I remember as a young girl in JSS1 then. I was really very smart academically, and so I was noticed by one parent in my neighborhood whose son was also in my class. The parent made arrangement with my parents on how we could be studying together. So, the parent would bring him to our house every 7:30pm and pick him home by 9:30pm. We became friends in the process, and he had some improvement in his academic performance. But something happened. In a particular night, as we prepared for exam, I noticed this my friend was writing some stuffs in some tiny pieces of paper, and I asked what was that for. He said he was taking the paper to exam hall. Meaning, "expo". I warned him never to try that, and the implication of being caught. But he insisted he would go in with the "micro chips". I told him point blank that if he tried that, I would personally report him. Funny enough, his seat was not far from mine in the class. So, when the exam started, I occasionally looked at his direction. Lo and behold, this boy brought out the paper and started copying. I just called the attention of the invigilator, and told him to search the boy. And they found the "expo" on him. He was severely punished! He nearly put his parent into trouble , being a member of staff of the same school.

I was brought up to eschew or hate evil. I know it's not easy to fight crime, but with wisdom, with discretion we can track down or give information that could lead to arrest of the criminals in our neighborhood.
