You can start by getting your credentials evaluated. |

Thanks for ur advice, really helped. Have paid for my form and while trying to put my dept I noticed is only MPIA that was listed under faculty of social sciences and I want MPA. Pls does anyone know which faculty MPA is under? Thanks for swift response in advance Mobebi: Bro, my advice for you is this... From all Indications you are not toiling the field which you graduated from, which to me is good- diversification.
Since you have 5 years work experience in the field of administration already, choose between MPA and MBA. Forget MPIA, reason because you are already in the field of administration which also includes Human resources.
You don't need MPIA at all. You totally qualify for MBA full time. The part time MBA has some clauses which I don't know if you qualify especially the compulsory three years in a managerial level.
So choose between MBA full time and MPA. But if you are fully employed then please go for MPA.
Part time MBA is almost 450k ( I am not sure though). MPA is about 112k or less. If its 112k, then it means you will pay 224k for the two years or less. |

How do I go about the credential evaluation? bubsykay: You stand more than a chance! Just take the IELTS more seriously because its determines how much score you get and how soon you get ITA, you can also start planning for your credential evaluation as it is written in the post you quoted. |

If you have a Masters and can evaluate it fast enough, at least an accumulated 3years experience in your NOC and can ensure you score 8.5L, 8R, 7.5W&S, you should score up to 481 in your CRS and can be in Canada before you wake up from your dreams. Ensure you prepare for the IELTS and get that grade once. Meanwhile, the Canadian Deputy High Commission handles study permits while CIC handles immigration, so your study permit denial has no effect on your immigration paroles . Infact, I've seen people who were denied even under EE but when they entered the pool again the 2nd time, they got their visa I think in like 2months and the person just entered Canada yesterday or 2days ago so, you got no problem |

Ok thanks, I remember seeing that administration fell under a particular noc and from what u mentioned, think is 1221 or 1224. Wt abt my age bin 29? And pls I was denied Canada study permit twice, hope it won't affect me but I have usa b1/b2 visa now. JesusDWay: She can apply. Administration is a skilled job, falls mostly under B. NOCs, 1211, 1221, 1222, 1241 and 0114 for Administrative Managers. |

Thanks for your response, I intend applying under express entry and the last time I checked, I saw I was qualified for administration but can't remember if it was under federal skills, though heard both has been merged and can't remember which noc it fell under but it wasnt managerial though. zandora: Unfortunately you cannot apply for FSW using your Administration job because it isn't a skilled job. Your job should fall under noc skill A, B or O. |

I've created this thread for Canadian Express Entry and outstanding FSW 2014 applicants since the previous thread became too long and has now been closed. I've also pasted a PDF link below which details the step by step instructions to apply for the Federal Skilled Workers Program via Express Entry.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4gWGgP8Vy5lSjFoaC01ZUtOaTg/view
In order to apply for Express Entry via FSW you need to first have a minimum of 1 year full time (30 hrs a week) or 2 years part time (15 hrs a week) skilled work experience which falls under NOC code A,B or O. Check for your NOC code below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
Next take your IELTS General test.
Then evaluate your degree or credentials via WES Canada (the best option). See link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
After doing the above, to find out if you've qualified you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSW grid. Calculate your score below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp
Now that you've qualified, you can go ahead and complete your Express Entry profile via the link below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp
Other things you must have:
Reference letters to verify the work experience you're claiming points for in the specified format below:
Written on company letterhead.
Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor.
Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature.
Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses
Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable)
The letter must include 5 things:
Your job title.
The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY).
Your salary per year (or month).
Your average hours per week.
A detailed list of your employment duties.
Next you need to provide police certificates from all the countries you've resided in for 6 months and above since you were 18 years. See link on how to obtain PC from various countries below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp
Then you need to provide proof of funds for you and/or your family:
Number of Family Members Funds Required (in Canadian dollars) 1 $11,931 2 $14,853 3 $18,260 4 $22,170 5 $25,145 6 $28,359 7 or more $31,574
Note: Birth certificates are no longer required for applicants but are only now required for your child/children.
Wishing you the best of luck !
