I have been using a Samsung Note 3 for a while now. I haven't had any issue with the phone until last week when i opened the back cover and removed the battery while the phone was still on. Then I started noticing the following:

1. Phone wont switch on after removing battery and replacing it back except I plug to charger. Once it shows it is charging, i can disconnect the charger and switch on. if i attempt to switch off, remove the battery again and reinsert it, my phone wont switch on until i connect to charger again.

2. Phone becomes very hot during usage and charging (very hot that I cant touch the upper part of the phone for few seconds after unplugging from charger).

3. Wifi and Bluetooth wont turn on......it only indicates a faded green sign and automatically turns off after few seconds.

I have done a factory reset, removed my sim card and sd card.........though there is a little improvement on number 2, number 1 and 3 persists.

does anyone have an idea of what might be wrong?

hmmm.... do these :
1. do a factory reset ( backup your stuffs if possible )
2. get a new battery
3. update to your phone to the latest Android OS available for your device.
P.S : what variant of note 3 do you use ? , SM-n9005 or SM-n900 ?

you gotta have a reason to root your device , you can't root for no reason...and yeah , it's safe if done properly + it could void your warranty though.

When I want to save numbers for eg. It could take almst 2 mins for the keypad to come up. back up your stuffs and do a factory reset.

But seriously, this is pissing me off, devices like samsung galaxy music get OS's upgrades while there processing power and RAM is shit compared to Tecno N3. Why don't Tecno release the source code for Tecno N3 so that if they are too lazy to update atleast let us make our own.

OT: Lolipop is shit, sucks, only new thing from 4.4.2 is rainbow colors everywhere, looks like a rainbow vomited on my phone. Not to mention performance, lags like shit. And the development category for apps for it are just plain bullshit, it's now almost ten times harder to create hello world app for lolipop than Kitkat.

Lolipop is Google's version of Microsoft's Windows 8. Shittiest OS, with no benefits over pre-decessor.

where did u purchase your phone? Brand new or used ?

He didn't get the update because he isn't running on a russian stock rom. perhaps you were running on a russian stock rom (only russia has gotten the update , other countries are yet to ) , that's why you got the update.
