release the suspects as well as return to them the arms and ammunition that were found in their possession. It is as yet unclear if Mbu has complied with the order, but Mr. Bipi, a former domestic aide of Mrs. Jonathan, is understood to be actively trying to ensure the release. Meanwhile a crisis of confidence seems to have erupted between the JTF/Army and the police in Rivers State concerning how the story, which was broken by Saharareporters, leaked to the media. Mbu is said to have complained loudly that the Army/JTF must have leaked the story to the media. The police commissioner is further said to have lamented that the other security agencies (Army, Navy, Airforce, SSS) in the State are not helping him and the police at all in the fight against Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi. According to our source, he is citing the arrest of the six men and the subsequent leakage of the story as an example of such lack of cooperation, arguing that had the arrest been made by the Rivers State police command, the media would not have heard about it. A source within the JTF/Army has however dismissed Mbu's claims, describing them as ridiculous and preposterous. The source maintained that the army does not get involved in politics and certainly does not take sides in political fights, calling Mbu a joker if he expects the army to do otherwise. The source further stated that Mbu should look inside the police concerning how the story got to the media, saying that it was after the Army handed over the suspects to the police for prosecution that the story went public. It would be recalled that the six armed youths were arrested by the JTF on Friday on their way to Ogu in Ogu Bolo Local Government Area. They had on them several AK-47 rifles arrested six youths bearing seven AK47, 146 rounds of 7.62mm Special life ammunition and 10 life magazines. Their names were given as Daniel Ibito- Anga, Sunday Elisha, Uche Jenikachi, Ibinabo Lawson, and Okechukwu Okoro. Their leader, Ibito-Anga, is known to present himself as Security Adviser/PA to both Senator George Sekibo as well as State Assemblyman Bipi. Sekibo and Bipi hail from Ogu and are known to be very close allies of Mrs. Jonathan. http://mobile.saharareporters.com/news-page/first-lady-patience-jonathan-orders-rivers-police-commissioner-mbu-release-arrested-armed- |

CBN Governor, Lamido Sanusi Lamido By Sanusi Lamido Sanusi The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (CON), Governor, Central Bank Of Nigeria, alarmed at the unbridled theft of crude oil earnings by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and cronies of President Goodluck Jonathan wrote and hand delivered the letter reproduced below to the president on September, 25 2013. H.E. Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan President and Commander-in-Chief Federal Republic of Nigeria State House Abuja Your Excellency, Subjects: Non-Repatriation to the Federation Account by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) of $49.8 Billion representing 76% of the value of crude oil liftings in 2012 and 2013 Failure of NNPC to pay N22billion Nigerian Export Supervision Scheme (NESS) Levy Other Related matters I am constrained to formally write your Excellency, documenting serious concerns of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on the continued failure of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to repatriate significant proportions of the proceeds of crude oil shipments it made in gross violation of the law. Sources of Federation Account Revenues include proceeds from Export of Nigeria’s crude oil by the NNPC, Petroleum Profits Taxes, and Penalties for gas flaring, oil exploration licenses and concession block allocations, etc. Our analysis of the value of crude oil export proceeds based on the documentation received from pre- shipment inspectors shows that between January 2012 and July 2014 NNPC lifted 594,024,107 barrels of crude valued at $ 65,332,350,514.57. Out of this amount, NNPC repatriated only $ 15,528,410,098.77 representing 24% of the value. This means the NNPC is yet to account for, and repatriate to the Federation Account, an amount in excess of $49.804 billion or 76% of the value of oil lifted in the same period. Your Excellency, I have attached as an appendix, a table giving the analysis of the crude oil lifting and repatriations as prepared by staff of Trade & Exchange and Banking & Payments System Departments of the CBN based on the firm documentation in their possession. The failure of NNPC to repatriate these amounts constitutes not only a violation of constitutional provisions but also of both the Foreign Exchange (Monitoring and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act No. 17 of 1995 and the Pre-Shipment Inspection of Exports Act No. 10 of 1996 which stipulates that “An exporter of goods, including petroleum products, shall open, maintain and operate a foreign currency domiciliary account in Nigeria into which shall be paid all exports proceeds corresponding to the entire proceeds of the exports concerned”. Your Excellency, you will recall that as far back as late 2010, I had verbally expressed deep concern about what appeared to be huge shortfalls in remittances to the Federation Account in spite of the strong recovery in oil price. At a recent NEMT meeting in the Presidency, I also expressed a strong view that while Government needs to continue its effort to combat oil thieves, vandals and illegal refineries in the Niger-Delta, the major problem is transactions taking place under legal cover with huge revenue leakages embedded therein. Your Excellency, it is my respectful view that a place to begin is to insist on NNPC to account fully for all proceeds that were diverted away from its accounts with the CBN and the Federation Account. There are also other lines of inquiry which your Excellency may wish to authorize and pursue. These include; 1. A thorough audit of activity on any domiciliary accounts held by NNPC outside of the CBN. This is because the CBN has no record of either the dollar proceeds of these diverted sales or the naira equivalent being transferred to the Federation Account. 2. An examination of banking records of companies involved in Oil lifting and swap deals, including audit trails of regular payments to third-parties; 3. An independent review of the terms and condition of Oil lifting and swap contracts for fairness and equity and transparency; 4. Investigation and prosecution of Bureau de change (BDC) that have purchased hundreds of millions of dollars from the inter-bank market and are unable to account for these monies. We have compiled a list of these companies with recommendations for prosecution under Anti-money Laundering Laws; 5. Investigation of obvious avenues for money laundering, such as companies that sell private jets to Nigerians. The Central Bank stands ready to render full assistance and provide as much data as possible to assist these inquiries. Your Excellency, as an indicator of how bad this situation has become, please note that in 2012 alone, the Federation Account received $28.51billion in Petroleum Profits and related taxes but only $10.13billion from crude oil proceeds. In the period January-July 2013 the corresponding figures are $ 16.65 billion and $5.39 billion, respectively. This means, Your Excellency, that in the first seven months of the year, taxes accounted for 76% of the total inflow from this sector, while NNPC crude oil proceeds, accounted for only 24%. You will also note, Your Excellency, that NNPC liftings amounted to 64% of total oil liftings from Nigeria during the reference period, and yet its remittance represented only one-third of the taxes paid by the oil companies that exported the balance of 54%. Finally, your Excellency, we would like to report that NNPC has failed to keep up with payments of its levies under Nigerian Export Supervision Scheme (NESS) in line with this law, and currently owes the Federal Government N22 billion. As banker to the Federal Government and Economic adviser to the President, I am obliged to draw the President’s attention to these serious issues of which you have most probably never been aware in this detail. To sumamarise, my recommendations are to respectfully advise the President to: 1. Require NNPC to provide evidence for disposal of all proceeds of crude sales diverted from the CBN and the Federation Account; 2. Investigate crude oil lifting and swap contracts, as well as the financial transactions of counter-parties for equity, fairness and transparency; and 3. Authorise prosecution of suspects in money-laundering transactions, including but not limited to BDCs who are unable to account for hundreds of millions of dollars. I trust your Excellency will find the content of this letter useful and hereby reaffirm the support of Central Bank of Nigeria for your Government’s transformation agenda and effort to serve the Nigerian people. While thanking you for your consideration, please accept, Mr. President, the r enewed assurances of my highest regards. Yours Sincerely, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (CON) Governor, Central Bank Of Nigeria http://mobile.saharareporters.com/report/dear-mr-president-nnpc-has-stolen-50-billion-crude-oil-earnings-transcript-letter-cbn-gov-pre |

Members of the Imo State Rapid Response Squad Command ably led by the Imo State Commander have arrested a six man gang who specializes in the sale of human parts for rituals and transplants. The gang was busted yesterday by the Nkwerre Vigilantee Network. Though three of the guys are still at large, the other three are in police custody and they publicly confessed to being the mastermind behind the kidnap of a twelve year old girl from Umugara village for ritual purposes for a token of N500,000 and another N500,000 after delivery of human parts or victim. They also confessed being part of a gang that kidnapped, raped and butchered one miss Chigaekwu from Umunachi village last year. Three are from Umulolo Amaegbu, one from Amorji villages all in Nkwerre LGA and they are block moulders but specialize in selling human parts. Most shocking thing is that 2 of them are pastors of Lords Chosen Church, one was even caught ministering to children yesterday at their church. Another one of them is an only son from Amorji-ugwu and his father is an elder at Assemblies of Gods church,Nkwerre. They were first busted by the vigilantee outfit in Nkwerre through the assistance of some youth leaders before the police was invited to the crime scene in Umugara village Nkwerre to take over the case. Graphic photos below, Viewer discretion advised: These are some of the already decomposing corpses of some of the ladies killed and burnt by the group in this building after their parts must have been removed and also, pictures of the handcuffed suspects. http://m.naij.com/news/53768.html

Read ASUU & fed gov agreement http://premiumtimesng.com/news/146763-download-ASUU-federal-government-2009-agreement.html |
tsleazy: from what i heard, fed universities are better respected than private skuls...That was then. Why most private organizations peg the age limit for employment at 25 26 as against 28 30 of those days? Because they know is really possible in private schools to graduate and serve under this age. This is used to filter out fed uni grads |
fasho01: What has the university got to do with unemployment, when did the state of university become a criteria for getting a jobDo me a favour. Throw the same question to HR of any organization, the response will convince you. Why do you think employers don't just check your good result or certificate and give out a job straight away? Why they mostly prefer students from private schools? Pls make some findings |
Hmmm! Many blame ASUU, some students don't care, they just want to go back to school and graduate soon. We like to postpone evil days in this country. Ask the thousands of unemployed graduates that have spent years searching for job just because they are not employable as a result of the learning condition in our universities. can't we just make sacrifices and get it right once and for all? |
