As a society that claims to be progressive and has produced a substantial amount of educated people , why do we still mutilate our women in the name of being virtuous? Female genital mutilation (FGM) is still rife in Nigeria, it is one of the few traditions that not only ruins lives but also accounts to the high maternal mortality rate in this country . There is only one tribe that is exempt from this tradition.
I am keen to hear your thoughts and views as this is something I come across on a regular basis. Any men who have come across this and your views would be appreciated.
