Laycon is everything that epitomizes the average Nigerian, all heart no head. |
How can you run a whole state with N170 billion for a year? It's too small, I'm afraid. Health? Education? Infrastructure? To make it worse, a significant amount of that would be embezzled. Rinse and Repeat Cruise Country |
You hint "at" something, not "on". You're welcome to my TedTalk. |
Sententious malarkey. |
WOW. I knew this guy back when I attended UNN, with his distinctive glasses he always pushed up his nose. We both stayed in the same hostel upschool (Akpabio). He was quite popular, more so with the ladies. He used to be called "Ochile Eme" (or something along those lines). Heartbreaking to see this news. REST IN PEACE, bro. |
The monarch disclosed that the consequence of such act on the land are poor yields and famine unless the offenders make sacrifices to propitiate the gods of the land. You already have your sacrifice. Just find the Okada man and use him. |
So if not for Corona these poor people wouldn't have been fed? |
Oluneutral:Something that hasn't even finished unpacking its suitcase you're saying it has overstayed. You should be thankful that we are nowhere near the grim figures recorded in the Europe and the US. 2000 dead daily (US), 900+(UK), France registered over 1500 deaths earlier this week, IN A DAY! |

I don't know how much you were paid to start this thread to promote propaganda, but trust me it isn't worth it. If you chop the porridge finish, how do you now reclaim your birthright? I pity you! |
ZombiePUNISHER:They cannot and would not understand. Poverty has damaged their thinking faculties. This thread in its entirety is a slap in the face of every Nigerian. The so-called 'picture proof' is an even bigger slap. I weep for this country |
First high profile UK victim incoming. The virus doesn't know class or creed |
Stop pushing all these made-up TRASH stories to the front page, please. How old are the people that concoct this rubbish? Idleness is truly a disease |
KingAzubuike:Oga, keep quiet! He killed a man, a human being just because he thought he could. Death is final I do no support lynching, but God knows I would not have batted an eyelid if they had killed the moronic soldierr!!! ![]() |
My condolences to his family. This man went abroad to treat something else and was infected by the dreaded virus May his soul rest in peace |
I hope this post isn't misconstrued as tribalist, but I shudder to think of what would happen if the dreaded Coronavirus were to set foot in the north. |
DontBullshitMe:That's just to show you that this tribalism agenda on Nairaland is actively encouraged for creating traffic, otherwise, it would've been removed by the admin that pushed this to the homepage. I would not be surprised if Seun actively encourages tribalism. TRAGIC |
bottlewater1:Feel free to post it. I have seen a couple of videos of the incident myself, but they were all taken from a distance |
Several sources claim it was a pipeline explosion. |
According to several people on Twitter, there has been an explosion/loud bang heard around Festac-Abule-Ado area of Lagos, and different parts of the mainland. People reported seeing smoke/ash rising. Some claim it was very loud and shook buildings, saying it could be a bomb or a pipeline explosion. Anyone with first-hand information of what happened should please say. In the meantime, please stay safe!

The NBA suspended its season Wednesday after a Utah Jazz player tested positive for coronavirus. A source told the AP the player is Jazz center Rudy Gobert. In a statement, the league said the season would be suspended following Wednesday night's games. Earlier, the Oklahoma City Thunder's game against the Utah Jazz was postponed, with the only explanation a public address announcement citing “unforeseen circumstances." The starting lineups were announced, and it appeared the game was ready to start. Then, after a conversation among the officials, the teams went back to the locker rooms and the officials left the floor. The Thunder mascot and their hype crew, the Storm Chasers, tried to keep a full house of fans entertained during the delay. The halftime entertainment was moved up. Finally, the announcement that the game was called off came about 35 minutes after the scheduled start time.

President Trump said he was taking ‘strong but necessary’ action. President Trump announced on Wednesday night that he was taking “strong but necessary” actions to keep new cases of the coronavirus from entering the United States by suspending all travel from Europe for 30 days, beginning on Friday. The restrictions do not apply to Britain, he said. Speaking from the Oval Office, Mr. Trump called the coronavirus a “horrible infection” and said he was addressing the nation to talk about the “unprecedented response to the coronavirus outbreak.” https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/11/world/coronavirus-news.html |
Kaycee54321:It's still possible, yes. The most important thing is to have a first degree. Now you can overcome this shortcoming of not having a degree in these aforementioned disciplines by showing some impressive projects, certificates that you've been able to accomplish with the language(s) or tools in question (Python, MySQL etc) |
I'm going to be as brief as possible. As a newbie to programming/development, is it advisable to start out with backend, and later transition to frontend if I want to become fullstack? I only just started learning Javascript this year, and because I'm not the greatest fan of html/css (in other words, design), I decided to just learn Javascript basics and immediately started learning Node.js. I even bought a Node.js course from Udemy. The thing is, all the devs I bump into online (Twitter) are frontend developers. I usually see React/Angular etc on their profiles. Does it have something to do with the availability of jobs, especially seeing as I'm basically warming up to becoming a junior dev? Thanks |
Smartchoiice:I had my doubts regarding the veracity of this story in this era of fake news and especially when I saw this in the headline: I’m guilty, ready to abort the pregnancy - Wife, but then your post has saved me the stress of reading this trash. Left panting for more indeed |
seborrhic:Mourinho ran Man Utd from a hotel. He lived all his 3+ years in Manchester in a hotel |
This thread really epitomises Nigeria. It's crawling with myopic, tribalistic, semi-educated no-hopers. If this is what Nigeria has to offer, I shudder. Unpopular opinion, but i think in the background, the admins and maybe even the owner, give tribalism the thumbs up for traffic. It's very easy to clamp down on tribalism here on this forum, but they rather unwisely choose to turn a blind eye. A tragic shame |
