I know this thread will not see the light of the day but it must be brought to people's attention. I challenge you (moderators) to let us discuss this issue.

Nairaland has been inflitrated and now controlled by PDP agents. It is disheartening that whenever there is an opposing view to what PDP agents post on this forum, the view gets deleted. If someone is insulted by any PDP agent and you respond to it, the moderators delete your post and ban you. If a PDP agent insults you, their post get deleted sometimes but attracts no ban. Even sometimes, the insulting posts of PDP agents remain while yours get deleted and also banned. We have to ask this question: why PDP agents on this forum don't get banned whenever they insult anyone who have oppossing views from thiers? Why do moderators find it difficult to post thread that is against the PDP led government on front page? Why it takes only few minutes to post any PDP propaganda on front page? These are questions begging for answers.

Nairaland politics section has never been this bad in recent times. The moderators now do the bidding on behalf of the 40 laptop crew.

I have said it many times that PDP has infiltrated nairaland. If not, why your pictures was deleted? I know sexkill or Afam did it. If you argue with any PDP agents on nairaland, you get banned!

prince_onx: Naija is not a place where you stay away from for too long only expecting to visit when things change! That change might never happen! I now see naija as a place where you're less of a target if they see you more often. I came here same year as you (01) but have lost count of my visits to naija. I recalled going home one time with less than $2k for just two weeks. Once you have a house and mobility the rest is small gist. Also you need to build or establish some kind of relationship with folks back home and I don't mean just your blood brothers, sisters, and parent. Am talking about those extended families, school mates, and co. I am very much aware that this relationship might cost you money both for phone calls or buy me this buy me that but it worth it. Always bear in mind that no one will travel from Sokoto or Kano to come and kidnap you in Ibadan or Ogun state! Both the planing and acting comes from within and it won't happen if you have some kind of ties with this folks but if na wave you dey wave them when you drive by especially when you see them in group or one beer joint, that's where the plan and all that begin! One one bottle each might have prevented that! I've been doing it for years and I had never blinked for once when it comes to going home. I was in naija this past March till April 20 with my whole family and we were all over!

Imagine their mentality, bro. Indians, Chinese, and Nigerians are the most educated and professional immigrants in the U.S. If Nigeria was that great, why do Nigerians go to U.S, U.K, and Canadian Embassies everyday seeking immigrant visas? Why would anyone turn down the chance to have access to good education, electricity, healthcare, security, and healthy environment? That is what the western countries offer immigrants who are educated and ready to contribute to the society and not become a burden to the system.

My friend has been coming here since 2011 on holidays. This is a friend who is an Engineer at Total. He told me he earns in the region of 4 million naira per year, but I don't know if true or not. Each time he get here he asks why Nigeria got it so wrong. He is been asking me how I can help him have his children stay with me in the U.S to have access to good education and good life. This friend already built his own house at Magodo.

I have not even seen my Nigerian passports since 2005. I will need a Nigerian visa if I decide to visit. I visited for two weeks in December 2005 when I got a land. It is just not conducive enough to be visiting with all these kidnappings, robberies, and so on. I always have my parents to come over. I love to come back but there is nothing positive going on in Nigeria I can point to. I have NTA Plus here and I just shake my head each time I tune to the channel.

I got admission to study at Duke University, then decided to go to another school. I met my wife here, got a good job and decided to have my family here. Who in Nigeria is going to pay me half of what I earn here in a year? The house I am building in Nigeria is not the best but I can tell you it is a lot different from what you are used to seeing in Nigeria in terms of design.

All the government officials who are embezzling money are not residing in Nigeria. They are only in Nigeria to steal money. They have their famlies in UK, USA, South Africa, Canada and other developed nations. Kalu, Atiku, El-Rufai, Obasanjo, Gbenga Daniel, Soludo and co have their mansions overseas where they live comfortably. It will take Nigeria another 45 years to be as developed as South Africa. Nigerians between the ages of 20-60 will never see Nigeria well developed in their life time.

armed policemen arrived after 14 mins, policemen don't carry arms usually so they have to wait for the armed response unit! unarmed policemen were already in place by the corner condoning the street!

besides, the witnesses told the dispatcher the men were not leaving. the police thought they had a bomb in their bags to detonate so the situation had to be carefully looked into. the 25/30 mins quoted on CNN was a "witness report" and they have been known to be inaccurate!

As a matter of fact, police got there within 5 minutes but had to wait for armed police officers to arrive. Police officers in UK normally don't carry arms.

I am married here with two kids. I do want to come home. As a matter of fact, I have a house going on and more than 70% complete but I am not ready to complete it unless situation improves in Nigeria. I do want to be coming home with my kids every Christmas but I don't want to come there and have to sleep with one eye open.

I have been living in the U.S since year 2001. I will be returning home when there is 24hr power supply. When there is good road network. When police are able to respond to calls within 5 minutes. When there is emergency health and fire response squad that respond to emergency within 5 minutes. When there is rule and order. When the police stop brutalizing the people they suppose to protect. When there is true democrcy. When the President stops harassing political opponents. When there is adequate security of lives and properties.

I live in the U.S and Nigerians should live as well as the American counterparts. Look at the way billions being wasted on contracts worth 500% less than awarded contracts. Look at abandoned contracts everywhere you go in Nigeria.
