After the meeting of the NWC of the APC which will be held at the instance of the President tomorrow, it would be decided that:
1. Ize Iyamu's victory at the Edo governorship primary should be formally upholded by Gideom led APC since Obaseki has gone forever.
2. Oshomhole suspension will be formally reverse and will be restored back as the National Chairman so as to further brighten the chance of APC victory in the general election. Remember that only him can lead the APC campaign against the the formidable forces of Obaseki led PDP as the immediate past governor and the presume godfather in the State
3. Akeredolu will be given the option of First Refusal of the APC governorship ticket in Ondo State.
With this development, it will later resolve to Win Win for the both sides of the coun. I foresee a stronger and united APC in the coming days

Edo PDP in Quandary over Court's Disqualification of Obaseki

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) appeared confused over the Federal High Court order restraining the party and its national officers from allowing Governor Godwin Obaseki to take part in its primary election.


The PDP had last week granted waiver to Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, to contest on its platform after Obaseki was disqualified by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It was for this reasons that the party postponed its governorship primary twice.

First, the the PDP scheduled its primary for June 19 but later rescheduled for 23 and now June 25.

But on Monday, one of the aspirants already screened to take part in the primary and lawmaker representing Oredo Federal Constituency, Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, approached the Federal High Court in Port Harcout, Rivers State, seeking to stop Obaseki from taking part in the primary.


In its ruling, which was adjourned for motion on hearing to June 24, the court granted the order restraining the PDP, the National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus; the party’s Deputy Chairman, South-south, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi; and four others from allowing Obaseki and any member of the part that have purchased forms and were not screened within the time stipulated in the timetable to contest the PDP primary election.

Reacting to the development, the Edo State Chairman of PDP, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, said the legal team of the party in the state and that of the national team are putting heads together and their briefs are being awaited.

Aziegbemi, who responded via a text message, noted: “We have directed our state legal adviser to consult with the national legal adviser of the party.

Justice Liman of the Federal High Court had on March 13, 2020, in the case of HON. TUNDE BALOGUN V ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (SUIT NO. FHC/L/CS/414/2020 affirmed the appointment of Sen. Abiola Ajimobi as Acting Deputy National Chairman (South) by the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and directed

“3. That an Order of Interim Injunction is granted restraining the Defendant either by itself or its servants, agents, privies, assigns, officers or officials or otherwise howsoever from ignoring or refusing to recognize Waziri Bulama as Ag. National Secretary, Senator Abiola Ajimobi as Ag. Deputy National Chairman (South) and Paul Chukwuma as Ag. National Auditor of the Defendant pending the determination of the Motion on Notice for Interlocutory Injunction herein”.

In furtherance of the above and complying with Article 14.2 (iii) of the APC Constitution, Sen. Ajimobi assumed the position of acting National Chairman on March 13, 2020. Article 14.2 (iii) provides: “The Deputy National Chairman shall act as National Chairman in the absence of the National Chairman from his zone”.

In essence, there was no vacancy to fill on the said March 16, 2020 as Sen. Ajimobi had already assumed the role of Acting National Chairman.

In case you don’t know, INEC is currently monitoring the ongoing primary election. The head of INEC voter education is live on channels tv and he said the commission was invited by the appropriate organ of the party and currently monitoring the election.

Nigerian lazy youth. The letter was stamped received TODAY JUNE 22, this is at about 11am . This is a letter backdated or claimed to have been written on Thursday 18th of June to stop a primary election of June 22 scheduled to commence by 8a.m. You can only postpone what you planned. The postponed date must fall within INEC timetable. You can only have legal basis when there is a parallel primary which produced another candidate. Any letter sent to Secretariat would be stamped received, the response depends on the feasibility of the request.

When is Geidom conducting his own primary? Did he even sell form and screen any aspirants?

See, it is the duty of the NWC to conduct party primaries and not that of the party chairman. So, how can Giadom with no NWC member singlehandedly cancel a process that was approved by all members of the NCW?

Anyway, he should continue enjoying the media attention that he’s getting. At the right time, he will fade away into obscurity. Water always find its level you know.

National Chairman is not sole controller of a Party. NWC decisions is what is Ongoing in Edo.

Authoritatively, INEC are currently monitoring the Edo APC Primaries. Police, DSS , Observers are also sighted.
