akpomeme: I genuinely think if an opposition party want to grab power from the ruling party, they should be able to sell their ideology to the masses and not disrespect the same office they are seeking to occupy.Tell me one ideology of d PDP for the past years. |

Live your life Doris. You do not to be married b4 you can be happy. But learn your lessons from the past if ever you are going to marry again. If u caused it , try change. If not, shine your eyes. |
This is the time for GEJ to nail Tinubu. Charge him to court for lookery. |
Being married to a woman does not guarantee her to be a next of kin. However we need to know why a man is using his brother as the next of kin. Perhaps the woman may be too ambitious or not trustworthy. My first child is my next of kin for reasons best known to me that I can't disclose. |
dederocs: i agree, marriage is overrated.better to be single and free/happy than married in a cage filled with sadness.Lazy men talk like this. When a lazy man meets a madam Chacolate.... it is better imagined than experienced. |
I love men (one in particular), and a good man is an absolute treasure! But the next best thing shouldn't be settling for just any man. I assume we get married to continue in our pursuit of happiness- if I haven't found a man I love, what's wrong with building a career to make me happy? Why do I have to accept a proposal from a man whom I can't make happy and who, potentially, would give me grief (rhetorical question please). For now “spinster” is a dirty word. We are just saying it shouldn't be.
Good talk! I am convinced by your argument. Your piece is far better and convincing than Madam Chocolates own. My ex broke our courtship because of reasons best known to her. I let her go after much persuasion but no agreement. I respected her decision. Today, we are married in different marriages. Men respect Ladies like these not stupid ones who think that is the end of life. As women are pressured and criticized so are men. We , only handles ours maturely. So what pressure will make a lady take a decision that will make her the ultimate loser. Ladies SHINE YOUR EYES. |
ItsModella: you quoted all that epistle just to say this? bloody hell.Tell me why you want to create a pay-as-you-go sex idea or community by discrediting marriage. Is this not an Ashawo talk? It is! You are advising other ladies to forget marriage and cling to this PAYG idea with the HQ in OPEBI/ALLEN. No man will ever advise his fellow friend not to marry because of some hiccups involve but will only say, SHINE UR EYES. |
ItsModella: Exactly, there's a limit tolerance can go. Everybody has a limit, agreed. That is the point when you play out your last card before knowing whether it is wise to walk out or not. The impression I got from her post is as soon as love dies, walk out. Wtf? It's not a relationship but marriage, you don't just walk out without thinking of the consequences. Whether you want to admit it or not, love dies at certain points in a relationship, it doesn't mean you should just give up. Try and make it work, not walk out. Unless it has become overly repetitive and you can see that no headway is being made.I agree with u completely. This Chocolate girl should just shut up, go home, and ask her parents the question she is asking us because CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. |
ItsModella: This is just wrong. Stop misleading people with such silly statements. So the moment love leaves the marriage, the woman should be wise enough to follow suit? I guess every married person on this earth would have been divorced then. My point is marriages that have lasted today did not last primarily because of love. The key is tolerance. At a certain point or points in every marriage, one will get sick of the love. If you doubt me, ask your parents. It is the couple's duty to find ways to reignite that love. That can only be done with tolerance, how much they can tolerate each other. Do you think living with another person all your life na beans? Do you think living with somebody for only God knows how long can be done with just love? Hell no, you need to be able to tolerate the person and his/her weaknesses. Not that I'm condoning emotional abuse of any sort but it must be made known that love is not just the primary building block of successful marriages, tolerance is the key thing.Divorced does not come up just at one spark of fire. In the past fire could have sparked and the couple quench it with love and tolerance but once love switch off , there is a limit tolerance can go. I prefer a divorce to ''another banker killing his wife'' because of one flimsy excuse. |
Chocolate I think the answer to your question is that Women themselves want marriage more than men. I know of many men who had to speed up their marriage plans because the lady believed she does not have age on her side. Some women do fasting and prayer than men about marriage. Women go to marriage or singles seminar than men. I agree with the guy that said women put pressure on other women when it comes to marriage- whether mothers or sisters or female peers. Someone once said that being married does not guarantee happiness, so she will always pursue her happiness no matter what it takes -marriage or no marriage. I completely agree with this person who is female. In a nutshell, men do not believe that women's lives can not go on without marriage but u ladies believe that. That sums up why some women will not be happy in a marriage and still not walk out- desperation. I think u should teach other ladies like u how to enjoy life without marriage. Looking forward to seeing a new post from u on that- ''enjoying life without a man in ur life''. Things like: Get impregnated by men and have ur baby and live happily as a single mother; If u need sex, get a guy u think needs sex too only not marriage; become a lesbian; adopt a child e.t.c. As an experience lady u can add more. |
