WORD STRESS

Stress is an extra force used when pronouncing a particular word or syllable.


1.When a word has two syllables,the first syllable is stressed

eg: Tea-cher => TEAcher

Mar-ket => MARket.

2. However,when the first syllable is a prefix,then the stress would be on the second syllable. Prefix is a letter or group of letters added to the begining of a word to change its meaning.
Prefix(s) like -'un', -'pre', -'re', -'ex', -'be', -'con'...

Eg: unhappy => unHAPPY

preheat => preHEAT

extend => exTEND.

3. Shifting stress occurs in words that can function both as a noun and as a verb or adjective. For a noun,the stress lies in the first syllable and vice-versa for adjective and verbs.

Eg: NOUN

import => IMport
record => REcord

For Adjectives and Verbs, the second syllable is stressed.

Eg: import => imPORT
record => reCORD.

Maths basically. Quick tricks to solving jamb maths. Just keep me informed by tagging me when you begin and people bring on their maths questions. I'll also gladly go through the steps with them, provided i can.
Let me give you a quick example.
Find the equation of a line parallel to y = -4χ + 2 passing through (2,3)
A. y - 4χ + 11 = 0
B. y + 4χ + 11 = 0
C. y - 4χ - 11 = 0
D. y + 4χ - 11 = 0
This is a jamb question i just copied from the internet. To answer this question the normal way, you have to go through long series of steps which involve determining the gradient of the line and then using some funny equation to calculate the gradient of the line and then the equation of the line.
To solve this faster, it's better to work from the answer. If the line must pass through (2,3) then the first part of the answer should cancel out 11 in the second part. The student immediately sees that y + 4x should sum to give 11. Immediately you realize that only D has y + 4x=11 so that (2,3) actually passes through. So D is the answer. No need to go through the hassles of following solution steps. You get me?

ZinoFego: There is no where in the cause of installing Joomla that you are directly involved in creating table. Please outline the process that took you there. A screenshot of the error page will also help us resolve the issue.

ZinoFego: Yeah....but a different website entirely. Because if you are installing the same website in two browsers, when one finishes, the other will give error.
