Its because you have ample time to yourself, once you are entreached in the bad scripted movies and there is no time again, you won't ever go near movies below 50% approval ratings, because you still have a lot of blockbusters that you haven't watched that have released.

Though some blockbusters makes sense, movie critics still rate them badly like John Carter, BvS, Inferno e.t.c.
