Thanks, does that implies we paste the full sheet of transcript label at the back of the envelope meant for transcript from former school to OAU. Pls enlighten me.
Not at the back of the envelope. You will give them your transcript label in your school to attach to your transcript before sealing it.

In as much as I would have loved to keep mute on this, I can't just allow anyone to pass through the same ordeal I went through working in this college.

This is a no go area. If you like, graduate with first class upper, you won't be appreciated. I'm not writing this because of their pay (which obviously is a peanut) but because of the poor staff welfare.

If you're ready to end your career, you can go there to work.

Due to their poor working condition, I resigned in September, till now, they've not paid my August salary. I'm actually glad I left because I'm doing something worthwhile with my life now.

That place is a bondage.
Thanks for voicing out but trust me, some inquisitive ones will still go in the name of lecturing.

Thanks babe. Phew! I've commenced registration. As per the transcript label, I think its in 2 parts. The lower label for transcript with "To the Registrar" and the upper details go with the credentials to the admission office duly signed and dated. Right?
Pls reply ma'am
My transcript label was in one sheet containing all my info with my pix. I don't know if the pattern is different now. l

Well, you can give it a trial. Most department don't follow that 3pt stuff, if you pass your entrance exam you will likely be admitted.

OAU remains a Baby n Unprogressive institution. OAU Has Been SHUT DOWN! Rubbish! What Nonsense, Follishness n Madness! When wil all these strikes, aluta and rampage leadin to distruptn of a succesful academic program end!
Who do me hold responsible 4 this Shut Down? Who do i give a knock on d head for this insidous evil?
OAU, Wake UP!
It's not a strike per se. The undergraduate students were agitating for improved hostel facilities. They just did a day protest and the school decided to go for mid semester break earlier than scheduled.

The postgraduate students are receiving lectures though. So nothing spoil.

Hello all. I have problem in composing English language
I can spell words correctly but I'm not good in composing English. I can't construct good english. I don't even know how to compose letter. If there is anything I can do please just tell me. I'm ready to learn .I want to speak English fluently without any gbagaun.
I've bought some basic English books. What do I need to do? Please tutorians in the house help a worried soul here
Cc Avicky,mizmicolli, lalasticlala, Seun, etc
That's good. You have taken the first step in buying books but need to apply it now orally.

Read your books, do the exercises and practise your speech before a mirror or a group of people.

You can also get a personal tutor, for a speedy result. Cheers!

Thank, I intentionally said that, cos av seen a lot of people that are always shy to tell people that study Yorùbá language.
They will tell you that they did linguistic.
Linguistics is the scientific study of human
language, from the sounds and gestures of
speech up to the organization of words,
sentences, and meaning.
English, Japanese, French, Igbo, Ibibio, Edo, Tiv, Idoma Hausa, Arabic, etc are all languages. What do you call people that study one of these languages?
My dear brother, we are all linguists. I studied French/English by the way.

Don't forget we have Linguistics as a discipline too.

THE PREGNANT DEER -
Such a beautiful story !

In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give birth.
She finds a remote grass field near a strong-flowing river.
This seems a safe place.
Suddenly labour pains begin.

At the same moment, dark clouds gather around above & lightning starts a forest fire.
She looks to her left & sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.
To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her.

What can the pregnant deer do?
She is in labour!

What will happen?
Will the deer survive?
Will she give birth to a fawn?
Will the fawn survive?
Or will everything be burnt by the forest fire?
Will she perish to the hunter's arrow?
Will she die a horrible death at the hands of the hungry lion approaching her?

She is constrained by the fire on the one side & the flowing river on the other & boxed in by her natural predators.

What does she do?
She focuses on giving birth to a new life.

The sequence of events that follows are:

- Lightning strikes & blinds the hunter.
- He releases the arrow which zips past the deer & strikes the hungry lion.
- It starts to rain heavily, & the forest fire is slowly doused by the rain.
- The deer gives birth to a healthy fawn.

In our life too, there are moments of choice when we are confronted on αll sides with negative thoughts and possibilities.

Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us & overwhelm us.

Maybe we can learn from the deer.
The priority of the deer, in that given moment, was simply to give birth to a baby.

The rest was not in her hands & any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted in death or disaster.

Ask yourself,
Where is your focus?
Where is your faith and hope?

In the midst of any storm, do keep faith on the creator always. He will never ever disappoint you. NEVER.
Remember, He neither slumbers nor sleeps !! The strong know how to keep their life in order. Even with tears in their eyes, they still manages to say 'I'm Ok' with a smile. I send this to u because u are a strong person. That was why God heard your prayers and said hard times are over. If you believe in Him send this to others including me. Be honest and send this to anyone who makes you smile. GOD CARES ABOUT YOU........

DEDICATED ALL THE JOB SEEKERS ON THIS THREAD
Thanks dearie. Was so touched.
But it's been long you commented on the PG thread.
Abeg, help the prospective applicants.
