Witj dur respect to all, i need a muslim to come out here and condemn this Pakistani minister. His utterance is provocative and cpable of kindling more protests and unrest. I can't beleive even Nigerian muslims in Jos and Kano, lately joined the protests. Pls, muslims, come out and condenm the Pakistani minister's advice.

Surprisingly, most, if not all muslim, are giving a tacit support to this killing of the movie maker for a monetary reward as non, i mean, no muslim has come out to criticize the kill-for-money offer.

Even the country with the highest population rate of Muslim- Indonesia, did not display this attitude of terrorism save for Pakistam. I have a brother in law who came in from Europe and got sick, hospital eventually diagnosed him witha ruptured appendicitis as he could barely walk. Oshiomhole Wins By Landslide

SaharaReporters has ascertained from a top official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Governor Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has won the Edo State governorship election.
Mr. Oshiomhole, the candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), has so far garnered 431,536 votes from 17 out the 18 local governments in Edo State. His main rival, Major General Charles Airhiavbere of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has so far scored 125,437 votes.
“It’s clear that the incumbent governor is going to win by a landslide,” said the INEC source, adding, “INEC will formally declare him after all the votes are counted in a few minutes .”
The June 14 election was seen as a final proof of the political irrelevance of Tony Anenih, former chair of the PDP’s board of trustees who paraded himself as a kingmaker in the state. Mr. Oshiomhole trounced his PDP rival, handpicked by Mr. Anenih, in both the candidate’s ward as well as that of Mr. Anenih.
President Goodluck Jonathan had deployed thousands of soldiers to major towns in Edo State in a bid to shore up the PDP’s candidate, but the people of the state trooped out in large number to ensure that Mr. Oshiomhole beat back his PDP challenger.

For those who say since Osho has discredited the conduct of the elction, he should not accept the outcone. Need I mention that Osho did not discredit the election in its entirety but only lampooned the INEC chairman for the shoddy kick-off and unavailabilty of materials at the stronghold of the ACN
Accreditation did not start at the scheduled time of 8am but 11am at some booth. I don,t expect to have kept quiet at such irregularity, I would have done more if I was in his shoes; we all the PDP as abracadabra party while announcing results. There are reports of people arrested already with fake results sheets and a PDP stalwalt arrested with stuffed ballot box.

Guys, thanks to all the reporters. I really enjoy the reportage. I wish dis had happened during Kogi eletions, we would not have gotten the surprise results via NTA. I just hope NTA wiLl not announce anothing at day break.
I want to suggest we start strategising on how to report 2015 elections. NL has come of age and we can do it. We could appoint nairalanders, dedicated ones from six geo-political zones down to states and to LGs to wards to report results here so as to have an idea of official outcome, though with some margin of error, say 5%.

It took GEJ 24hrs to effect Salami's suspension, why is it taking weeks to effect his reinstatement as recommended by NJC.

The PDP prides itself as the only national party in Nigeria while others, esp the ACN is a regional party, that is a south west party and some nairalanders agree to this by several comments read here. By definition, to me, being regional means you are restricted to a region, which does not apply to the ACN cos they are in Edo, Benue, Anambra and few northern states' houses of assembly while PDP does not have 100% dominance in the polity. So why the cry about pdp being a national party and the others being a regional party? Can someone make me understand better?

To be fair, given the fight/fracas that broke out(which caused some delays) when Joey was red-carded, even 10mins injury time wouldn't have been outta place. Just be honest and stop being a sore looser.

The added injury time shuld have come in the first half cos the incident happened in the first 45mins. No much delays in the second stanza.

This probe will nt mitigate corruption one bit. The menace has been cultured into all aspect of governance. I see GEJ further plunging our external reserve towards realising 2015 via hook or crook.
