Just what I thought. None of you has held your state governors accountable.. hypocrites. |
^^^ Yeah, one can't miss that, you opend the thread for batch c |
And how many have you asked yours? |
Thanks.. |
Why are they telling us? Do somrthing about it already!! |
^^^ Nothing is impossible.. As long as NNPC is regarded as "government" and corpers are posted there. That's all the confirmation I need. Thanks, |
What you suggesting, because I am a good citizen, I'll march to the governors office and ask him how he's using the money allocated to the state? So because the state whatever is responsible to keep them in check, the FG and GEJ should just bone them. Let me ask you a simple question, do you have a business you run? Just because you have employees that are assigned a task, does it mean you don't check on them to see if they actually did it right? No wonder nigeria is the way it is, do your own I do mine, as long as you don't poke your nose into my business everything is good.. How do you expect to move foward with this kind of mentality!? |
Thanks guys for your contribution.. What about NNPC? That's not private, is it? |
karl max: Later some ignoramous would accuse GEJ of finnishing the ECA account.I wonder why a lot of nigerians are ignorant this days.the ECA account has always been shared by state and federal government but people don't ask their governors question on how it was spent but are quick to point fingers at the FG depleting the ECA.And what is the work of the FG n GEJ?? Oh yes, just allocate the money to the governors and don't give a dime what they use it for.. Pot calling fying pan black |
Na lie, how can he be born on 12:12 pm. Rubbish! |
36 billion naira, go to air! Chai, I am starting to contemplate runing for this office. |
^^ Love the enthusiasm, good luck with it. Morning fellas. |
sandylurv:Mine never left. |
since there is little or no guarantee that you will serve in Lagos, why this thread? That will be taken care by somebody, that's why I said I don't know. There's no guarantee with anything, but the chances are good. which engineering did you study?Mechanical engineering. I don't think abuja has the kind of industry I would like to break into, its more of government, parastatals etc. I have been to ph before, but lagos is more like the epic center besides corpers teach only in ph 100% I schooled in the north. none. even if you end up in Abuja, you'll still get to serve tea all day.I didn't mean thoes kind of government institutions, more like the technical arm of government institutions. That's why I am not considering abuja, I don't want to switch careers and become a politician, I want to practic what I studied. Can a corper be posted to private sector? I haven't heard of any lately, but if its possible then we're in play. |
Ellylace: no need to be scared gurls...start nw and make ur enquiries and connections..and if u can,try and visit lag before march..so u can be familiar wif d place and ease ur worries..Connections with who? I don't have family or relatives there, I was hoping to get my own place just like how sandylurv said. If I am sure of a good organisation, not teaching, I am willing to risk it, but as it stands now.. |
Wrong move, Wrongest move.. Ask iraq, libya, egypt, and every other place they have been. |
sandylurv: Scary reviews of lagosI guess were in this together. Am scared!!! |
^^^ and all those talking about the keypad thingy When your typing short and normal eveyday messages (apple and android), sure a virtual keypad is cool. But when your always typing and need to be fast (blackberry) then physical keypad is best, believe me am not talking about bbm. |
^^ Wish uld help, but I don't know how its done. People please!!! |
yokiti: I know someone serving there (Katsina) currently though in Batch B.You just succeeded in scaring me the more. |
braine: By chances you mean career wise? Or the environment?Career wise. I believe there is an exeption to every rule, hopefully I'll be. Unlike you I have never been to lagos, under normal circumstances would I like to leave my confort zone and go there, no! But, the earlier you set up shop, the better. So where are you hoping for, don't tell me anywhere, because that's not true. Everyone, has a place in mind. |
braine: Lagos has always been a 'no no' for me from day one. The environment alone is nothing to talk about. I believe in adapting to where ever one is posted to; except the Boko Haram states.I use to have the same perception, but realized life is about taking chances, what's the point of adapting somewhere there are no chances to take? Get my gist? |
Blackberry with no keypads, that's a just wrong! |
I just saw pics of lagos camp and my fears has just been confirmed.. Am so scared. Morning folks |
The front looks cool, but the back spoilt it, like one all those plastic android phones.. They should have made it look more sleek. |
smakati: It depends on d secondary skool o, I once read abt a corper dat was slaving away teachin 3 subject frm js1-ss3. On d other hand, wen I was in skool we had dis corper guy in our microbiology laboratory. We had madt fun togeda, went to parties, den because we were all matured he rily didn't have much work, I swear d guy had fun, unfortunately my skool didn't retain him.I guess its priorities. |
smakati: I feel ur pain, I hate teaching myself. But d fact still remains dat most corpers in lagos teach, so one might as well do it in a college environment.True.. I feel if you must teach the secondary school, more control unlike uni students think your the same with them, and might even hit on you. With second sko you have more time to do other things, uni. You must be therll time everyday. |
smakati: Sorry, lemme do d welcoming and acknowledgement ( dis word reminds me of my project, thank God am a graduate). Anyway, welcome to d thread. Why re u so keen on serving in a lagos. I think lagos is too stressful but dat probably because I ve spent all my life here, I will welcome an opportunity to travel away for 1 year. To answer ur question Cool places to do ur ppa include unilag, yabatech, lasu ( as laboratory technologist, workshop instructor etc), ministries/gov establishment ( bt dose ones re alaroro). I ve a friend who is doing her ppa wit corona skools, dey pay her and gave her accomodation.Thank you very much.. All this places you mentioned are class roomy, education line isn't really my thing.. |
^^ That's too far Wow! Nobody even Acknowledged the fact that am new and need help. |
