When I read interview transcripts and people say they weren't asked for their documents, I always find it very hard to believe, until it happened to me this morning.
6:30am appointment, Lagos Visa Office, Window 6
VO: Good Morning
Me: Good Morning Sir
VO: Why are u going to d US
Me: To obtain a master's degree in Public Health
VO: How did u know about d sch?
Me: Did some extensive research online via usnews.com and Google.com, and narrowed my search to my sch
VO: Why this sch?
Me: This was where I hijacked the interview, gave him a brief lecture on the public health concentration/specialization areas my school offers and how it aligned with my career aspirations, integrated it with implementation of that specific knowledge and skill in the Nigerian healthcare system.
and convinced him why my school offers the ideal academic structure. VO then cuts in while I was talking, and said those magic words....visa approved.

No documents where asked for, not even bank statements and tests results, and to think my folder couldn't contain my documents, had to put them in a bag.

The key learning here is, prepare yourself, be confident, answer intelligently, that way you don't give the VO an opportunity to find a fault.
Above all, and most importantly...say a word of prayer, you have no idea how much it will do.

Goodluck to potential applicants

so no more hiv test in medicals?
Lol., of course they will run HIV test, but I don't think d result will be as significant to CIC as other diseases that could have a direct public health impact e.g tuberculosis, hepatitis or other communicable diseases. My advice, ppl should know their health status prior going 4 medicals

.... Well.... I am not in that line but there are jobs in that field ... I believe once u finish that program u might be a Pharm Tech ? Cos to be the main Pharmacist, there will most likely be some certifications and regulations behind it cos they don't joke with Healthcare at all... Again, I am sure u will be fine but in all If God says u will be fine... then why worry...
Thanks Sir, well I intend taking those certification examinations during my studies, I've gone through the study modules and I don't think it's something completely alien to me. Just wanted tomy employment chances post study and ease of PR in Ontario.
Thanks again.

...I will advise u not to tell him what to do... Let him decide on its own... If he is doing well and see no reasons to immigrate... then its a simple decision... At a point in a man's life... U take a decision and handle what happens after... Life is all about Risk and choices...
Really appreciate your top-notch inputs and wisdom in this it has been of immense help to myself and I think a whole lot of members of this forum. Pls I need I need your advice on something, I intend starting my studies at a pharmaceutical college in January in Toronto. It's a 1-yr program and I honestly intend on chasing PR on conclusion of my program. What do you think the chances are for a young pharmacist securing employment in Ontario, after studies.
Thanks

Joe980: Your employment letter, pay slip and SOA should be fine.On landed properties, C of O isn't a must.
Thanks Joe
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Aulor(m): 4:23pm On Oct 01, 2014
How about a situation where you can't get a study leave letter from your employers, would receipt of a landed property suffice(even without a C of O)?

I think the best thing to do is to pray for the repose of their soul. Lost my my younger bro last year, I still remember every ill thing we shared, I still still see his smiling face at least once every day.

Holmes007: 1) if u stay in Lagos; go to National Population Commission at Surulere with an afidavit of age declaration from the High Court along with N4000 or N5000. U will get ur birth cert in 4 working days.

2) Any original document of ur sponsor u cant lay ur hands on should be notarized(Certified True Copy) at the High Court.....
"Can't" or "can"?.. Just want to be clear, tnx
