HzRF: o speak negatively about your nation and pray positively about yourself as if you can prosper in your home after cursing it with your mouth?
Nigerians expect Professor Osinbajo to wake up and smell the coffee and start telling them what he, his principal and their party plan for Nigeria and not to spend his time throwing stones at the innocent.
Gone are the days when you promote a candidate based on his region and religion. And Nigerians are far too aware in 2014-5 for any politician to grandstand by using highfalutin empty words to cast aspersions on his/her opponent in order to hide the inadequacy of their vision and plans.
I understand that when all you have is a hammer everything begins to look like a nail and so having nothing but criticism to dish out, Osinbajo is likely to keep throwing stones. However, seeing as he is a pastor, let me remind Professor Osinbajo of the immortal words of Jesus to critics in John 8:7-“he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone”.
As we approach 2015, I would like to point out something to Professor Osinbajo.
In 2011, there were four major Presidential candidates: President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP, Nuhu Ribadu of the ACN, Ibrahim Shekarau of the ANPP and Muhamaddu Buhari of the CPC.
Does it not say much about President Jonathan’s vision and his ability to communicate it effectively that of the three candidates who contested against him in 2011, two of them, Nuhu Ribadu and Ibrahim Shekarau, today share his vision for Nigeria and are helping him actualize it within the Peoples Democratic Party?
It says a lot about the President. And especially, it is evidence of the fact that President Jonathan is a man of vision.
Who knows, maybe Professor Osinbajo will see the light and come to appreciate the President’s vision after the 2015 election.
This has been a constant pattern with Buhari’s running mates from 2007’s Ume Ezeoke who saw enough reason to work with the PDP after that election, to Pastor Tunde Bakare, who shared and participated in the President’s vision for a National Conference for Nigeria.
In conclusion, let me say that it is obvious to all discerning people that God has blessed this man from Otuoke known as President Goodluck Jonathan. Without godfather, without scheming, without over ambition, God divinely set him on a trajectory that has seen him ascend the highest office in the land.
Even when power was within his grasp, the then Vice President Goodluck Jonathan refused to take it, preferring to wait on God to elevate him.
I can say without a shadow of a doubt in my mind that God has put President Jonathan where he is. And until He is done with him, no man, no pastor, no prophet can curse whom God has not cursed. Classic Osinbajo over to you. Mumu conman. |

Elai147: The dilution means the percentage of your holdings in the company is now reduced. Assuming the company has 1 billion outstanding shares and you own 100 million shares of it, this means your holding in the company is 10%. If the company is issuing 500 million shares in the form of rights, the total outstanding shares will now be 1.5 billion meaning your holding has now reduced to 6.7% (assuming you didn't take up your right). But if you took your right at the given ratio, your holdings will not be diluted because you will still own 10% of the company. Rights are usually issued at a discount to current market price of the stock but I don't know what Oando is doing and cannot categorically tell you why the right is being issued above current market price. This should be a question for either the gods or our ogas in NSEMPA.
Please I am not saying you should take up your right or that you may be getting a bargain if you take up the right. I was only trying to describe the rationality behind taking up ones right as asked by Omoxonomy. The decision lies with you as the shareholder after your due diligence. You need to ask yourself why the company has decided to raise money by issuing more shares and diluting your holdings. There must be a reason (financial difficulties or expansion, perhaps) why the company needs money. If the shareholders decide to take up these rights, whether the company will use the money for the purpose it was meant for is another question for the gods. There is also a question of what the ex-right value of your shares will be as the share price is expected to drop after the right issue to reflect the newly issued shares at the "supposed" discount. These are part of the due diligence you do before deciding whether to take, abandon or sell your right. Thanx my friend. Have a good weekend |

Elai147: If you do not buy at all or take up your right, your stake in the company will be diluted. That's the rationality behind it. brother pls I'm very interested to know more about this very issue as I have few shares with them and I don't think I can buy this offer. Pls can you shed more light on the (dilution) matter? Thanx so much. |

amdman: My child,
Its just over 31 months since that day I took the stroll down the aisle with your mummy and said our vows before God and man. Since that day, we have been waiting expectantly for you. Sometimes we wonder what is taking you so long. Sometimes we imagine its taking so long because you must be very special. Most times our hearts have remained undoubtedly sure that your coming is very close, and in fact closer than we think. But then, you do not need to keep us waiting anymore.
But don’t think we have not done our fair share of things that are believed will make you come quickly. I have been severally tested and found to be perfect, having millions of you inside me. Mummy has been severally tested too and everything is in place, no cysts, no fibroids. And we have sown seeds too, financially and otherwise. We have invested in other children and continue to do so. We have followed plethora of advice on what and what not to do. We have not allowed our expectations to metamorphose into anxiety… yet you are yet to come.
And you know what? Mummy needs you! There is just something about African culture and the African woman that has made having you a certificate of completeness. You are the very person she needs right now. She has God, she has me, but she needs you to balance the equation. She has heard how discomfiting pregnancy can be... and how much more painful labour is too. But I can tell you that she is ready to go through all of that and more just to have you. Mummy G that has a 3yr-old and a 2yr-old just gave birth another 2 months ago. Mummy T that has a 2yr+ old is already carrying another. These people live in the same compound with mummy. Infact, your uncle and aunty that married after your mummy and daddy already hold their children in their hands. Granddaddy and Grandmummy are not putting mummy under pressure. They call her from time to time to encourage her to be patient. My siblings and hers do the same too. But little by little, mummy is beginning to put herself under pressure. I am doing everything I can to help her, but I need you to help me.
And don’t think that I don’t want you too! I want you with the last drop of my blood. I love you so much my heart literally aches sometimes. Children’s day was celebrated yesterday in church and it was beautiful. My eyes were flooded with tears to see so many lovely children showcasing their talents. I know that if you were here, you would have been one of the best! Anyway, I bought some gifts for children that are needy on your behalf; so know that your name is already recorded in church!
Today is Children's Day. If you were here, I would have taken the day off work to have fun with you at Inspiration FM’s Children Day’s Carnival at Dreamworld Africana. We would have had many lovely rides and yummy ice cream together, and I would have been overwhelmed just to hear you laugh. Nothing can describe how I would feel just to hold you in my arms knowing that you are my seed become flesh.
Please do not heed all the bad news on the airwaves and think the world is bad place. Do not listen to statistics that show that Nigeria is uninhabitable. We have sworn to do all we can to make the world a beautiful place for you. You will meet many challenges, but most importantly, you would have been prepared to overcome them.
I have to stop now because am in the office and my eyes are teary again. My boss just asked what’s wrong my eyes (lol) so I have to run before they find I have been crying. But am not ashamed to cry if it will make you come quickly. I know that we will surmount any mountain to finally have you in our arms… it’s just that waiting can be so hard sometimes.
We love you as no other human can ever and will ever do.
From the best Dad you could ever have,
M My brother it is well with your family,I must confess that your note touched my soul and I just can't do anything other than to pray for you. I was in the same shoe with you but just this year my wife conceived with twins and she will due in a few months time. As long as God did it for me HE will do it for you too.dont worry HE is your strength |

Popowaa: Ever Gone On A Date With A Braggart Before?
I went out on a date on Sunday with this guy who had this very amazing personality. We started talking and I was initially enjoying it till he started bragging. He bragged throughout the night about what he has achieved in his young life, flaunting his phones and how he has travelled around the world and all those unnecessary stuff. I was starting to get bored so I pretended to doze off and he shook me up and asked me if I wanted to go home. I just told him he was talking too much so I wanted to go home.
He asked me out on Tuesday and it was even worse than Sunday. The guy bragged so much I decided to teach him a lesson. I ordered so much food I didn't even touch it. He kept asking if I wouldn't eat and I told him I will. This guy was insisting on me ordering more stuff since money is not a problem to him. I ordered more and ordered for a takeaway for my sis. But I swear I didn't eat anything. The guy started complaining when he had to pay saying I had wasted the food and money and I told him he can let them pack it for him. LOL.
He has been calling me since and i ve not not answered.I dont think i want to date a guy like dat but if he insist i will show him pepper. [font=Lucida S so Franca this is how you appreciate me after all I did for you on Tuesday?so you came to nairaland to tell the whole world that I am foolish and you re smart huh? FXKing2012: [b]The ignorant one is calling another ignorant (lol). Spiritual food is not meant for those outside the kingdom; how can you understand spiritual matters when u are not in the kingdom.
Luke 8:10 - He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, "'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.'
Mat 13:10. And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in parables?"
11 He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
12 "For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 "Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14 "And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: 'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 for the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.'
