I have challenge about proof of fund please. can use a different proof of funds from two different accounts? Whether of same name or if different name. Like using my dad's company account for CAS and using my mum's personal account for embassy if need be.

Don’t use a company Acct and to be on a safer side use the Acct you will use for your cas for the visa and save yourself from problem

Yes you can apply alone using your statement of Acct as long as the fund in this account will cover up for you and later while in the uk the proof of fund for your defendants can either be in your account or your spouse Acct.

There is nothing like leniency with immigration rules, it’s all about meeting the requirement. Check everything I stated above, I am no longer in Nigeria, I hv paid for my accommodation, flight and other stuffs while in the UK so my maintenance fee is not longer expected to be part of my family application.

Once you indicate that your dependants are coming with you whether now or later you must show proof of funds to cover for everyone. If you go ahead and apply with your POF alone because they are not coming immediately, you will be given visa o but when your dependants will apply later is when jungle will mature. Your dependant will be asked to print your statement from the time you apply to the time your dependant applied. This is the case and question someone just asked if you go some pages back. Once they discovered that your funds as the main applicant have depreciated, the dependant will be denied and the main applicant visa cancelled. It has happened to people on this forum so be warned. Let no agent deceive you. Perhaps some folks escaped this before but the home office guys are not smiling these days as they suspect folks are moving funds from one account to another all in the name of POF.

If the proof of fund does not cover everyone the main applicant can apply alone and others can apply later using the same account but not the same statement and this can only work when the main applicant is already in the uk before others will apply.

To make this work, the applicant must show that he is already in the work and must support other family application with the copy of his BRP card and accommodation agreement papers. Let me quickly share how I did mine. One of my family member passport wasn’t ready at the time of my application so we couldn’t apply together and the proof of fund is not enough to cover everyone. I only needed 4.5m proof of fund because I paid my tuition in full. I applied with 19m balance and we were suppose to have like 22.5m in total to cover everyone. I got my visa in August and I travelled in September, we didn’t touch the money but we hv additional credit and debit along the line. Other family members applied in October with the same account but different statement and this time with 18m balance and they got their visas. That is the smart way to play around the system. Don’t make mistake to apply for other members of your family with the same statement or when you are still in Nigeria if your proof of fund does not cover everyone dependents states in your application at the time you get your visa, it’s automatic denial. I hope this help some family applicants

Plan going with the same method. Mine is a family of 4. I intend to go first, settle in, before wife and 2 kids come over.

I think I need to share this for some family applicants. I got my visa sometimes in August and I hv 4 dependents but the money in my account couldn’t carry everyone so I hv to apply alone and state that I will be traveling alone meanwhile I applied with the balance of 19m in my account after paying my tuition. I came to the UK in September, got my BRP and accommodation paper and sent copy back to my spouse, two weeks after my arrival my dependents group of 4 submitted their application with the same account but not the same statement now with account balance of 18m though I hv some debits and inflows but I never allow the balance to down below 18m for two from from the time I applied. To God be the glory they all got their visa yesterday.

My Advice;
If you do not have the capital to apply together, apply alone and come over get your BRP and other documents to show that you are already in the UK then your family members can apply after.

Meanwhile the system here is different am not trying to discourage anyone but be ready to adapt to difficult situation most especially if you plan to school and work, my school is 7hrs lecture daily with breaks in between so it’s kind of difficult to school and work

I came in yesterday through BA ABJ - London, Heathrow Terminal 5 was over crowded, no question asked, they only requested to see my CAS and I was stamped in. For those traveling with family most especially with children e no easy oo, the stress is much.
My advise is for the principal applicant to come first and sort out many things before the family will Join.

On the other hand, if possible plan your traveling to arrive London on weekend days, airport is usually filled and they won’t have time for too many questions

Got my visa some weeks ago as main applicant. I couldn’t apply together with dependents because some of their passports were not ready at the time of my application. Now I am traveling in some days time alone and my dependent are ready to submit their application. The point is this, the POF in the account now cover for all the dependents while I also hv some cash am going with to settle housing and some other stuff but it was the same Bank account I used for my application they are going to use. Can they go ahead to submit their application now or wait until I get there ? Please take note if we were to apply together the POF cannot cover all of us but I use it because their passport weren’t ready but they it cover for the remaining dependents while I hv also gotten some cash to settle rent and other stuffs on arrival. They will join me later because in my application I already indicated that we are not traveling together. Pls gurus in the house I need your most reliable response. Thanks

I didn’t add a single document not even a cover letter and I even forgot to add my weac which was part of documents submitted for CAS and I still get my visa approved in just 3 days priority
