@ vikin: i can absolutely understand where your sister is coming from. my first delivery was induced and i recieved no epidural. as the nurse was starting the iv line, she was saying "ok, you'll start getting strong contractions now" even before the words were out of her mouth one searing pain like that just hit me. after about 4hrs of this intense maddening pain, the doctor came and checked and said " goodd. you are doing well at 6cm dilation. we can expect delivery around 2am". this was between 8 and 9m. i just started screaming "cs....take me for cs" anyway the first drip finished and they administered a second with an increased dose of petocin. ladies, i cannot tell you what it felt like. i thought i was dying and going mad at the same time. my daughter tore her way out around 11.30pm. i will definiely not advice anyone to opt for it. this time around, i will be patient o. @maryygold: hold on to God's promises. there is nothing He cant do, and dont be scared. we are all praying with you. you will carry this baby in your arms. amen. @isale_gan: dont know any good hospitals on the island, but i'll ask around. @agiboma: ok. keeping my fingers crossed for you. |
Hi ladies. I need some advice. will be hitting the 8wk marker on thurs and i feel really ill, no nausea but i feel so feverish and i really cant afford to be ill cos i have hubby and a 3yr old to take care of. i dont have domestic help. so preggy ladies in the house any pointers on how to deal with the fatigue and fever? Agiboma, ehere are you? Come and share the good news. @marygold: how did it go? I am joining my faith with yours in knowing that the ever faithful God has done it already. congratulations. come and share the good news. |
@marygold: amen my sister. sorry about your losses. my first pregnancy went smoothly and i have a three year old daughter so i was really sad to learn about the loss of my second pregnancy especially since i was carrying twins. anyway God has already done it for us. praying for you so let me know how it goes. @airroseice: just walk into any pharmacy and ask for a urinne pregnancy test strip. its very cheap and easy to use. good luck. |
Hi ladies. first off, congratulations to all the ladiesthose who have been delivered of their babies and those still waiting) pregnancy is a gift whose value cannot be measured. anyway enough of the turenchi. i am in the 6th week of what will be my 3rd pregnancy. 2nd one ended at 9wks. they couldnt detect a fetal pole at that point so i had to have an evacuation. going in for an ultrasound next week to check on this one so i'm in serious prayer mode now. i have followed this thread from inception and you ladies rock! @exalt: your wife is due, and that is why she is worried. most women are tired from as early as 36wks, so bear with her and take her to see her gynae. she'll be having that baby anytime now. |

IBB is a mad man. That fact is established. My advice though, goes to I care- If you dont want to be mobbed on the streets of Lagos, or anywhere else in Nigeria for that matter, you better keep your stupid, ignorant and moronic views to yourself. Or you can redeem yourself by apologizing and telling us your cat typed the crazy stuff you posted. |
I agree that in many cases the hatred a girl has for her mil may be unjustified, but there are always two sides to very story... |
I had my first baby threee months ago, and was it an experience! The pregnancy was very uneventful, and I didn't even realize i was in labour when the time came cos the contractions were mild. Two days later, i was still only 2cm dilated, so my doctor suggested inducing labour. I foolishly agreed because the lady in the bed next to mine had labour induced and had her baby within an hour. Well what can I say? The pain was excruciating and 5hrs later i had only dilated 6cm. A second dose of pitocin was administered and i began screaming from the pain. Minutes later, my baby forced her way out. I was torn extensively in the vaginal wall. Also got an episiotomy. But the joy of holding my daughter makes it all worth it. This is an abridged version. The details will make anyone cringe. Remembering still has me cringing. |
Hi Kathy. Thanx a lot for the work on this forum. Its very noble of you. I had a baby three months ago. During the birth, I had a tear in the vaginal wall. It is not healing properly and it bleeds on contact. There is also a red fleshy mass(quite small) at that point. Pls what do you recommend i do? Secondly, I have a yellowish discharge. The doctor said its yeast infection but i'm not quite sure. It's kind of snotty in appearance. i had a vaginal swab. Result is as follows; yeast cells +++ epithelial cell ++ yielded significant growth of staphylococcus spp Pls what do you recommend i do? Thanx |
